  Akumal and the Playa Caribe condo was the perfect way to ring in the new year. Our family of four immediately felt at home with everything the condo had in it. It was so clean! There was tons of space inside and out. Having the pool right in front of the condo gave us the feeling that it was our own private pool. Most days the kids had it to themselves. The views were to die for. We saw turtles poking their heads up all day. The beach at Akumal Bay was great for snorkling and seeing the huge sea turtles. We went twice. Yal Ku was one of our favorites and is just a five minute drive to do the best family snorling ever. The staff at Playa Caribe was so helpful and friendly. Daily maid service was a bonus. Augustin in the office gave us all the tips of where to go. Joyce (the owner) was incredible to work with. Her emails, photos and info sheets made the trip smooth. We have stayed in other condos in other cities in Mexico and this has by far been our favortie holiday. We will be back.

  I usually do not write reviews however this time I felt I really wanted to share. The owners and their condo far exceeded any expectations my family and I had. This was our 2nd time in Mexico and will never stay anywhere else if possible..The location was perfect for all our activities. Having a pool a couple feet away and steps to the ocean to snorkel was extravagant. The people are friendly and warm and the condo itself luxurious, homey and comfortable all at the same time. Joyce (the owner) went out of her way to send us info.,suggestions and helpful hints. This condo is for everyone looking to have a relaxing, comfortable, safe, clean and special vacation to add to their memories.

  This was my first time vacationing in the Yucatan. A few years ago I went on a cruise to Mexico on the Pacific side and this was so much better! The water was so clear and the sand so white it was beautiful. The condo we stayed in was amazing it was right on the beach, just a few steps from the ocean and the pool. The first night we got there we even saw a nest of sea turtles hatching, a one in a lifetime experience! The condo was very clean and it was nice having the filtered water system in the condo so I didn't have to worry about getting sick (like I did last time I was in Mexico). We were there for 9 days and wanted to stay more. I look forward to going back again.

  Wow, We could not have been happier with this discovery. This unit has everything and is in the perfect location for the perfect Mayan vacation. Nothing is better than the pool out your door, the sand beyond that and then the Caribbean only foot steps away. You can wake up and walk out to it all, no going up and down stairs and around the building stuff to get to the beach. The unit is spacious, fully equipped and incredible comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, and who doesn't love complete daily maid service. I highly recommend this unit their is no way anyone would be disappointed.

  This was our first ever vacation to Mexico, and Akumal is unbelievable. Our stay at Playa Caribe exceeded all expectations. This condo is amazing, you step right out the sliding door and you are at the pool on the beach. The condo is clean, bright and inviting, we felt as if it was our home for the 10 days we spent there. Having there own water purification system is such a piece of mind for everything from drinking, cooking and showing. The maid service is excellent, everything was so clean and I can be a bit of a neat freak. We are already planning a return trip with the kids. One word to describe Akumal and this condo, OUTSTANDING!
