The cottage was well equiped and the property was very private, it is older and sparsely decorated with an eclectic mix of art. The beds were comfy and there were lots of extra linnens, blanketa and towels. Plenty of hot water. Weaverville is just minutes away and there are several large groceries there. The historic part of town is quaint; we ate at the Jack of Hearts which has an amazing variety of beer on tap and also has live music on the weekends. Asheville is less than 15 minutes away. It was very handy to have WiFi, cel reception and a washer and dryer. The TV was a small but we weren't there to watch TV, we just caught the news with our morning coffee. We enjoyed the small chiminea on the deck with a glass of wine at night. We cooked breakfast and dinner a couple days. Bring spices if you plan to cook. The only detractor was the road noise,Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We just spent last weekend here with another couple and our dogs. The cottage was so cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed! The land was beautiful and the perfect location for a fall escape. We did some hiking nearby and took the 10-15 minute drive into downtown Asheville to enjoy the great restaurants and pubs. The location was close to everything we wanted to do, but also secluded enough that we really were able to relax and shut out the world (which you can literally do with the gate at the drive). Also, the dogs loved romping and playing outside. Lots of room to explore! Lots of charm!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: When my wife and I went to visit a friend to Asheville we felt in love with the Mountains and the Community. We enjoyed that much our time in the area that we decided we belong there and we do.
Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
We didn't choose to buy a vacation rental, We choose to buy a home with a soul and a nice land. As we were searching real state we saw our little cottage and knew that it was for us. It's beautiful and clean. Connected. Close. The previous owners used to live there and they put a lot of love in all the gardens and the house. We are doing our best to do the same. Each time we have time to travel we spend it there as a treasure and every time we stay longer. :)
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Simplicity. It has all what you need to live comfortable but you are connect to nature all the time. There are big windows all over the cottage with nice views. You get out to the deck and has the feeling that you are alone at the woods but really you are one step from downtown asheville with the great restaurants, art and music.
