This private, quiet vacation home and casita reside in the desirable gated community of Los Lagos, Indian Wells. This gorgeous community of 90 mission contemporary style homes offers lush landscaping, ponds, pathways & waterways leading to 4 pools, 4 spas, & 4 tennis courts.
The home & casita total almost 2400 square feet with a large, open floor plan and vaulted, beamed ceilings. ALL FURNISHINGS ARE NEW!!! The Living Room has a flat screen TV, stereo with CD player, DVD/blu-ray player, Bose speakers and IPOD attachment, as well as an oversize gas fireplace.
The spacious Master bedroom has a King bed, ensuite bath with dual sinks, large soaker tub and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom/Den has a Queen sleeper sofa, closet & ensuite 3 piece bath. The casita (guest house) has a Queen bed, closet and 3 piece bath.
The large, sunny kitchen overlooks the wraparound patio boasting citrus trees, (lime, lemon, orange & grapefruit) for fresh juice each morning. There is a separate breakfast nook and dining room which accommodates 6.
The private bougainvillea lined courtyard has an inground jacuzzi spa, perfect for enjoying late night desert star gazing and a glass of wine. There are 3 separate seating areas on the wraparound patio so you can always find some sun or shade, as desired, during your stay.
There are 2 outstanding public 18 hole golf courses available at the IW Club just 5 minutes away, plus numerous other golf courses nearby. The famed, 'El Paseo' shopping district known for it's great restaurants, boutiques shops and art galleries is also just 5 minutes away.

All the keys and codes worked perfectly. We entered the gates and the home with no problem. The owner was extremely helpful and there were no issues. The complex was built in the 80's and is well maintained and quiet. Neighbours are friendly. The home and casita were clean. The spa was not heated and we weren't able to get it going, but the owner had left contact numbers and the maintenance people were out quickly to resolve the issue. The casita was nice and clean. Indian Wells is an ideal location with many amenities nearby. We particularly enjoyed our daily runs on the wide sidewalks along 111 and through the Indian Wells neighbourhoods. I would definitely recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Terrific location for exploring the Coachella Valley--closer to El Paseo and the Living Desert Museum than my grocery store is at home, quite near Hwy 111, the chain connecting all the pearls from Palm Springs to La Quinta. Getting around was easy: I'd never been to the area, but I couldn't have chosen a better location. Every day we headed out in a different direction and enjoyed outdoor activities, from touristy gems like Shields Date Garden and the Indian Canyons (be sure to sign up for a ranger-led walk) to lesser-known delights like hikes around the Coachella Valley Nature Preserve and higher-elevation ones beginning on Hwy 74, Anza-Borrego State Park, DeMuth Park, architectural discoveries in Palm Springs, etc. and etc. This is California, mind you, so a car is essential; indeed, it's a bit difficult to walk anywhere because there are busy streets and very few sidewalks. The house is spacious, airy, and comfortable, and the neighborhood, friendly, pretty, quiet, and safe. Other pet owners in Los Lagos immediately welcomed me and my dogs, just as the owner promised, and they gave me tips about other places to walk on- and off-leash. The yard was private and secure, so I could leave my animals for outings that could not include them (e.g., the Indian Canyons). The yard--chiefly patio on three sides of the house--was well furnished for outdoor life, including barbecue, and abundance of citrus was truly wonderful! And did I mention that the sun rose every day for a month? What a terrific escape from the heavy cloud cover and damp of the Pacific Northwest! No boots and goretex necessary! Blue skies and sunshine are addictive, and dry redefines winter. Our month flew by. There was more to do than we had imagined. Next time we'll invite friends to share the experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway.
