  Beautiful on the inside. Very clean and modern in all rooms. Plenty of room for a family. Very quiet surroundings. Kitchen is excellent. Plenty of living space. Beds very comfortable. I highly recommend Eagle Bend.

  The pictures do not do it justice! Our group usually does a local hotel stay for Superbowl weekend. One of our friends moved out to Ohio so this year we decided to meet in the middle, and we found this to be paradise, even in the cold. It is decorated beautifully, very clean, and has ample living space throughout the house. The bathrooms are spacious and beautiful. We very much expected to get out and see Hershey. We only left long enough to go grocery shopping and go to Chocolate World...it is a place you don't want to leave, and definitely a place we all hope to visit again!

  Went to the house with co-workers for the weekend and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Our work the past year has been very stressful and this location and house gave us the well needed rest and stress free environment that we all needed. Highly recommend this getaway place.

  This review is long overdue! My intention was to jump on here immediately and give a raving review. It has been 3 months since our stay at Eagle Bend Estate of Hershey and I am enjoying the precious family memories we have to cherish for a a lifetime. We have children varying from age 30 to 10 and everyone in our party was completely satisfied. This vacation site is perfect for the family that has varying interests. If you are a person that enjoys the amenities of luxurious surroundings with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a jacuzzi bathtub with a beautiful view while others in your family enjoy the secluded peacefulness of deer drinking from the river behind the house and canoeing all will be satisfied. It is hard to believe that you can be in such a peacful, quiet and secluded spot but still be connected with wireless internet and within 5 minutes from Hershey Park and the outlet mall! Would we do anything different? No. Would we do it again? Absolutely! Did we get our money's worth? Yes, Indeed! Don't hesitate and book this place today!

  Property was clean, comfortable & beautifully docorated with a fully equipted kitchen. The bathroom arrangement could be a little awkward though for multiple families. Eagle Bend Estate is the perfect place for those who enjoy nature & peace & quite. We would not hesitate to rent the property again or to recommend it to our friends. Property manager was very helpful in getting us settled in. The Hershey area is very beautiful. We enjoyed the car show, Chocolate World, the Amish country & the many antique shops & quaint towns. In Hershey we liked Piazza Sorrento for excellent Italian food.

  I recently stayed at Eagle Bend with my husband, my parents and my toddler son. The property is a lovely, newly renovated home - the photos on the website really don't do it justice. It's very comfortable and well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The property manager, Van, was sweet and helpful. The house is secluded and peaceful, but you can be at all the main points of interest in Hershey within minutes, so it gives you the best of both worlds. Three small considerations - First, the road/lane entrance to the property is steep with a sharp turn. Once you've mastered it a few times, it's not a big deal, but I think it's worth anticipating it! Second, for people with children, the beautiful and scenic location is literally right on the river, and there is no fencing etc so you'll need to be watchful if you have small children. Third, the cctv is in the living room above the TV. Although it is pointed at the doorway at all times, this may make some people uncomfortable if they're not used to monitoring from home security devices. None of the above points stop me from wholeheartedly recommending Eagle Bend Estate as your home-from-home vacation spot, we had a great time.

  Owner response: We have worked with our CCTV provider and the interior camera facing the front door has been moved to the outside of the house by the front door. We understand the concern people might have with a camera in the interior of the house by the front entrance and we don't want to make any of our guests uncomfortable during their stay.   We were very pleasantly surprised by this home. The pictures and description on the website don't do it justice. The house is really gorgeous - newly renovated and in immaculate condition. Everything we needed (appliances, sheets, blankets, etc) was new and provided for. And it sits on a large secluded lot so you will never see or hear any neighbors. It is quite large and can sleep 12 comfortably (more than the 8-10 listed in the ad as there are four double beds and 3 single beds and one pull out couch). We had a number of young kids and they loved the yard and the firepit. We also went tubing one day, which was just so relaxing (and incredibly safe for kids as the creek was fairly low and slow moving). All of this is just a 5 minute drive from Hershey Park and a 5 minute drive from shops and food stores so the convenience can't be beat. Even though the owners live far away, they have a local assistant who was incredibly sweet and helpful with everything we needed. I hope to make a visit to Eagle Bend a yearly family tradition.

