About the property:
My husband and I travel considerably, and don't use this home as often as we would like. Please contact us for availability as the calendar may not be accurate.
Seven-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4100 sq ft home in the historic Paradise Palms neighborhood of Las Vegas where the movie Casino was filmed and home to many of the Rat Pack era celebrities - then as well as today.
Convenience and comfort are the order of the day. We have primarily king and queen size beds in this seven-bedroom home (with some flexibility to reconfigure the kings for two twins or queens depending upon your needs).
The house is huge and quiet - perfect for a company retreat or for having the whole company stay together at a convention without breaking the bank. The company president/CEO and significant other can take the master suite (with its large jacuzzi tub and walk-in closet, plus sliding glass door out to the sparkling pool) and let the staff take the other five large rooms (including a second master suite). Free WI-fi and a large living room for seminars, etc., as well as a huge patio and back yard.
The spacious patio and BBQ is great for entertaining and the pool is great fun during the late spring, summer and early fall months. In winter, there is a great view of the Strip fireworks on New Year's Eve.
This is a wonderful neighborhood, designed by famed architect William Krisel (inventor of the butterfly roof and designer of most of old Palm Springs). Our entire street looks likes something out of a 1960s movie with all of its classic architecture and 50-year-old trees. This is the historic neighborhood where they filmed the movie 'Casino' (the famous plane crash scene in the movie took place right in back of our yard) - and where many celebrities of that era still live (including one three doors down from us).
Finally, the convenience for a company in town for a convention can't be beat. We have enough parking for you to park all of your employees free and then it's a five-minute drive to the Convention Center.
While this home is really set up for the needs of conference-goers, it's also great for a family reunion (we've held many of them here), small events or just a relaxing week in one of the most convenient neighborhoods in all of Las Vegas.
While this home is a good size you'll need to consider things like how many guys and gals are sharing the same bedrooms/ bathrooms.

This house was the perfect fit for our 6-man golf retreat. Everyone had their own nice room and the location was central to all of the courses we played as well as easy access to the strip. It turned out the weather was a little chilly but the hot tub worked great!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We chose to stay at a home instead of a hotel during a convention. This was the first time we had done this as a company, although I've rented properties several times for family events. This home worked out really well for several reasons. It's really close to the convention center, and for that matter it's close to the rest of the Strip as well. The bedroom count allowed us each to have our own bedrooms we all appreciated our own privacy after a long day on the show floor. It was great to be able to eat and enjoy the peace of a simple cup of coffee and breakfast without the cost or hassle of being in a hotel. The host provided robes for us which was greatly appreciated, and speak of which the hot tub was (again) much appreciated as well. We had great WiFi which our host increased the speed on so that uploading large files was no problem. And we were even able to entertain a few of our customers with a BBQ at the end of the show. We all look forward to coming back next year - no more hotels for us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: That's good to hear. Thank you and see you next year.

Our company put us into this home while we were at MGIC, and it worked out just great. Thanks to the owner everything was all set up for us, and it worked out so much better than a hotel. in The home is a short distance to the convention center, and it was so nice not to have to deal with room service every time we wanted to eat/ drink etc. In fact with the BBQ we actually ate at home one night. Hopefully we’ll be back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We are new to using vacation rentals and this was our first time. Maxine made it very easy for us to understand the process. Upon entering the home we quickly realized we’d made the right decision. The home was very family friendly and located on a quiet street. Easy street parking was plentiful. Maxine and staff were available to help answer questions on this large home. The view of the golf course is relaxing. We really enjoyed ourselves here and look forward to making this an annual experience. We highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments - we appreciate them all.

My family rented this home for our summer retreat and I have to say it worked out just great. Everyone was happy to have their own bedrooms, and since we’re a tall family we were very happy to have so many king beds available. We’ve rented other homes here, and I have to say size matters. This home was plenty big enough for our party of 14. The view over the golf course was exceptional and even the members of the family who normally don’t like to come to Vegas were impressed with the location. Everyone was able to enjoy the week in their own way, and we were all able to connect over meal times. Thanks to Maxine’s team, the home was completely ready for us despite an earlier party moving out the day we arrived. Some of our group arrived early and hung out on the patio and went swimming while the crew cleaned the home- a very nice surprise given the temperature. We’ll be back next year!Owner response: Thank you for your review. We appreciate them all.

