Owner's Map of Los Angeles
For the past eight years, our family has been assisting with support for 16 tribal schools with over 1,000 poor, abandoned, under-served, and stateless residential school children in Chiangmai and Maehonson province, Thailand near the Myanmar (Burma) border.
Originally from Bangkok Thailand, I love it here in downtown LA as our second home away from home. Bangkok's original name in native Thai is called "KrungThep". It has the same meaning as Los Angeles - the "City of Angels". We also share a similar crazy traffic as in Bangkok and many wonderful Thai restaurants.
We are going back to Thailand every year with our friends and family for our humanitarian project so this loft is decorated with my taste of Thai spirit. I enjoy bringing back memories of the good deeds from my trips to share with our fellow travelers.
I am proud to share my "Thai flare" décor with all of our guests, and hope you are enjoying your stay here with peace and comfort. Thank you for staying with us on your LA vacation. Hope to see you back soon.

A Completely Perfect Experience

We were a group of Badger fans staying in town for the Rose Bowl and were treated to a wonderful experience in our LUMA Loft. It was just really all that we could have possibly asked for and more. Everything was above and beyond. From the two parking spaces provided, the ease of check-in, the complimentary beverages- it was just so perfect for us. We took full advantage and were so pleased. The place had everything we needed and we needed a lot. We used the grills up on the deck and bathed in the Southern California sun in a the awesome roof-top pool. The kitchen had every possible utensil and amenity that we needed. Those that were expected and even what was unexpected. Paper towels, garbage bags, plastic cups, aluminum foil- things you don't think of but were carefully and neatly stocked for our use. Laundry left our clothes nice and clean after a long trip and the T.V. and Netflix were awesome for watching Bowl games and movies. And then there is THE MASSAGE CHAIR. The most amazing massage chair we've ever experienced. Location was perfect as we had several events located a block away near the Staples Center that were awesome for us to just stroll over to. Ralph's Grocery Store was a short 2 block visit and they even gave us a Ralph's Membership Card on our key chain which ended up saving us about $50 in groceries. Yet again- another unexpected plus to an already ideal situation. Just an amazing and beautiful place with lots of thoughtful accommodation included. We are so happy to have chosen this place and were proud to be the envy of all our friends who were staying in junky, expensive hotels miles away from the action. Thanks John and Paula!
Owner response:Thanks for the review! I'm so happy when a guest has a chance to really use the wonderful facilities we have at LUMA - the BBQ grill area is one of my favorite places, with the waterfalls and nice conversation areas. We look forward to hosting you again.

The condo exceeded our expectations. Great decor, very clean and many personal touches everywhere. The Staples Center and Nokia Theater are very close. We walked to the premiere of Twilight on high heels and didn't have any problem. Safe neighborhood. Big flat screen for sport fans and dreamy comfortable bed with luxurious linens and comforter. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends. We will be back. Thank you very much for a great stay Sasha and John.
Owner response:Carmen, Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully you were not too scared at the movie! We look forward to seeing you back again soon.

our expectations are exceeded especially when it comes vacation accomodations. The location is absolutely ideal for anyone who has a function at the Convention Center or the Staples Center. We arrived on the redeye at LAX and rented a car for the evening and turned it in at 6 the next night. The $30 we spent to rent the car beat the $55 cab ride to the loft. We turned in the car 2 blocks away at the Sheraton and began our 4 day convention. Walked to the grocery store 2 blocks away got food for the week and saved a ton of money not going out every night. Walking to the convention center took 10 minutes and was most importantly safe. The area is heavily monitored with the LAPD in cars and on bike patrol all around the area, as downtown LA has recieved a facelift in recent years. The restaurants in the area are great. There's a reasonable sushi bar 1 block away with a great lunch and happy hour and not to be out done was The Palm Restaurant immediately next door and again only 1 block away. Beginning at 9 to close they have half off appetizers and great drink specials when you go to the Palm ask for "Dragon" he's a bartendar there from Serbia and he's been there forever and such a great guy tell him "Danny and Norma" sent you and he will take great care of you....there's a menu along with many others in the Loft. As far as the actual Loft.....WOW!!! Honestly, the best experience we have ever had on vacation with respect to the actual accomodations and most importantly the bed. It was as comfortable as our own and I cannot express how important this was since we had 4 days of 14 hour days at the Tony Robbins seminars. Then there's the 52 inch plasma with the DVR and on Demand features that made it so easy to watch some of the shows we enjoy in the comfort of our home. This was a pleasant surprise but not as pleasant as the freakin massage chair! What a way to end the day..... Honestly all in all, there's no way you can come close everything the loft has to offer in any of the nearby hotels not to mention the Loft also has 2 parking spaces. All the hotels charge $25-$40 each day and in the area there are several other places to park that are a little less but the fact that it's included with the Loft is just one more pleasant surprise. The benefits far exceed what any hotel is capable of providing and for the same cost if not less pending on the time of the year you choose to stay. Overall, you will not find a better place that's centrally located in LA
Owner response:Danny, so happy you enjoyed your stay in Los Angeles and thanks for keeping the loft sparkling clean. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us on your next visit. When you visit be sure to check out the great house margaritas at Yxta Restaurant in downtown.

I had a wonderful stay. This place was perfect ... starting with the manager, who was so helpful and reliable even before I'd arrived and then was there to meet me, even though my plane was late, gave me a thorough tour and remained available for the entire 8 days. I loved the decor, the location and the extremely cozy bed! The large, flat-screened TV with Netflicks was icing on the cake and very helpful to my daughter who was recoverning from surgery. I am so grateful to have found this place - it made all the difference for my time in LA.
Owner response:Marian, We are so grateful to have shared our lovely loft with such a nice person! We very much appreciate your kind words, and how sparkling clean you left the loft. Best wishes for your daughter's 100% recovery, and please come stay again and tell your friends. Warm regards, Sasha and John
