My wife and I, and our three daughters, stayed in the Robertson House during a recent visit to Burnsville NC. What a gem! A block away from the town square, you can easily walk to local restaurants. House was built in the 1890s, but has been recently renovated with modern features where important: kitchen, HVAC, internet, etc.. Highly recommend!

Owner response: We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our house. We hope to see you again soon.

We had a very relaxing stay at the Robertson House. We arrived to an impeccably clean and impressive home. It is a historic home that has been completely renovated with modern conveniences. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and inviting. The owners were very easy to work with and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is just steps away from downtown Burnsville. We enjoyed the snow while we were there and returning back to a warm and cozy house! We highly recommend a visit to the Robertson house. You will not be disappointed. We plan to be back in the Summer! Thanks again Susan and Sylvia for an awesome weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at the Robertson House very much. We found the home very clean and welcoming. The renovations to the house have been done in good taste. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch, the private location, yet nearby downtown Burnsville where we enjoyed walks and a couple of great meals at nearby restaurants. We also appreciate how helpful the owner was with answers to our questions.

The house was wonderful in every way: Lots of unique character with old wooden frames and floors, antique furniture and -best of all- a great porch with a swing (you really should add a picture of it to the listing photos) and all the modern amenities (new bathrooms and a perfect kitchen) to make the stay comfortable. Susan - thanks a lot for the list with hiking trails (we did two and they were beautiful) and for the idea of going to the Altapass Orchard for apple picking and live music. We had the greatest Sunday afternoon at the orchard. Burnsville is a cute little town with nice restaurants and even a great farmer's market - so I would recommend a stay at the house to everybody. Thank you, Susan, for this perfect weekend. We definetly will be back!

My husband and I stayed in this house as part of a weekend getaway. We adored that the house maintained so much of its historic charm while still being equip with modern appliances. We got the best of both worlds! The pristine claw foot tub was especially nice in the master bath. The house was very clean and in an idyllic location to explore downtown Burnsville. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are eager to go back soon! It's a huge house with a great deck and dinning room for entertaining. Next time we'll get to bring other people along :)

Three sibs and their spouses enjoyed this house and the accomodations. The location in town is both convenient and also gives a sense of seclusion nestled into a parcel adjacent to the Rush Wray House musum. Main Street is literally steps away with the town square a two minute walk. The bedding is adequate though one twin bed mattress had lost some of it's support. Kitchen untensils were adequate though a serious cook will want to bring their own utensils and implements. On two occasions we entertained other family members in town for our reunion. The outside patio set and dining room provided plenty of seating. The same set and the front porch swing were tailor made for evenings spent in conversation. The satellite entertainment system and wireless gave us access to the outside world when we wanted it. The washer and dryer were sufficent and welcome. Overall, it was evident that the owners were interested in providing enough amenities to make a stay here pleasantly comfortable and memorable.

Owner response: Thank you for your review! We looked into the twin bed issue and found a slat had slipped out of place and has been repaired. Thank you for drawing our attention to it. We hope you will consider us again for your next stay in Burnsville.

We loved staying at the Robertson house. We were impressed with how clean and welcoming the home was. The fresh flowers were a wonderful touch. There was plenty of space for our group of 6 to spread out. The front porch and yard were put to good use by all of us as the children played and we enjoyed the mountain views. We hope to visit again soon.
