DaCamp is a beautiful non-smoking lakefront home with all the amenities of home, yet with the get away atmosphere that you desire. With 250 feet of lakefront who can ask for better. When you arrive just throw your bags down and head out to the large spacious property filled with large Oak trees, Magnolia trees and fruit tress to snack from. There is also a barbeque pit, fire ring, a swing, chairs and a picnic table. So, pull up a chair, grab your book and take in the serenity of it all, or grab your binoculars and do a little bird watching while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

Of course you could just head right out to waterfront and drop your line right off the new lighted pier. Don’t forget to set out your yo-yo’s or launch your boat at the launch on the property. After you return with your catch of the day, dress your fish at the fish cleaning station next to the launch.

For the golfer, we are located just minutes from the world class Cypress Bend Marina and Golf Resort. Travel a few miles further to Toledo Town where you can find anything you need from tackle to antiques, as well as grocery and gasoline. The restaurants there serve wonderful breakfast, lunch and scrumptious seafood buffets and steaks.

Once the day of outdoor adventure comes to a close come inside this spacious three bedroom home with it’s large living area and sunroom that also converts into a fourth bedroom. Here you will find a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and outdoor kitchen with separate bathroom. If that is still not enough room, we will soon offer to rent an additional bedroom connected to the outdoor kitchen offering that additional space and privacy for the teenagers. For the kids there is a flatscreen TV with satellite in the living room and an additional TV/DVD player in the 4th bedroom. In the fall and winter warm those chilly nights and cold feet by the fireplace in the center of the living room.

DaCamp is the type of place that you have no need to ever leave. The peace and serenity will have you desiring to stay “another day”. However, should you choose to venture out, a wealth of attractions and things await your presence. Natchitoches, LA with all of its historic beauty is home to the multiple week, Christmas Lights show which will dazzle you and your families’ holiday outings. Northwestern State University is also located in Natchitoches, but don’t miss the historic town of Many and Fort Jesup on the way there. Venture South about 45 minutes and see Leesville and Fort Polk, the home of our brave and heroic soldiers. Hodges Gardens, for those with a liking to flowers and beautiful landscape is also minutes away. To the North, drive to Zwolle and attend the famous Tamales’ Festival in the fall. The kids can also enjoy swimming at the beaches at Cypress Bend Marina and at the Louisiana Visitors Center at the foot of Pendleton Bridge all within a short distance from DaCamp.

Just returned from our stay at Da Camp. Me, my wife and our 12 and 9 year old sons had a great time. We had some TV problems, but that was our fault by hitting the wrong button on the remote. The camp is in a very quiet, peaceful setting. The only problem we had with the "quiet" was the neighbor three camps down decided to "chainsaw" all the stumps out of the lake in front of his camp. He chainsawed all afternoon on Saturday. My wife wanted to do him bodily harm, but thankfully she refrained. Again, the chainsawing was a problem not caused by Da Camp. The fishing right in front of Da Camp is great. We caught bass, white perch and catfish without having to venture into the main part of the lake. The yard seems like its endless with many places to sit and relax, and my kids played football with plenty of room to spare. Hopefully, we will rebook Da Camp this spring. I highly recommend it.

The entire family enjoyed our stay at De Camp on Toledo Bend. There were eight in our group, including four children ages three to thirteen. The camp house and the property it sat on provided more than enough room for our group to be completely comfortable during our stay. The children especially enjoyed catching bream off of the pier. We used to visit Toledo Bend quite often back in the late 60’s and early 70’s and always enjoyed going there to get away, for the peace and quite that the area provides. Your place there exceeds any place that we had previously visited when it comes to this! We look forward to going back in the future and highly recommend De Camp to anyone that’s looking for some get away time.

