  My husband and I fell in love with Carlsbad about a year ago and then returned another five times since then. We wanted to show our kids what the big deal was and why we just can't get enough of it so we planned a family vacation with my two sons, their wives and my grandson. This house is EVERYTHING that is advertised and then some. We loved that it is near the village and yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to the beach that could easily be walked. All the toys and amenities were there and in excellent condition. Most importantly, the house is beautiful, clean and with all the updated conveniences! Thanks For the great stay... We hope to make it a tradition!

  We were very pleased with our recent stay. The home is beautiful. Updated/upgraded with granite counters, stainless steel appliances...etc. Very clean and comfortable. We loved that there were beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards for using at the beach. We enjoyed grilling and having dinner on the beautiful patio. Walking distance to lots of restaurants/stores/and dog walking trail. My husband and son enjoyed riding the bikes on the board walk. It was a little bit further from the beach entrance than we expected so we could not have done the walk carrying the umbrella, chairs, boards...etc, but we were ok with that because it's not on a busy street like the beach front rentals are with all the traffic and people everywhere. Still close enough to walk to the beach if you are just going sight seeing to the shops and the board walk but not for carrying all your stuff for a day at the beach. Driving to the beach entrance was super close (maybe 2 minutes) and even though we were there during the Memorial Day weekend, we always found a good parking space. All in all, we loved this rental property. It was better than expected and location was perfect. We would definitely recommend it and would love an opportunity to stay there again in the future.

  My husband and I and our dog just spent two weeks in Feb. in this lovely home and had a wonderful time. One of our best vacations ever. We could walk to several great restaurants, a grocery store, coffee shops, and the beach. There is a trail nearby to walk the dog. We have family in the area so did a fair amount of entertaining. Plenty of room for all. We did a lot of cooking and had just about everything we needed in the well appointed kitchen. Hoping to spend a month there next year!

  This property comes as advertised. It is two blocks from main street and all the amenities and only a short walk to the beach. The house is very clean and comfortable and is very well equipped. The bedrooms are very spacious. We would not hesitate to stay there again. The owners answered all our questions promptly.

  Our family travelled to San Diego the week after Christmas 2011. My husband and I, along with our 20 month old daughter, and our friend and her 11 year old twins stayed in the house together. There was more than enough space for all of us! The listing description doesn't tell you just how spacious and beautiful this house is. We LOVED it! It was more than we expected. Carlsbad is a great little town with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We had everything we needed to feel at home and to accomodate 3 children. The owners were very prompt in responding to questions and making sure our reservations were firm and that we had all of the relevant information to get to the house and in the house. We really enjoyed our visit to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo (you need more than 1 day to see it all!). We also went down to the beach several times and braved the cold December waters to boogie board! The weather was great the entire week! Our trip to DisneyLand was the most disappointing though....it was too crowded to see or do anything and we left after only 2 hours. Your money would be better spent elsewhere. All in all, it was a great vacation and we thank you so very much for sharing your home with us!!!
