A private romantic getaway on an acre of Holmes Harbor waterfront awaits you upstairs from Blooms Winery on Whidbey - an award winning winery. You will enjoy a mix of antiques and modern comfort, from the antique armoire to wireless internet.
Relax on your private deck for coffee in the morning or wine at sunset. You may find yourself in the middle of harvest crush activities or bottling wines, or it may be just you and the eagles and bunnies.
Walk to Freeland and visit the antique malls, the Freeland Park and beach where you find the historic Freeland Hall, boat access and dock, and a playground and picnic tables. A short drive will bring you to a variety of restuarants, or maybe you want to take a wine tasting tour of the local winery and wine shop tasting rooms.
Go north and visit the historic Coupeville Wharf, the Greenbank Farm or other local sites with historic interest. If you are a beer lover then a trip to Flyers brewery and pub in Oak Harbor would be a treat.
There are live theatrical performances and musical concerts during the year, and our local Clyde Theater in Langley shows movies in the old theater every weekend. The little waterfront town offers fun shopping excursions and good dining choices.
The Blooms Winery Suite has a mini-kitchen, so eating in is also an option - be sure to shop at the local farmers markets for the best fresh local foods!

Visit Blooms tasting room at the historic Bayview Corner - Taste for Wine- a shared winery tasting room and art gallery. There are many art galleries on the Island to visit. If you like the outdoors there are parks with walking trails and nature hikes, markets for local grown food and wonderful resturants to enjoy.

Year Purchased: 1994
Ken and Virginia Bloom have lived on Whidbey Island for over 30 years, and both their grown children were born here. They started making wine in 1998 and have run Blooms Winery as a licensed winery since 2003. They built this home in 1998, and remodels created the winery space in 2002. The suite was updated in 2009.
