Green sea turtles love this stretch of beach and lay their eggs on the beaches just north of the complex. Also about a mile away is Kealia National Wildlife Preserve with a boardwalk to observe tropical birds environment... without harming their nesting areas. In the winter months, Humpback whales have chosen the warm waters of Maui to have their babies. Between December and early April, you will see mother whales teaching their babies how to breach, bringing most of their bodies out of the water and landing with a spectacular splash.

We loved our stay in Sugar beach, the condo was perfect: clean and comfortable. We loved the pool and the grounds were pretty and well cared for.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

First off before actually getting to Maui, the owner was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. The condo is impeccable - it is clean, the bed and sofa bed were comfy, there are clean sheets, towels and pretty much anything you would need for a beach a trip. All that we needed to do was make a quick trip to the grocery store to stock up (a short drive down the road). Speaking of short drives, this area was an extremely convenient location to all the activities all around the island (Lahaina, Makena etc...). The grounds within the condo area was very well maintained. The photos provided here are accurate. Loved how close it was to the ocean, could see and hear the waves while sitting out on the lanai. The length of the beach made for wonderful morning and sunset walks. While out Grilling, found that everyone here is quite friendly. Got a lot of advice on places to go and see around Maui while standing around the grills. All the grills were well kept and gassed up. Overall a great trip and would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Maui.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

This condo was exactly what we were expecting! The picture doesn't do it justice - the view is better and bluer! The unit was clean, had everything you want - including lots of condiments, coffee filters, all appliances you could want! Comfortable (firm) king bed. The lanai was perfect for that morning coffee in the sun, and welcome shade in the afternoon, after being in the sun all day at the pool or beach. The pool is lovely, not huge, but big enough. Always a deck chair to be had either by the pool or on the grassy area. The beach is right beyond the pool area, and the beach is so long and perfect for walking. Nothing is crowded at that end of the "strip" and it was very quiet and relaxing! I wouldn't suggest the pool area for kids as there are restrictions about toys and jumping etc. All in all, we loved this resort, the unit and our whole Maui experience.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers.

I cannot recommend this beautiful condo enough. It is awesome! It is beautifully decorated and yet so comfortable it feels like home. Everything is fresh and clean. It has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation. The views from the Lanai are fabulous. The beachfront is wonderful, a long stretch of white sandy beach make for great walks. The ocean in front is very calm and inviting, I enjoyed the warm temperatures. The grounds are beautifully maintained and I enjoyed the pool and availability to barbecue. The location of the condo is great as it is an easy drive to wonderful shopping and dining. Parking and access to the condo is very convenient. This is the place for a great honeymoon, anniversary, small family vacation, or girls just want to have fun time. It was very quiet and the people who stayed there were very considerate and friendly. I look forward to my next vacation to Maui at this condo.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We had an awesome stay in this beautiful Condo. Very Comfortable, Fabulous View. Enjoyed morning and evening walks on the beach. Appreciated all the comforts of home, Everything you need available in the Kitchen for cooking meals. Very nice Bed with comfortable bedding. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and meeting friendly folks from all over the world. The pool was refreshing and kept emmaculate along with the grounds. It was quiet and relaxing for our much needed time out. We highly reccommend your Condo and hope to return again as soon as possible. Thank you and Aloha!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a very good stay in this condo. It actually felt more spacious than the listing photos could reveal. The unit was affordable, clean, well equipped in the kitchen, and by the end of our stay it felt like home. Breakfast on the lanai with the view of the ocean was wonderful, and the grounds around the condo are very well maintained. We did not use them, but there are several grills by the pool area for guests to use. People were out cooking every night! It is literally steps to a long stretch of beach where families were swimming, and kayakers and paddle boarders were out on the water. Parking is convenient and free (big plus!). Free WiFi in-unit was also great! The listing agent was very helpful and answered our inquiries promptly. Overall, very good experience. Would recommend it to a couple looking for a low-key, relaxed stay on Maui.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

This unit is awesome! It is nicely decorated, well stocked, cleanly, and comfortable. The lanai was perfect for a meal, just relaxing, and the beautiful views of oceans and mountains. When I think of Maui it is from that lanai! The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and centrally located. We enjoyed long walks on the beach (mere steps away), lounging at the pool, relaxing in the spa, and meeting nice people at the grills. We have stayed at Sugar Beach before and enjoyed it, but this unit tops the cake. It made this last vacation the best! Thank You!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
