  My family and I stayed here for a week in September as a late summer get away. It was perfect. The house is a beautifully refurbished cottage and which has an interesting history and has amazing views of the nearby lake. It is in a great location, very near Waterville and all its local amenities. It is perfect for a small family or group of friends for a long weekend (or longer if you can!) of relaxation in fabulous surroundings; a perfect, quaint cottage with all modern comforts and extras in a beautiful part of the world. We will be back :)

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This house is lovely. The bedrooms are quite small but the living area is huge and fantastic for entertaining if coupled with the outside area. The kitchen was really well kitted out, we have a 1 year old and had everything we could have needed for her. The view of the lake is beautiful especially first thing in the morning with the sun on the terrace. It is walking distance to the town and has a playground near by. It does sleep five but I think the maximum number of adults you can have comfortably is three, so a family with two adults and three children would find this house perfectly suited to them.

It is ideal for a small family or for three adults and yes the bedrooms are in the small side but who wants to spend time in bedrooms with such fabulous views and sightseeing to be done, and yes it is very convenient and an ideal base to explore the southwest.

  My husband and I stayed at this charming cottage for 11 days and it more than exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the location on the Ring of Kerry so much that we stayed four more days than we originally intended. The living room has all glass french doors and windows that make you feel like you are in a sunroom and you will find it hard to leave the view which changes with the time of day and weather. If you do decide to go into town, it is an easy 5 to 10 minute walk with views of the sea. On a nice day you can take your pick of a sunset over the ocean or stay at the cottage and watch the colors change over the lake. We enjoyed a sunset at the Smugglers Inn Restaurant and we highly recommend their Seafood Platter for two! Don't even get me started on the view of the stars on a clear night... I cannot say enough nice things about the owners Kathleen and her husband who have done a beautiful job renovating this cute and cozy lake cottage Once I had arrived in Waterville I realized that I had left my purse 2 hours back in the town of Bantry. Kathleen's husband drove from Cork to Bantry (about an hour apart) to retrieve it and then they sent it with a friend who was visiting Waterville that weekend. I am confident they will go above and beyond to help anyone staying at their home. If you come to Waterville be sure to do the day trip to Skellig Michael if you have good weather, it was the highlight of our trip. You should also explore the inner roads of the ring which has fantastic scenery as well. We stumbled upon the Pancake House- Strawberry Fields which is located on the Regional road between Sneem and the Molly Gap and we highly recommend it!

  Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette petite maison au bout de la péninsule. La route pour y accéder est très belle et étonnante mais la maison est bien située pour diverses découvertes et pour profiter des belles plages irlandaises. Maison propre et agréable et une propriétaire très sympathique. Nous recommandons cette location qui est tout à fait abordable au niveau du prix.
