We enjoyed staying in this lovely home. The owners made sure that the home was stocked with all of the amenities to make a pleasant stay. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool/ping pong table, games, and movies. The decks overlooking a pond and the golf course were wonderful for morning coffee. Having three baths with six people meant no one had to wait to dress and leave for the day. The master baths with whirlpools and huge showers were great. It is obvious that the owners take a lot of pride in maintaining this home. It is also only a short drive to the Sapphire Valley Resort. We were able to use the resort for a small fee. We certainly hope to stay again soon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We recently rented this wonderful home for our family vacation and absolutely loved it! It is even better than the pictures! The owner has thought of everything...down to the luxury linens and towels. Our family of 5 had lots of space and the pool table/ping pong table was a hit! The mountain and golf course views from the back decks were amazing and we took advantage of the golf cart paths that were just below to ride bikes, run and walk our dog. Being so close to the Sapphire Mountain Brewery was also a plus. The home is beautiful and we would highly recommend it as it is the perfect Cashiers area vacation retreat!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Four adults and three children stayed in this BEAUTIFUL home over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it...the location between Brevard and Cashiers/Highlands was nice because our weather was rainy and being relatively close to each town gave us a chance to explore and shop for any last minute gifts and enjoy some wonderful restaurants. Kathee, the owner, was outstanding to work with--after renting many VRBO homes, that means alot to our family (they decorated for the holidays and included three stockings hanging above the fireplace for our three kids!!). Two master suites (one up and one downstairs) were perfect for our family and in addition to the other upstairs Queen bedroom for our 10 year old son, the office had the perfect sofa bed for our seven year old. Both up and downstairs have surround sound and the Dish network options met every need for our sports to drama/music fans! :-) The pool table that converts to a ping pong table met all of our needs when the rain didn't allow us to snow tube or hike as we'd hoped, we could run around and hit a tiny white ball and have a blast! The upstairs wood fireplace (with gas starter!) was also a nice treat on those wet and dreary days. Our only disappoinment was no snow...but every other amenity--all of the highest quality--helped ease that pang, especially for my kids who enjoyed the master suite jet tubbies! Did I mention the espresso maker? Thank you to the Littrell's for sharing your warm and wonderful home with us all!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: My brother and I own 'Manor on the Green' and my brother built this custom home. My brother is a builder and is mostly retired. He loves to garden and makes a great tomato passato from his garden. I currently live in CA and am also mostly retired. I love to garden, spend lots of time with my dogs, cook gourmet meals and volunteer for the Monterey Bay Aquarium tracking sea otters. My brother and I both have a love of dogs. My brother has one large dog named Sebastian and one 'princess' dog named 'Dovey.' My husband and I have 2 amazing australian shepherds and one 'princess' cat named 'Gem.'

Our family has lived in this area since the early 1980's. We love the serenity and beauty of this part of the country and have built multiple homes in the Cashiers-Sapphire area throughout the years.

Our 'Manor on the Green' is a wonderful home to entertain family and friends or just relax. There are many cultural events in both the local area as well as in Asheville or the Charlotte area. It is located approximately 5 miles from downtown Cashiers and is located near many activities. This home is wonderful for grilling on the spacious deck and sharing an evening with family and friends. We have outdoor games stored in the closet near the pool table for an afternoon of fun! One of the wonderful things is just to enjoy a beautiful walk around the golf course with it's beautiful views of Chimney Rock Mountain.
