My extended family stayed here for the week of July 4th: 3 grandparents, 2 sets of parents & 3 kids. The house/duplexes were clean and nicely furnished. The pool was very warm. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available to use at the beach. There are two grills, but the rental company does not maintain them, so you may have to purchase propane, but it is only $17 at Ace Hardware. Towels (bath & beach), bedding and kitchen accessories are available. Beach is only about 2 1/2 blocks away and the best beach in the area, in our opinion. The public beaches were very crowded, and the sections of beach to the north & south of us also got crowded, but our stretch was perfect. Soft sand, warm water and in the evening you can swim out to the sand bar off the beach and search for sand dollars. The water only came up to my waist at the sand bar & I'm 5'0. Saw dolphins swimming off of our beach and my mother-in-law saw a manatee pop up for air right behind my Mom, in about 3 1/2 foot deep water. I missed it though :-( Good rental experience. Would definitely look at renting this again when we come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
