Those trails can also serve as cross country ski trails. Tons of access to backcountry skiing. Ovando and the surrounding Blackfoot River Valley are beautiful areas of Montana to visit. We had a relaxing stay at the Farm House, and it is perfect for traveling with dogs. The property is on over an acre and fenced, and the friendly neighborhood dog, Buddy, will stop by and welcome you! We visited in spring, so it was still a little cool, and the wood stove easily and quickly warmed up the whole house. It was also nice having a king-size bed in the master bedroom upstairs. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Rates
For stays of two nights, it is $200/night and a mandatory $75 cleaning charge January thru Mid May, weekend rate $125/night. Seven night minimum January thru Mid May, weekday rate $100/night. Seven night minimum Mid May thru December, weekend rate $150/night. Three night minimum Mid May thru December, weekday rate $125/night. Three night minimum Weekly rate: October-Mid May- $650. Mid May through September- $850. $75 cleaning fee for rentals of under 7 nights. Additional 7% lodging tax. Pay Pal accepted. Inquire for last minute deals or to negociate cleaning fee.

About the owner: I love all things outdoors, then enjoy hanging out with friends for good food and conversation. In Ovando, I can do it all, then watch the sun set over the vast and open valley, while enjoying the beverage of my choice.

Ovando is real Montana. Open, gorgeous and quiet. It is the place my wife and I go to just relax and not worry about things that need to get done. And now that it is finished, we thought, why not share this place with people from all over that may not get a chance to enjoy Montana for long or often. With multiple access points for world class fishing, endless backcountry room for hunting, skiing and hiking, multiple lakes nearby for all kinds of water activity, it justs seems like a place people will want to vacation in.

Space! Time, or a lack of watching it. Real. As in Montana as it was 50 years ago. The famous Trixie's Bar within walking distance. Extremely nice people, without the attitude found in more expensive towns. Endless bird and animal watching, at all times of year.
