Why the Owner Chose Waynesville
We bought this house to get away from the heat and hustle and bustle of city life in Miami.. and come to the mountains. Since then we have moved from Miami to Minneapolis, New York City and now Cincinnati. No matter where we live we always come back to the mountains for vacation.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love to hike and there are so many outstanding hiking trails around Western North Carolina. Lake Junaluska is about 15 minutes and we love to go down the mountain and take a walk around the lake . it is quite beautiful!!! The town of Waynesville is historic and has lots of wonderful shops.
When we want a dose of the city, Asheville is about 20 miles east of here. We love having lunch or dinner at the Grove Park Inn sitting on the terrace and looking back at the mountains. Asheville also has great shopping, art and great people watching!! There are several access points to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the drive is just breathtaking.
Because Smokey Mountain National Park is so close there are many hikes to choose from. there are trails good for all types of hikers from beginners to advanced ... it never gets old

I have been to this lovely house several times and absolutely love it. As a matter of fact, I am on my way there next week for a repeat experience. It is nestled in the mountains above the charming town of Waynesville...and only 20 minutes to Asheville. The hiking in the area is spectacular...and plenty more to do if you love the outdoors...I also love all the anitiquing in the area too... ...you can't beat the Sunsets sitting on the porch looking out on all the Mountains resding a book and drinking tea!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
