We spent 2 days here and it was a great experience. I have 4 kids and everyone slept comfortably, master had enough room to keep our playpen in. Everything you need is there, as my husband pointedly said "if we walked out of our house and someone stayed there is the way this place is set up". The back deck was prefect for my whole family (25people) to enjoy a drink after a birthday party at the lake. My older boys enjoyed walking in the woods directly in the back. I loved the decor in the house and my sisters made lots of compliments as well. Great time and wonderfully priced. Thank you for an easy transaction as well.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three month stay at Canyon Lake. We have 2 dogs and the fenced in yard was a great place for them to get to know all the deer that roam the area. We traveled to many towns in the area and we still were able to drive back to our place at night. House had all the comforts of home and was very clean upon our arrival. Kristy was available by phone when I had any questions. We even had a bottle of wine and some chocolates waiting for us when we got there. The community rec center has loads of classes that you can attend. Exercise. Zumba, line dancing and many more. The Giannaries Italian restaurant that is nearby is fabulous. Their dinners, pizza and desserts cant be beat. The view from the deck was even nicer than in the picture. Rooms were big and I wish I had the storage at home that this house has. We would recommend this house to anyone who wanted to stay in the area. Great Time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

Great place and location. Had everything we needed. The home was very pet friendly and clean. The view was beautiful. Communication with Kristy was great too. We needed help with something while there and she got back with us right away. Went to Greune for lunch and shopping. Very close and convenient. One afternoon we ate at Genarro's Trattoria, we found it to be inexpensive and delicious. We also went to Viking Archery. Great place to practice. I would definitely recommend this home and plan on going again. If u have pets, this is the place to stay. Thank you, Kristy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed here for our 20th anniv getaway. This place was all we had hoped it would be and more! Very spacious and clean. The back deck was our favorite....a great place to sit and have your morning coffee and watch the deer and then bbq in the evening. Even though there are other homes around, you would never know. It's extremely quiet and peaceful and we were so Thankful for that aspect of our weekend. We will more than likely return to this comfie getaway on the lake sometime in the future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Really loved the views, deer and surroundings. The house for us was absolutely wonderful as we are into lighthouses and shot glass collecting. Comfortable serene and relaxing. Will probably go back in the Fall when it is not 100 degrees outside, lol. At one point we counted 19 deer in the back yard which was cool. Overall money well spent and the batteries were recharged. Thank you Kristi!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed over the 4th of July holiday and loved all aspects of this home. The owner was great as was the location. It was larger than I expected from looking at the photos. The back deck is wonderful, I have never seen deer that come up and beg for food like these deer!!! I would recommend this property and will return in the future!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

The description of this property in the promo on VRBO was up to date and accurate. Photos were up to date. For people totally unfamiliar with the area, Kristy's directions were a great help and she was easy to deal with in regard to payment with credit card. There were just two of us, adults, -- golfing was close by and we finally mastered San Antonio traffic and tourist interests.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners.

We had a nice stay in this two bedroom, two bathroom home. Our favorite space was the large deck. The yard was small, but you could see Canyon Lake from the deck. The home was well stocked with anything you needed to cook and all of the little necessities you may have forgotten to pack.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house was more than we expected. It is roomy and beautiful and the deck is gorgeous with an awesome view. Unfortunately, it rained the whole weekend we were there, but we still had a great time on the deck and lit a fire in the chimenea to ward off the cold. Kristy was very accomodating and had everything ready for our arrival, even went to turn on the heater. I will definitely return in the summer and would recommend it for everyone. Oh yeah, the deer are a plus. Every morning they are in the yard and are a beautiful site.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Canyon Lake:
I've been going to Canyon Lake as a kid where my dad would take me skiing and tubing. I had always wanted a lake house. I chose Canyon Lake because of the location. Although it was out of the city, it was so conveniently located to everything.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Although I've grown out of the tubing and skiing, I still enjoy being out on the boat with friends and family.
I also love the serenity that comes with being on the lake. In the mornings I drink my coffee on the deck and read a book, and the evening we BBQ, and watch the sunset.
I can't forget to mention that we love to go to Gruene!!!
