This Big Bear Cabin is a 1,000-square-foot cabin on a 5,000-square-foot, fenced lot.
Sleeps 1-8 people comfortably on all new mattresses.

Located in Sugarloaf, near the forest, near Sugarloaf Park, and five miles east of Big Bear Lake. The cabin is 7 miles from Bear Mountain ski slopes, the Village shopping, and the Discovery Center for hiking trails.
Honey Dew Cabin sits on a flat lot with paved parking for two cars, nestled between trees and across from the National Forest. It is walking distance to the local market and the park. Enjoy hiking, biking, or sledding in the nearby forest.
1. The cabin's heating source is a 65,000 BTU gas wall furnace; twice as strong as what is needed to heat our 1,000-square-foot, two-bedroom cabin. The fireplace is wood burning for additional heating, if you choose, supply your own firewood.
2. There are comforters on every bed, and 6 additional thick winter blankets. The windows are all double-paned, weatherized window treatments to help eliminate the cold outdoor air from entering the house. It is well insulated throughout.
3. The cabin is located in a residential area, with a Fire Station less than one mile away, and the National Forest less than one mile away, yet walking distance to a general store and park. The cabin is situated on a double lot (5,000 square feet) with an open double lot next door. There is a lot of privacy, yet natural sunlight inside the cabin. There are curtains to block the light, if you want to sleep in.
4. The interior is lined with wood beamed vaulted ceilings, wood flooring, and cedar wooden walls. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and a coffee maker.

This cabin was perfect! It was very cute and spacious and felt like a cabin. We brought along our two small dogs and they really had a wonderful time. They were the reason we selected this cabin because it was dog-friendly. We didn't get to enjoy the backyard as much as we would have liked because it was a little too cold. I would validate with the owner that the BBQ works. We weren't able to use it, but the stove worked well. I were a little disappointed that there was no hammock (as pictured), but we had a lot of movies we could watch and had plenty of time to read. It was very nice to see that prior renters left things that you might forget like salt and pepper;-) It's not that far from Big Bear City and Village. We plan to rent here again!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

My husband and I (and our beagle) had a great week staying at the Honey Dew cabin. We really appreciated the full kitchen (including dishwasher), and the open and roomy layout of the cabin, including the large TV in the great room. We spent lots of time relaxing on the deck and watching the birds, squirrels, and raccoons. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our dog. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, which is rare in the Big Bear area, and is about a half mile from National Forest land, where we hiked daily. Thanks for a great vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We enjoyed our time in Big Bear. The movie collection was probably the biggest hit. I'm sure we will be back in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We really liked the cabin a lot. We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer. We have dogs with us and having a fenced backyard makes us feel at ease and safe for our pups. We love the 2nd bedroom with 5 beds as its fun for everyone to stay in 1 room. The kitchen is fully equiped,nice and very clean. Overall we love this cabin 10% and will stay again here on our next big bear vacation . Thanks Yancy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

The owners of this rental were very accommodating and were very helpful in planning our visit. We unfortunately had to leave early, unexpectedly, so we only stayed one night, however, we all noticed that we had a wonderful night's sleep and had everything we needed. This cabin was just as described. When we arrived the heater had already been turned on for a nice warm welcome. The beds were extremely comfortable. My husband went to take a 30 minute nap and came out 3 hours later. The house seems to have such a relaxing atmosphere we spent a majority of our day just cuddling up with a book and watching tv. The enclosed back yard was a perfect size for kids and would have been even better if we had snow. The sliding glass window allows you to watch them while relaxing on the couch. The flat driveway was wonderful. Some houses have steep hills making parking inconvenient, especially in the snow. Yancy was great. He always responded to my emails in a quick manner. He answered any questions I had and he seemed genuinely excited that you would be having a great expirence. My only recommendation would be to replace the vaccum. It left a strong pet odor in the house before we left. Other then that, it's really was hard to find anything wrong with this house. It was a home away from home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. It was perfect sized and we loved the fenced in yard. The price seems too good to be true! I have already recommended this property to friends and family. Cool cabin. In a nice area away from the hustle of Big Bear, but close enough for the activities the area has to offer. The cabin is nice, we have two small kids 2 and 4 and they loved the fire place and the close quarters. Kitchen has what you need and all update appliances. The rooms are close together and share a common bathroom which for the kids and us was just great. If your into movies Honey Dew has over a hundred to choose from. We would recommend the cabin especially for the cost.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin. We love winter sports and rent cabins often. This is one of the coziest and cleanest we have encountered. 3 things that makes the honeydew cabin stand out in my opinion are 1. amenities - wifi, cable, heater, hot water, tons of movies, fuzzball table, functional and equipped kitchen, and the bbq grill. It's all there and working. It just made the trip so convenient and easy. 2. the owners are extremely attentive and caring. I guess I can say it's "customer service" at its best. they even made the sure the cabin was warm and cozy prior to our arrival! 3. it's CLEAN!