This was a first for our family. We booked the House for a surprise vacation for my Mom for her 70th B-Day. We could not have had a more relaxing time. Everyone had a bed (one night we had 14 ppl) The outside kitchen was perfect for all of us to sit and have dinner as a family! The kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything you could possibly need ( we brought 2 coffee pots just in case...but there where 2-3 already there!) Never ran out of hot water for showers. Kids stayed on the dock from sunrise to sunset! Even took the paddle boat out for sunset (caution it does leak..not very bad..but it does). My Dad took naps in the swing under the front porch..he found a fan that blows right down on the swing. Having the boat dock there was great too. Even though it was really too hot for fishing they guys and girls went out every morning and evening. House stayed cool..in fact COLD! For a first family vacation with 3 familys...we could not have asked for a better place! Thank you!

Da Camp, Wow, did we have Da Fun. Great get-away on Teledo Bend. Lighted dock for fishing, lanch area for boat, and fish cleaning place. Air conditioning was great, kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms/ bathrooms were fine, and washer/dryer worked great. Slept good and the beer helped too. The privacy, parking area, and amount of water front was great. We were presently surprised. Had a blast. We loved the quiet peaceful weekend without the hussle and bussle, it was the cats meow.

The house smelled bad. The kitchen was terrible. The kitchen cabinets were full of stuff, no place to put supplies that you brought. The dishwasher didn't work. The so-called 4th bedroom didn't have any window coverings. We have stayed at Toledo Bend before and never had to haul the garbage off before, which was very aggravating. We would not recommend this place!

Owner response: An apology is in order for Alan. After some long term guests over the winter, the floor needed attention and the dishwasher was hard to operate. The repairs to these were delayed and didn't occur until the week after Alan left. A new floor is in as well as a new dishwasher. As far as the bad smell, its origin could not be determined since it was not present when the worker and owners made the repairs. Concerning the cabinets, the house is used by the owners and has some locked cabinets. This is the first complaint we had about not having enough room to store food. We will consider consolidating our stuff if this poses a problem. Concerning the "4th bedroom", we advertise only 3. We do have a sun room with a futon that can be used for extra guest. Finally, we ask our guests to haul their trash to a public dump site since we have had trouble with commercial garbage pickup service. However, that issue was also addressed when the owners in this subdivision pitched in to rent a private dumpster and placed as you drive in and within walking distance of the property. We take our guest's concerns seriously and try to address them promptly. Had we known that these issues bothered the reviewer beforehand, I am sure this less than desirable review would not have been necessary. DaCamp

we spent a 3 day weekend with our daughter and her family. it was so relaxing. the swing close to the lake was our favorite spot. enjoyed watching the birds, boat traffic and the water. the boys enjoyed the pier, fishing from the boat while still tied up, checking yo yos on the pier and having lots of space to just run around. this was our second visit to da camp and my son in law says it just has good karma. we went mid march and everything was just beautiful, dogwoods, azaleas, wisteria. wish it was closer so we could go more often.

My family and I enjoyed a weekend stay here. I wish that it was a week instead because we didn't want to leave. There are so many fun things to do and something for all ages. We enjoyed breakfast every morning around a large table that accommodated out large group. There is a great view of the lake from the dining area as well. We all enjoying fishing from the roomy pier. The kids really enjoyed taking a nature walk around the property and in the neighborhood. The beds were very comfy and there were plenty of them to choose from. I always bring my pillow from home to insure I have a nice comfy one, however, this was not needed here. We were able to enjoy a great movie via cable tv. Though we did not get to play, any we did notice that there were a few games provided for out enjoyment. I also like the swing overlooking the lake as well as the screened in back porch. Both nice places to read a book or for the kids to play. We paid an extra fee for our dog and it was so worth not leaving her at home. There were plenty of places to put her crate and lots of room on the property to walk her. I highly recommend this cabin for groups or families with kids of all ages or family reunions.

We rented this condo over Labor Day weekend. This condo is conveniently located, just a short walk to downtown, and to 2 playgrounds. It is well furnished, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped, and they have a gas grill on the porch. Reasonably priced. The owners seem very nice and were quick to respond to all of our inquieries. Perfect for our family with two young girls and grandma. We would definitely rent again!
