Looking for a truly Mexican experience...then a stay at 'El Remance', located in the heart of Old Town Vallarta.
El Remance is located in theheart of Old Town, situated at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighbourhood, right beside the River Cuales. Some of the best restaurants ( Red Cabbage, Uncommon Ground...) are all within the block, as well as some of the best local pastry, meat and vegetable markets...
We have a local property manager that offers airport pick-up, pre-grocery shopping and tour booking services. She is available during your stay should you require any assistance during your stay.
The complex is a modern style hacienda, it has beautiful gardens, waterfalls and evening lights around the whole property. A large open sun deck has comfy loungers surrounding the large pool...there is a common bbq area as well as laundry facilites.
Neighbours will greet you from their balconies...& the staff are super friendly & here to make your stay relaxing and stress free..
The condo is on the 'first' floor, so easily accessable for those who do not like stairs...and yes the property is pet friendly.
We have a large open condo - with plenty of windows,
'2 bedroom', with a Master Queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom as well as a 2nd bedroom with 2 twins and another bath, for guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped, fridge, stove and lots of supplies! Dining room has a lovely glass table and chairs and the living area has a large sofa, flat screen t.v with canadian/US satelite and dvd..
It is very comfortable for both short visits and long-term stays..

The condo is located in the outskirts of the Romantic zone but that's not a problem because there are buses that come by regularly and take you downtown. The owners are very easy to deal with and were very helpful! When we stayed there, it was very quiet and I often had the pool to myself. However, if the place gets busier you may have a hard time getting a chair to lounge in as there are only 7 chairs. The condo itself was clean and bright. The building is in shade and we never had to turn on the a/c. It is lacking some basic ammenities like a cutting board, chopping knife, wine opener, cheese grater, collander... Basically the kitchen is bare minus pots and pans, cutlery, and plate, etc. We purchased a few things (which wasn't a big deal) and borrowed from a neighbour. Also, it was a bit confusing to access as we were told there would be a buzzer we could push to get in but there wasn't. You can only get in if you have the access code. And the person who was to meet us there wasn't on site. However, the staff are very sweet and helpful and after about half hour we were given keys to the place. There is free laundry facilities and free parking - which we really liked. For what ever minor challenges we entountered when we first arrived, and the lack of cooking and cleaning supplies (like a broom to sweep the floor), I think they are minor items that can be easily fixed to make this place an excellent choice. We used it as a home base to explore PV as opposed to heading to the beach everyday and we really liked it. I am sure more people like us will come along and add to the place's collection of items :-). We will make sure our property manager know the few supplies that are still required and we will make sure they are there for other guests. Thanks for picking up a few!( there is a buzzer on the outside gate when you arrive to call managers to let them know you arrived- after that they will give you the code or will give you a door opener).
