Welcome to our home in Mainsail, the perfect getaway! No matter the season, you don't need a reason to come enjoy the beach life in Destin. Our beautiful home is fully appointed so all you need to bring is you!
There are no worries when you're our guest- you'll feel right at home in this 3 bedroom/2.5 bath house. The King size master on main has French doors that lead out to the patio, plus a spa bathroom with double sinks and a Jacuzzi tub. Go upstairs to the Queen bedroom with its own private deck, the perfect place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine in hand. The full bath, (already stocked with linens!), is shared by the third bedroom which has 2 twin beds.
The kitchen has all the comforts of home; utensils, flatware, coffee maker, toaster and more. Or, you can grill poolside just steps from the back patio. Enjoy your coffee on the patio, or we have seating for 4 at the breakfast counter and seating for 6 in the dining room. The oversized living room has a large flat screen TV and DVD player, plus movies, books and games to enjoy during your stay. And if you want your clothes clean before you head home, there’s also a full sized washer/dryer.
One of the best things about our house is the convenience- the beach is a short walk away and there are no roads to cross. There are also 2 pools (plus a hot tub and children's pool), a gym, tennis and shuffleboard courts on the property and you can easily walk to a variety of restaurants, surf shops, Winn Dixie and the famous Silver Sands Outlets (which are right across the street).
Mainsail is a private, gated community that sits directly on the beach. Why rent in a high rise when you can park at your own (covered!) front door, never wait for an elevator and have peace and quiet with no one above, below or beside you? Check the calendar and plan your stay today!

This was our favorite family vacation and our first time to Destin. The condo was beautiful, clean, updated, lots of room and the perfect amount of space for our family of 5. The condo is close to shopping and restaurants which are within walking distance. The beach is spectacular and the sands are like powder. The people were very friendly and there was plenty of room on the beach. The condo provides beach chairs, sand toys and towels! There is a heated pool steps from the condo which the kids swam in everyday and the beach is a short walk down a bath which takes you to another great pool, the fitness room, tennis and shuffle board. The community is very quiet at night and in the morning. Great for peaceful nights at the beach and early morning walks. Our kids are ages 12, 10 and 8! They had a blast and we will definitely stay again. Melissa was great to work with and was readily available to answer any questions! Thank you, thank you for an amazing stay and for opening your condo to us!! We are forever grateful for the wonderful memories!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This cottage is very updated and very well taken care of. We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this one had the best beds---by far. They were obviously brand new and well made. The microwave was also new, which means from one to six minutes, all you have to do is press the number once. If you microwave a lot, you notice how convenient this is. The refrigerator can be disappointing in a vacation rental, but this was a new side-by-side with a regular and crushed ice dispenser. The furniture was also new and the cushions were very comfortable. There is a whirlpool tub, just remember to flip the light switch so it will work. Mainsail is convenient to everything---grocery store, post office, shopping, and restaurants. The heated (and it is heated well) pool is two doors down from the cottage. Very few people were there during November-January. And they have guards at the gate and also on patrol---that sort of security is rare in the area.Did you find this review helpful? We recently returned from a week in this super cute house. All furniture is new and clean. King bed in the master is extremely comfortable. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We also loved being within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Mainsail's beachfront area is extremely large, and it was great for our young children. We loved having the heated pool within steps from the back door. The owner was delightful to work with as well.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I spent a beautiful week here; everything is right at your fingertips ! Shopping, restaurants, etc. The heated pool is just steps away from the back door of the house and the beach is close by. The bed was really comfortable, as was all the furnishings and I didn't need a thing but my personal toiletries. All of the linens, etc. seemed to be brand new and really really clean. The washer and dryer were a great convenience...no dirty clothes to drag home! Also, the house was spotless!! I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful, well cared for home. Just pack a bathing suit, sunscreen and enjoy !!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

About the owner: Welcome to our page! A little about us... We are a family of five, plus one spoiled rotten four legged child. The beach has always been our vacation of choice, whether stateside, in South America or the Caribbean. Living in land locked Atlanta was starting to get to us, so we decided it was time for a retreat by the beach. What better place than the Gulf? You don't get that kind of soft sand and blue seas very often, not within driving distance anyway!
Why the Owner Chose Mainsail:
We purchased this wonderful beach house because we love the feel of the sugar white sand beach between our toes! We chose Mainsail because there are no roads to cross to get to the beach, the property has great amenities and the location can't be beat. One of us is a golfer and one is a shopper (guess who is who)- you can't get much closer to Silver Sands unless you're living in the parking lot. And the variety of beautiful golf courses keeps my husband very happy. We also love the security of a gated community- it is safer for everyone and makes us a lot more comfortable with letting our kids go out to play.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It's great to be able to get your toes in the sand with the quick walk- just a few minutes! Plus, the beach in front of Mainsail is not crowded like some other spots in Destin so we can enjoy listening to the surf, not to a bunch of partying college kids. As the weather cools, we enjoy the heated pool that is just steps from our patio as well as the hot tub at the main pool. No matter what time of year, this is a perfect relaxing getaway!