EAGLE BEND ESTATE OF HERSHEY Eagle Bend Estate of Hershey is located at: (address and phone provided with important rental information after payment is received) 1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 P.M. EST AND CHECK OUT IS 10 A.M. EST. NO Early Check-ins. 2. This is a NON SMOKING home (to include the deck). There will be a cleaning fee assessed in the minimum amount of $750 for carpet, furniture, linen, bedding, and facility cleaning and deionization if readings on smoke detection meter indicate smoking has occurred in the residence. Renter/Guest agrees to permit VRBO to charge their credit card for payment of additional cleaning fees due to damage caused by smoking in the home or on the deck of the home. 3. Pets are strictly not permitted. 4. We will not rent to vacationing students or persons under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Contracting renter MUST be 25 years of age or older. 5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $300 is required. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (30) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met: a. No damage is done to home or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in refuse containers outside, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. d. All keys are left in the lock box and home is locked. e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. f. No linens are lost or damaged. g. NO Early check-in or late check out. h. No additional charges were incurred through cable television, telephone, and use of amenities not selected and paid for in the rental payment 6. PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival or at time of reservation if less than 60 days prior to check-in/arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. Please make payments either via VRBO Payment manager with PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The BALANCE OF RENT is due forty-five (45) days before your arrival date. 7. CANCELLATIONS – A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty except a $50 administrative fee and VRBO payment manager fees to cover costs of transactions. All PayPal cancellations are subject to a 5% Cancellation fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 8. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. 9. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests included in standard rate is limited to eight (8) persons. An additional charge of $25.00 per person per night for guests in addition to eight (8) will be assessed. No more than 10 persons may stay at the residence. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A TWO (2) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY; 10. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will be charged the two-night rate. 11. ADDITIONAL FEES – MANDATORY Linens/Towels $35 per stay Cleaning $85 Utilities* included (normal usage). There will be a charge for abusive use of utilities that are beyond normal (average) usage based upon utility averages and rates. *Utilities include normal heat, a/c, lights, water, sewer, and garbage usage OPTIONAL Gas Grill $ 8/day ($25 maximum per stay) Gas Fireplace $20/day ($85 maximum per stay) Carport $25 per stay Garage $15/day per stall Canoe $20/day ($60 maximum per stay) This property is equipped with a security and fire alarm system. Any misuse of the system which result in local fire or law enforcement to respond to the home will result in a minimum $200 fee charged to the renter to cover costs of responders (or actual cost of responder fees should they be more than $200). Should neighbors contact the local or state police for a disturbance issue involving the renter of Eagle Bend Estate, a minimum fee will be charged of $200 and the renter (and guests) may be asked to leave the premises. If renter or guests of renter are disturbing the peace and law enforcement is contacted, Renter and guests agree to evacuate the premises and forfeit payment of rent and deposit. NOTE: The nearest neighbor to Eagle Bend Estate is 600ft away. 12. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the home, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring your own beach towels for use outside of the rental. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the interior of the home. 13. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice. 14. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. 15. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 16. PARKING – Parking is limited to two (3) vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road or grass is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. 17. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY - No refunds will be given for loss of rental due to an Act of God involving storm (hurricane, tornado, flood, etc), or for any acts of renters/guests causing the property to be non-livable. Renters are provided the opportunity to purchase trip insurance through VRBO/HomeAway upon the purchase and payment for this rental. Renters will be required to EVACUATE the property in the following instances: a. The National Weather Service (NWS) prediction model predicts flood waters to rise above 7 feet at the Hershey gauge or the Township/NWS orders mandatory evacuation for the “Swatara Creek/South Hanover" area in the vicinity of Eagle Bend Estate. The day that the National Weather Service predicts a flood of 7ft or higher(according to the Swatara Creek at Hershey gauge) or orders a mandatory evacuation order in the " Swatara Creek/South Hanover" area: All guests of Eagle Bend Estate agree to evacuate premises within 1 hour upon order of property manager or property owner in the event of a flood warning or Flood Advisory for Swatara Creek (Hershey Area) issued by the National Weather Service or other evacuation notice issued by a public authority. Staff of Eagle Bend Estate will make every effort possible to help guests find other housing in the Hershey Area, but Eagle Bend will not be liable or responsible to secure and/or pay for any additional housing for guests that may need to evacuate Eagle Bend due to a natural occurrence or Act of God. 18. Utilities – Eagle Bend Estate strives to be energy conscious and environmentally friendly. Please keep garbage in designated containers, water use to what is needed, lights off when not necessary, and maintain a temperature in the home at or one that is not excessive (ie; 70 degrees in winter months, 72 degrees in summer months). This property is equipped with a septic system. Renter and guests agree not to dispose of anything down toilets except human waste and toilet tissue. Feminine hygiene products will cause the septic system to fail potentially backing up the sewage system. Repair and maintenance on the septic/sewage system due to misuse will be the financial responsibility of the renter. 19. Eagle Bend Estate of Hershey is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs to renter or guests while on the premises or in its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the renter or guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all renters/guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to visit the property. Severability: Any omission within any part of this agreement shall not cause other sections of this agreement to become invalid. Renters and Owners agree that any legal disputes arising from this agreement, rental of the property, and/or use of the property shall be handled through mediation first and arbitration as a final option only. All mediation or arbitration shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and any matter shall be heard and held in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Costs of mediation and/or arbitration shall be paid by the losing party or as agreed upon in mediation and/or arbitration. This document may be agreed to through use of “electronic signature”. By accepting and paying for a reservation, renters/guests agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.
