This charming cottage is the perfect romantic location from which to explore Yamhill Valley's incomparable wine country. Yamhill County has over 24 wineries and adjacent Polk and Marion Counties have many more. While the cottage is a wonderful place to stay, the real charm of this property is the grounds. The property is on 50 acres of seclusion, poised above scenic farm country. The cottage looks out at a 3/4 acre lawn, a gazebo, and a pond with three waterfalls. The views are simply spectacular, with a 180 degree vista of farms, hillsides, vineyards and the setting sun descending on the Coast Range. Self-catered breakfast is included, with all you need to make waffles, omelets, pancakes, a variety of cereals, and gourmet coffee.

My wife and I just finished a 3-night stay and absolutely loved this place. Spectacular views and total privacy. The cabin was extremely well stocked and very comfortable. We found ourselves staying on the property more than we planned since we were enjoying the relaxing setting. Great location near many wineries and McMinnville is only 15 minutes away for great restaurants. Only 5 minutes away is the Blue Goat Restaurant in Amity. Fantastic food, excellent wine list and really friendly people. What a great find. We will definitely return to Bella Collina.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for staying with us! We are so glad that you had a great time at Bella Collina. We hope that you had everything that you needed. I am so glad that you were able to go to the Blue Goat! We have not been there, however, we have heard that it is a great restaurant. Thank you again for staying with us! We look forward to your next trip. Best, Chadd Olesen Scott Gibson Melody Gibson

This place far exceeded our expectations. Secluded, quiet, fabulous views and a nicely stocked fridge with lots of goodies. I appreciated that there was everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, from gobs of towels to a gas bbq to extra chairs to sit on the patio and soak up the sun. Then you add the fact that you're paying what you'd play for a middling chain hotel room and you have a read find. We'll be back.Owner response: Thank you so much for staying with us! We are glad the the cottage exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the views. We are so happy that you enjoyed the stocked fridge and were able to use the BBQ... and even got some sun! We can't wait to have you back! Thank you for staying with us, Chadd, Scott, and Melody

Wonderful visit! The cottage is charming and well-appointed down to the last detail. The welcome basket and complimentary foods were much appreicated and a generous addition. Thank you for having such a comfortable and relaxing get-away spot. The hilltop perch offers wonderful views of the Willamette Valley, the perfect combination of seclusion, yet easy access to award-winning wineries. We loved it and we plan to come back!Owner response: Thank you so much for staying with us at Bella Collina! We are so glad that you were able to come and enjoy our little piece of heaven. The one thing that we love about the cottage is that it is up away from everything, but close enough to enjoy the amazing wineries around the valley. Thanks again for staying with us, we can't wait to have you back!

Great layout! We had 2 couples and 2 single people, plus 4 kids. It worked just right for us, with room to spare. We felt right at home the minute we got there. Kitchen is well stocked. There are lots of blankets and towels. It was even decorated for Christmas!! We also loved that we could bring our dogs! Good location, close to things, but still felt very private. Can't beat the price!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Very beautiful property, even in the stormy weather! Owner even called us ahead and helped us go the long way around a flooded or let us back out. Very kind person. It turned out to be a nice hideaway(warm, and a great place to watch Mother Nature), and the road cleared the next morning. Totally unexpected was some foods stocked, which we had planned our own, and a nice hostess gift. While the furniture was gorgeous, I might have preferred a soft couch to rest my old bones. Other than that....perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed our property even when it was stormy out. We also wanted to let you know that we have just purchased new furniture. Next time that you come up to Bella Collina you will have a more comfortable place to sit and relax. Thank you for staying with us!

This well maintained vacation home is located in the little Town of Amity, conveniently located to local attractions in and around Yamhill County or if you like to venture out as we did. You can easily access byway's and highways to get to the coast or to go inland. Our visits to The Evergreen Museum, The Oregon Gardens, Multnomah Falls, Silver Falls and the City of Portland were all a pleasurable experience. There are fine eatery's and winery's locally or within a short distance to McMinville. We found this little piece of heaven and all it's charm, spectacular views and amenities to be a close 5 Star get away. We would recommend this to anyone who needs a place to get away from the hustle and bustle, a romantic getaway or personal retreat.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Situated in the heart of Oregon wine country, Bella Collina is a sweet spot to relax and rest your head. It's evident the owners want your stay to be a pleasant one and quickly responded to any questions we had. The house and surrounding property are well maintained. The waterfalls and lavender enhance the surroundings. We spent time enjoying the great view from the porch. Would encourage visitors to stop by the Erath Winery among others.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a very nice, convenient place to stay if you are visiting wineries. The owners have decorated the place very nicely. The fireplace is awesome. If they would just supply a comfortable couch instead of a wicker loveseat it would be perfect. Some ice cube trays would be a plus also. The bed was very, very comfortable; and the view is nice. I see the owners have raised the price on the rental, so I am glad I stayed there when I did. The owners' directions were a little confusing. There were some water issues meaning I had no water for 24 hours. The owners were very responsive to solve the problem but did not offer any sort of refund for the 24-hour period I was without water. Other than those issues it was a good experience.Owner response: Thank you for your review of our property. We have been looking at couches, as we too think that the wicker satee should be replaced. We are very sorry about the water issue, fortunately that does not happen often. We are sorry that it unfortunately happened on your stay. Last week I did instruct the bookkeeper to mail you a refund check of 1 nights lodging. Sorry you have not received it yet. (I am currently in New York). I will check to find out if it has been sent. Thank you for letting us know you have not received it. We have improved the directions and we hope you appreciated Scott driving out to personally direct you right to the property. We hope you will come to stay again at our cottage. Sincerely, Scott & Melody Gibson

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Scott is a physician and Melody runs our various businesses.
Why the Owner Chose Amity:
We purchased this property when we saw the view. It is near our home and someday we plan to build a home there. For now, it is our occasional getaway. We love to share it with guests because it is so remarkable that we want others to be able to enjoy it as well. We are using the income to improve the property every year. If you visit this year, it will be even better next year.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
One of the remarkable qualities of our cottage is the seclusion. It is situated on eight acres of groomed meadow hillside and a lawn almost an acre in size. But the total area is 50 acres, you you can be all by yourself to and feel the quiet of nature all around. The cottage is centrally located in Oregon's wine country, but is only an hour's drive from the Oregon coast and an hour from the spectacular Silver Creek Falls State Park.
