Aqua Vista is the perfect vacation home sitting high on a bluff overlooking 100 feet of private Lake Michigan beach frontage. The sunsets are unbelievable from inside or outside the home. This luxury home is complete with approximately 3,400 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms and 4 full baths to easily accommodate a maximum of 12-15 guests. Relax in one of the 2 large 2-person jacuzzi tubs during your stay. Aqua Vista is one of the few rental homes actually on the lake with your own private beach...perfect place for your family and friends.
The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen has a 6 burner gas stove with a double oven and a dining area that seats 8 with an island. The living room is complete with flat screen satelite TV, DVD player, stereo, CD player, fireplace, and great views of the lake. The screened in porch, right off the kitchen, is a great room for everyone to enjoy dinner while listening to the waves. There is a very large laundry room for additional storage and a full bath right off the kitchen. The first two bedrooms complete the downstairs with a 2nd full bath located between them.
The upstairs loft area is a perfect sitting room to enjoy a good book or card game while taking in the amazing lake view. Upstairs is two very large bedrooms. Both are complete with private bathrooms, king sized bed, and twin-size trundle beds making each bedroom easily sleep 4. Off the master suite upstairs is a large blacony that provides amazing views of the lake and a great spot for sunbathing or a glass of wine.
The fenced in backyard and sand box are great for children. The campfire area in the back of the property is a great place for roasting marshmallows.
On the private beach you will find beach chairs and storage area so you can leave some of your beach items down there during your stay. All linens, bath towels, beach chairs, beach towels, gas grill, washer/dryer, local phone service, 2 stall attached garage, and A/C are provided.
Fantastic location...right between South Haven and Saugatuck/Douglas. Besides taking a long beach walk looking for seaglass, Petoskey stones, and catching some rays, there are great restaurants, antique shops and art galleries to visit. You are also close to several award wining golf courses. There are a few wineries and many farm markets with fresh fruit to pick. South Haven has a wonderful Farmer's Market every Saturday. Enjoy walking the pier in South Haven and the Kids Corner play area (a huge wooden castle) that is very close to the pier. And don't forget the bread to feed all the ducks and geese. The kids will love it.

A welcome book awaits your arrival with suggestions on eateries and things to do. Please NO PETS, NO SMOKING, and NO LARGE GATHERINGS OR PARTIES/RECEPTIONS. Aqua Vista is for a family vacation, and we expect the renters to treat the premises as they would their own home. If you as a guest have any medical concerns (especially allergies/asthma) please be prepared. We have a full lawn service, pest control service that may occur during your stay. We also have a family dog that does visit with us on occassion.
During peak season our rental week is Friday-Friday. Please check the calendar first to make sure the dates you want are still available.

This home is absolutely gorgeous -- as are the beautiful sunsets that can be enjoyed from the upstairs deck, the gazebo, the screened porch...pretty much anywhere on the property! Our extended family stayed here for a week and loved every minute of it. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space -- and yet plenty of large spaces for us to gather together when we wanted to share meals and family time. It's close to South Haven and Saugatuck for making excursions. But you won't really want to leave the property! Thank you for a beautiful week!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We raised our children in a 4 bedroom suburban home. Now they are all married with their own kids. Aqua Vista is spacious enough for us all to sleep under one roof and relive the old times we enjoyed so much -- with several additional new faces added since then. The grounds are beautiful and the lake access, gazebo, and outdoor patio make it a fabulous location, both inside and out.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have rented this house for a week for the last five summers and it is all we could ask for plus. It is supplied with everything we need for our multigenerational family. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The kids toys at the house and the beach are bountiful. The sunsets on the bluff and from the house are amazing. For us, the location between Southhaven and Saugatuck is ideal. Our stay at Aqua Vista has been a wonderful respite and a favorite and memorable experience for all of us. The owner does everything for her renters...be sure to treat it as if it were your own home.Recommended for: Families with young children.

My family and I have rented Aqua Vista for 6 years in a row, and it is like our "summer home away from home". The proximity to Chicago makes it convenient, and there are so many reasons that this house is extra special. From the fabulous kitchen to the open screened porch to the many bedrooms and bathrooms, we were so lucky to find something that is perfect for a large or small group. Also, the home is well maintained inside and out, and very clean upon arrival. We love that we have our own private beach and don't even have to pack a towel! Watching the sunset is a favorite past-time, and with such perfect views we never have to miss it! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a fabulous summer vacation and lots of R & R.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My husband has a retail gourmet store in Grand Rapids. I work with my brother in a family business. We enjoy cooking, travelling and beach walks. We have three children that keep us very busy.
Why the Owner Chose South Haven:
After searching within a two hour drive of our primary home, we decided this would be a great loaction to build our 2nd home. Close enough to restaurants, shopping and golfing, but far enough away to have a relaxing get away with a private beach. There are many great places to enjoy by Lake Michigan, but this home is actually on the lake.

The private beach is amazing. It's so nice to be able to have the privacy but the convenience of going back and forth from the beach to the house. Beach time is the best time. We have so many great memories and plan on having so many more. The home is large enough to entertain family and friends. We enjoy having guests stay with us. One of my favorite times is getting up in the morning before anyone else and sitting in the gazebo looking at Lake Michigan with my cup of coffee. Many guests that have visited can't believe actually how large Lake Michigan is.