Our family had a reunion at this property for 10 people in Aug 2012. Prior to arriving I asked the owners if there was a functional gas barbeque for us to use during the stay. We were told there were 2 gas grills and 1 was almost new. Upon arrival we were very disappointed with the house and rundown neighborhood. The pictures of the home on the VRBO website do not reflect how the condition of the home today. Over the seven days we collected the following list of issues: 1) Crickets and Mosquitos inside the house, mostly in the bedrooms and bathrooms 2) Barbeque #1 - Filthy and would catch fire inside when trying to use it. Front left door not connected, just set in the space (clearly not a new barbeque as stated). 3) Barbeque #2 - No propane tank, placed by the garage, dirty and inoperable. 4) Bar Ice Maker did not work and smelled like mildew. 5) Fans on back deck have no blades and could not be used even though it was 110 degrees 6) Only two light bulbs work on the back deck out of 8. 7) Misting sprayers were disconnected and clogged. Had to be individually cleaned out to use. 8) Sliding glass doors from the living room and master bedroom to the pool had handles removed and were permanently sealed. 9) Back gate latch broken and had to be wired shut. 10) Pool deck needs to be pressure washed; all drains around pool were clogged and growing mildew. 11) Lower deck area with fire pit unusable - Upholstery on chairs torn apart and filthy 12) Preventative Outdoor bug spraying has not been done so bugs are everywhere all the time. 13) Neighbor’s dogs run loose. We were confronted several times in the yard of the rental home by a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler. *We took pictures of the issues for our files. Positive points of the property: 1) The home is VERY centrally located with easy access to the strip. 2) Pool was perfect temperature and the pool guy came half way through to clean it during our visit. 3) Layout of home was very functional and provided everyone their own private space. Note: We did not contact the owners during our stay as we decided as a group that it would be too expensive to relocate 10 people for 7 days and we know that renting through VRBO can be a hit and miss situation. This for us was a clear miss. Bottom line: Until the home owners invest some time and money in this property they should update their description to be more factual about the state of the home.Owner response: I’m very sorry to hear that you had problems with the home. Unfortunately vacationing families can be very hard on a property. We are constantly checking various items in the home to make sure they are functional. Often when something breaks, guests are concerned about reporting the problem for fear of being held responsible. This is why we insist on having damage insurance. The insurance allows us to replace various items without holding the guest financially responsible. Had you contacted me, we could have taken some action to make your stay more pleasurable. I could have replaced the BBQ, called the exterminator back out, replaced light bulbs, and come over to show you how to operate the sliding glass doors. We take all comments very seriously and work very hard to keep the property in good condition. Fortunately for the majority of our guests the home is a Hit.

We had a great stay at this house for our annual friends get together. The owner was easily accessible, flexible, and professional. The home is exactly where indicated, a roughly $20 cab ride from the airport, and very near the Strip but quiet and easy to get to. The house itself is laid out nicely with lots of quiet, private spaces, a nice outdoor area, and extremely well-functioning AC. The property was thoroughly clean and in good repair. The provided internet access is slow (it appears to be a 1.5 Mbps connection) but adequate and the home's router handled our small group reasonably well. Some of the things we noticed from the photographs were that a large flat-screen TV is pictured in one of the photos but the room actually has an older CRT model. Also, the hot tub looks like a built-in model from the photos but isn't, it is a (very intimate) inflatable tub without seats under the water - the pictured seating around the outside rim is all. Inside the tub could only hold about 3 people comfortably. The pool stays a pleasant temperature, so we didn't particularly need to use the hot tub. None of these things are dealbreakers or significantly detract from the great value of the property, but are just things we noticed. There's lots of parking (the home is at the end of a cul-de-sac and has a large driveway as well) and a view of the Stratosphere from the rear patio. The home also has a washer/dryer and a fridge with icemaker. There's also a kitchen stocked with any appliance you could think of. Overall, we very much enjoyed the home. I've been to Vegas several times in the past few years, and this is one of the better homes we've stayed in. I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a place to come retreat from the bustle of Vegas.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

During the blazing summer month of July, my family chose this outstanding rental home for our family reunion. The home had everything we needed during our week stay. The kids played in the pool extensively and the adults gathered around the back patio. The convenience of where the house is located was exceptional, only 6 miles from the strip and 10 minutes from the airport. We found out quickly that parking on the strip is free, so this was an added bonus. The house was clean, well taken care of and the pool was wonderful. We found crazy odds and ends throughout the house, such as: catering pans, inflatable pool items, cards, and all sorts of games. My elderly grandmother was even able to access the house and stay in the master bedroom since her mobility is restricted. What a great time we had a the house, and we are thankful to have such a wonderful place to gather!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you. My staff and I greatly appreciate your comments.

Owner info
About the owner: We have lived in this home from 2006-2011 and love it! The home great for convention-goers, re-unions, wedding receptions and vacationers alike.
Why the Owner Chose Other Las Vegas Properties:
For family reunions this home offers enough bedrooms and living space for everyone to spread out. The pool is fully gated which is great for small kids. There are 5 bedrooms with king beds, 1 bedroom with a Queen, and 1 bedroom with 2 ex-long Full beds. There's also a den with 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4).
For convention goers, having 7 bedrooms is great as everyone gets their own bedroom. The property is very conveniently located near the convention center. Additionally 4 of the King Beds can be split into ex-long twin beds for a nominal cost. After a hard day standing on the show floor, the heated Jacuzzi is a relaxing way to wind down.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
First of all, this is a wonderful neighborhood, designed by famed architect William Krisel (inventor of the butterfly roof and designer of most of old Palm Springs). Our entire street looks likes something out of a 1960s movie with all of its classic architecture and 50-year-old trees. This is the historic neighborhood where they filmed the movie 'Casino' (the famous plane crash scene in the movie took place right in back of our yard).
In the 60's Paradise Palms was the place to live. Celebrates and mobsters alike owned properties here. I've just recently seen a great list with all the addresses listed, which I'll put together in the near future. Today the mid-century modernist architecture has seen a definite uptick in interest, and it's rare for any property to remain on the market for long. Many speculators are doing major remodels to return the homes to their glory.
