Poised above the championship Gallery Golf Course, with sweeping views of Tucson and Marana city lights, is an elegant “Cottage” with two Grand-Master bedroom suites and a separate 400+ sq. ft. 'Guest/Office' casita with a full bath and breakfast bar.
Each of the two spacious, Grand-Master bedroom suites is a private retreat with a King bed, a seating area, a TV/entertainment console, and a personal computer work-station. Both suites are complemented with a luxurious travertine-tiled, spa bathroom that features his & hers walk-in closets, two sinks, a large soaking tub and a spacious shower.
A separate 400+ sq. ft. casita is located in the entry courtyard just steps away from the front door and is a welcoming guest suite outfitted with two twin beds, a full bathroom and a handy breakfast bar for making that first, delicious cup of coffee.
With more than 2800 sq. ft. of interior living space and three separate outdoor patios, this cottage offers plenty of room for enjoying the dry, mild winter climate that Southern Arizona is famous for. There’s something for everyone -- books, movies, music, games, puzzles, and of course all your favorite TV channels on a 50” Sony HD TV.
If gourmet cooking and entertaining are on the menu, then the large, dine-in kitchen with all GE Monogram appliances is the place to start. The extra-large 48” refrigerator, gas stove, electric oven, microwave and warming drawer are what every home-chef needs. You'll want for nothing in this fully-equipped kitchen and pantry: pots & pans, a blender & food processor, a toaster, a coffee maker, a griddle/panini maker, a crockpot, cookware & bakeware, chef's knives and utensils, basic cooking ingredients and plenty of dishes, glasses, serving bowls & platters are all are within easy reach. Add to that a high-output, gas Bar-B-Q grill on the covered patio and you’ll have all the ingredients for first-class dining and entertaining!
And, when you want someone else to do the cooking, then Dove Mountain is just the place to be. The Gallery Golf Club dining room is just steps away (no need to drive), so you can enjoy a cocktail or two while the chef prepares his simple, elegant signature dishes for you -- No Worries! Just a short distance away are many more dining and entertaining options, including the elegant, new Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain with three, fine restaurants, a PGA-Championship golf course, luxury spa and pool.
Plan to fill your days with lots of fun activities, for at Dove Mountain you’re only minutes away from them all: world-class golf courses, tennis courts, hiking & biking trails, swimming pools, exercise & yoga classes, elegant spa treatments, movie theaters, restaurants, and shopping centers and more are convenient and plentiful. This home is the perfect winter getaway for golfers or hikers. The home is clean and wonderfully furnished. Arizona sunsets on the patio are one of the highlights of our stay. We also enjoyed walking down to the Gallery Clubhouse for dinner. This is a great property to explore Tucson from. Very good access to the interstate and shopping. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed BBQing Steaks on the outdoor grill. The beds are very comfortable with nice TVs in all bedrooms. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back again.

Best Rental We Have Had In 10 Years of Renting!
Best Rental We Have Had In 10 Years of Renting!
We have been renting properties in Tucson for the last 10 years and this has been the most accommodating and well stocked house yet. We spend a month in the rental, so having the house prepared for our stay was great and cost saving. The owner of the house was always available for questions and was genuinely interested in anything she could do to improve our stay. The property itself sets up great for small groups with the casita having a separate entrance from the main house- this feature gives groups their space and privacy. We will plan to rent this property again in the future.

Year Purchased: 2006
About: My husband and I are both pilots, so we love the endless blue skies and wide open spaces of Arizona. Flying around Arizona, we have discovered how diverse this state is -- the vertical drama and breath-taking beauty of the Grand Canyon and Sedona gives way to wondrous snow-capped mountains and pine-scented air near Flagstaff and Show Low; Phoenix and Scottsdale are modern, world-class cities, while Bisbee, Tombstone and other towns in southeastern Arizona remind us of a more rustic time when settlers made their way here to raise cattle and farm the land. Before we moved to Tucson in 2006, we lived in several beautiful, resort communities in California. We were drawn to Tucson for its year-round weather . . . we have fallen in love with Tucson, because we have found a community in which we can pursue our life’s passions and discover new ones. My husband has enjoyed learning about the stars and the universe and he revels in the dark skies over Tucson which are perfect for astronomy. I, on the other hand, seek the special light that arrives at dawn and dusk each day, and am pursuing a new-found interest in landscape painting and desert photography. Both of us are also enjoying Tucson’s other, too-many-to-count, outdoor pastimes: golfing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, gardening, and so on. Thanks to the nearness of the University of Arizona, we have found many local experts willing to teach & guide us in all these activities.
The Dove Mountain area is very special because of the natural beauty of the landscape. The Tortolita mountains provide an exquisite rugged, rocky backdrop to the surprisingly green desert flora. We fell in love with the unexpectedly lush beauty of the Sonoran desert landscaping at Dove Mountain; it is such a contrast from the ordinary grassy-green, palm tree-shaded landscaping of most resort areas. We chose “The Cottages” at the Gallery Golf Club in particular, because of the proximity to the club and golf course. The clubhouse is literally just steps away -- an easy stroll and your there, ready to enjoy a round of golf, an refreshing lunch or afternoon cocktail, or an elegant dinner And now with the Ritz Carlton also just a short distance away, its easy to become spoiled by the variety of golf, dining, hiking, and just plain relaxing possibilities that await each day! Among the great pleasures of life on Dove Mountain is lounging on the patio -- with a fire to warm your back -- and watching the sunset with a sweeping vista of the near and distant mountains, city lights, and farm lands which goes on for miles. After dark, when evening temperatures are warm, you can turn your gaze skyward and watch the myriad of stars wheeling above you and wonder at the vastness of the universe. The air is so clear in Tucson, that on a crisp, clear winter morning you can see the Kitt Peak observatories, more than sixty miles away!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Without a doubt, what sold us about this particular cottage is it’s floorplan. We love the twin Grand-Master bedroom suite plan. When guests come to visit, we can offer them a “Suite” that rivals some of the finest hotels in the world! Plus, with the courtyard casita we have extra room for additional guests, and we also use it as an office, a craft/project room, a poker-night game room, and so much more. We also really enjoy our proximity to both the Gallery Golf Club, the Gallery Sports Club, and the NEW Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain. Whether we’re dining with friends at the Golf Club, taking a yoga class at the Sports Club, or enjoying a casual lunch and the water slide at the Ritz Carlton pool, we are never far from home.
