Andrew’s River Haven is our newest addition with all the amenities that a rental should have to make it the best vacation your family has ever enjoyed. Not only is the cabin beautiful, but it has been decorated with the best furniture and accessories that can be found. With over 200 feet of river frontage, it has a beautiful view of both the river meandering down the valley and also a mountain view of pastures and mountain peaks in the distance. It is rare to have both river frontage and a view, but this house has both. You can fish, tube, canoe, splash, and in some areas swim the New River. You will love this.
The house is also located on the historic Railroad Grade Road, known for its flat roads following the river bed where you can bike or walk for over 10 miles and enjoy incredible views and peace- winter or summer. You can ride to Todd and have lunch or stop at the corner store for a picnic and take it with you, visiting the numerous beautiful spots along the river. This is a rare and unique area that offers little development while only 10 minutes to Boone or the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 minutes to the ski slopes or Blowing Rock and still a hop, skip and a jump to scenic routes to all the tourist attractions - we even provide an extensive list of favorites that need to be visited while in this area.
First let’s talk about the amenities. The house is in the perfect location for just playing around in the shallow river, bikes for riding along the river, and a spacious fenced yard for children or pets and parents’ peace of mind. Nearby is a large stone fire pit for nighttime fun while watching a large night sky, roasting hot dogs, making s’mores, or cuddling up in the night chilled air.
The exterior has a swing and rocking chairs on the covered deck and a large outside dining table for looking at the view and enjoying a family dinner. Want more peace? Go to the front covered porch with its own rockers and view.
The interior with its hardwood floors and paneling is beautifully decorated with all the best furniture from the NC furniture manufacturers, complemented by lovely linens, pillow top mattresses, goose down quilts, local artist’s paintings of mountain scenes, and the whole mountain atmosphere. With 3 bedrooms and a loft, the bedrooms have 2 kings and one queen, while the loft has a queen bed and 1 single for waking up looking out over the river. The downstairs playroom is complete with a bumper pool table, air hockey, professional foosball table and ping pong table. If that is not enough for your children to do, there is also a GameCube with 2 controllers.
In the winter, the stone gas fireplace with beautiful wood mantel allows you to cuddle up and watch TV, the fire, or possibly the snow falling. Even if you are inside, you can still see the river and go fishing if you are brave enough. While only 8 miles to Boone, you are close to all the tourist attractions and ski slopes.

This house is handled by a licensed NC Realtor property manager so you can be assured of legitimate rentals with recourse for any problems. Our prices are the same as if we rented it ourselves but you can be assured that no scam can occur and that your vacation rental money is safe and guaranteed.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with Cruizin' River Dreams right next door, or nearby River Mountain Cabin less than one mile away.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

Why the Owner Chose Boone
I always wanted a river house and I always wanted a great view. This house had both which is really remarkable. With an acre of land and river frontage and a nice log cabin, we feel as if this is our perfect house.

I just wanted to let you know that my entire family really enjoyed our stay (9/9 - 9/13) at Andrews River Haven cabin. It was great! This family trip, with my daughters, son-in-law, & grandkids was my dream! My grandchildren were able to run & play in the fenced area without us worrying about them! There was plenty of room & very comfy! We spent many hours sitting & talking & remembering out by the firepit! Your staff was very helpful & eager to make things right when I called them upon our arrival about the grill burner not working & the full outside trashcan. I have recommended your services & this cabin to my other family & friends. I look forward to planning next years vacation. Again, thank you for your help & assistance with this wonderful vacation!

"Amazing, glorious and fun" That is the direct quote from my 13 year old. Our son goes to App State and we wanted a place we could get away that was not a hotel so we could give the boy some good home cookin. It was perfect!!! We have rented several cabins with you all and this was one of the best-the game room kept everyone happy, much fun with talks around the fire pit, playing in the backyard in the snow was amazing. The beds were big and comfortable, warn and snuggly. Even the small details were taken care of including toys for the hot tub. We plan to come back when we can play in the river. Thanks for a fabulous family weekend!!!!

I think the negative aspects of this comment are unfair. These renters came in on Oct 1st. The temperature was between 65 and 71 degrees. We do not promise a fireplace until Oct 15th when the fall season starts. Secondly, this renter never called the property managers to say the TV was not working and the housekeepers said it was working when they cleaned. All renters are told that the gameroom is in the basement which has painted walls and nice rugs and furniture. We worked so hard to make this house as nice as possible and spent so much extra money so that it is not like a typical rental. It has top of the line furniture, linens, draperies, and beautiful landscaping. I appreciate the positive comments but just feel like this is unfair. Thanks, the Owners.

We absolutely loved this charming home. We had so much fun and everything was very well thought out for the convenience of the guests. There were large inner-tubes there and we went up the lane to the bridge and floated down for about an hour. Had to do it three times before the kids were satisfied. There was fishing equipment there and although we did not know how, nor did we catch anything, it was a lovely experience. The best was the firepit at evening. We could not beleive the night stars!!! Unbelievable and also the fireflies are something we do see in the UK. My children were fascinated. Thanks so much for sharing your home and when we come back to your country, we definately want to stay here again.
