This condo is great. Beautiful beachfront view (ate breakfast on the balcony every morning). Jan and Steve remodeled it a couple years ago (make sure to look at the before and after photo album in the condo). It's well furnished and tastefully decorated. I can't possibly say enough about the owners Jan and Steve. They were very prompt in all communication, and Mrs. Jan made sure that everything was seamless. I personally think it says a lot that she knew my name and I knew hers every time we spoke. Fort Morgan is beautiful. If you want a laid back vacation this is a great place to go. Plantation has a lot of beach to itself and Kiva Dunes Golf Course has the beach next to building 1 (where this condo is) so there's no problem in picking out a spot that's away from everybody. We're not into crowds or touristy stuff at all, so this was great for us. It takes probably 20 minutes to get to Gulf Shores by taking a right out of the Plantation driveway. When you're there all the local places (Lulu's, The Hangout, Sea-n-Suds, Neptune's, The Oyster House, etc.) are close. All the time we were there, we were at a table eating within 10 minutes. (Even at Lulu's!) If you take a left out of the complex you're 10 minutes from the ferry and Fort Morgan Historic Site. There's a public beach at Fort Morgan that's a great place to shore fish. We saw rays, reds, and flounder within 15 yards of shore. And dolphins every time we could see the ocean! This was a great vacation for the two of us. We will be coming back to this condo.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Gulf Shores Plantation. This lovely beachfront condo is the perfect location if you want to be steps away from the beach and the pools. My children, 2 and 4, had a blast in the huge pool made for kids as well as playing on the beach and splashing in the ocean. Jan, the owner, was more than helpful and such a pleasure to work with. She did her best to accomodate our every request and very was responsive to our needs. We will definitely return to Gulf Shores Plantation and be renting from Jan again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jan and Steve's condo. It was a perfect location, with a wonderful view of the Gulf and the accommodations were quite nice, which allowed us to have an absolutely wonderful and relaxing time! Jan and Steve were perfect hosts! The condo was a perfect couple's getaway!

What a trip! I planned my vacation to Gulf Shores very last minute this year and it turned out to be an amazing trip. I was able to enjoy the sun and beach with my 20 relatives who were already at the Plantation. My family has been vacationing in Gulf Shores for 25 years .... and counting. Through the years, we have spent most of our time at the Plantation - I believe I have stayed in every building, including many of the beach houses. With that said, so many of the condos are out of date. This condo was exactly like the pictures - absolutely beautiful!!! Everything is updated and the view was just perfect - I started my day with coffee on the balcony and spent most evenings sitting on the balcony enjoying a cocktail and the sounds of the ocean. Really, I couldn't have asked for more!! The owners provided everything I could have possibly needed and were great to work with. I look forward to renting from them again and returning to Gulf Shores for another memorable vacation.

2012 Spring break fun!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Jan and my experience in staying at this condo in Gulf Shores. Jan makes you feel like a part of her family and is very concerned about your overall experience throughout the entire process. I vacationed with my daughter's over Spring break and enjoyed every minute. The condo is beautifully decorated and very clean. I was amazed at the view from the balcony. The pictures online are beautiful but once you are there it is 10 times better. The pools were uncrowded and very clean. The beaches were easily accessible and also uncrowded. We were sad to learn that the nice lounge chairs/umbrellas that were located on the beach cost $25 per day per person so we had to lay in the sand but that wasn't a big deal...we were just disappointed. Everything you can possibly need is at the condo when it comes to cooking etc. We made all of our meals there and saved a fortune. My extended family is already excited about our next trip because they will definitely be joining us. This was a great vacation and well worth the 14 hour drive from MO. A huge thanks goes to Jan and giving us the opportunity to make precious memories in such a beautiful location.

Perfect Condo, Pefect Spot!

We just had the wonderful pleasure of staying in this adorable condo, it was me, my husband, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Ms. Jan is an absolute pleasure to do business with, I feel as if I have made a new friend. She has thought of everything to help make a pleasurable vacation for your family! The view from the balcony is gorgeous!! My little boy who is three LOVED his bed (the bunk bed in the hall), he had no problem sleeping there all night each night, just as if he was home. The kitchen is fully equipped for your every need, plus the little baskets for storage were just perfect (so creative). We also got to see lots of dolphins several times each day. The Gulf could not have cooperated more while we were there...clear water, sea life to watch, and not a cloud to be seen -- all enjoyed while staying in a condo that is tastefully decorated and a step or two up from the typical rental unit. The views from the condo are as shown here, but what is not so obvious is that this unit is almost ideally located for everything on the site...you can see a couple of the pools, but are far enough away so that noise is not a problem; you are close to the boardwalk to the beach, the outdoor grills, the laundry room, and the indoor pool..truly a great location!

My husband and I, with our kids 8 and 5, just spent a wonderful week in this condo. Jan and Steve have done a fabulous job updating this unit and have really thought of everything to make it feel cozy and functional. The view is fantastic and the close proximity to the beach is exactly what we were looking for. No roads to cross or other buildings around, it was great! Jan was an absolute delight to talk with and do business with.

Great Views, plenty of room for family of 4. Very clean and quite. Just a note make sure to bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap, and garbage bags you can purchase it there but it is very costly.

We love this condo. We have stayed in it for several years. The view alone is wonderful. What you see in the pictures are exactly what you will get when you get there. Beautifully decorated. If you want a laid back, quiet vacation with uncrowded beaches, I highly recommend this rental. The condo is nicely appointed, neat, and had a beautiful beach front view. Your place is beautiful. Our first family vacation could not have been better. I've told everyone how wonderful it is here. The kids have had a blast. Immaculate and beautifully decorated! Much care given to every detail here. The view from the balcony was directly facing the Gulf, and that was a huge plus since not all of the condos in this building have such fabulous views. Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended!

The Plantation is a great place to stay. We enjoyed the clean rooms and the beach. The location near the beach club and Kiva Dunes are great! The food is excellent at Kiva Dunes and in town. Don't forget to check out the nature walk uptown. While you are on the beach stay on the lookout for dolphins!
