I have rented this house for close to a decade and love the location. 361 Meadowlark allows for very quick access to the open waters which, if you are a boater, alleviates long idle zones typical with many interior homes. I am a boater, I love the dock, the boat lift and the newly operational dock hydro, and boat wash capabilities. There are many more expensive rentals on the island and I expect they would come with better house features but I go to Florida to be outside and you cannot beat the location of this house. The house is located on a very quiet cul de sack which is very safe for our two small people. The neighbours are pleasant and helpful and with new owners this year, some much needed changes were made. Although we found the en-suite bed too hard, other house additions were welcome... new furniture, new appliances and new air conditioning. We look forward to returning and seeing continued improvements to a wonderful place. Changes made to date bring a fresh new look to the house and many nice touches were made. Marco itself is a dream and I would love to move there!! It is safe, quiet (in the summer) and the fishing is fantastic. There are many things to do in the area and it truly is the gateway to the everglades. Five star amenities exist around the corner and in a short drive you can be in the heart of the everglades, away from everyone and everything... except mosquitos! I cannot wait to get back and am already planning to do so!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife and I along with another couple where so pleased when we pulled up to this beautiful home on Marco Island. As we walked through the home it was just a pleasure to see the views looking through all the sliding glass doors out to the water. From sitting at the outside table, lounging in the pool, sitting on the dock to cooking on the BBQ grill, you have a beautiful view from every angle. The homes interior is just as beautiful and well maintained. The home also came with fishing equipment, bicycles, kyaks, and so much more. It was a pleasure to work with the homeowners, Amy & Joe, they answered every question we had and promtly as well. What a fantastic place to vacation!!! We are already talking about next years vacation on Meadowlark Court Marco Island.Owner response: Thankyou for the lovely review!

The pictures and info on the house do not do it justice. From the moment we walked in the door we were in love with the house. The view is to die for. The house was immaculate and everything ran smoothly. The pool was the perfect temperature and clean as a whistle. The outdoor shower was wonderful. A little bar of soap and shampoo and after a lengthy swim I was quite refreshed. We never touched the air conditioning as it was a perfect temperature when we got to the house. We ate every meal out on the lanai at the big table that is there. There were more chairs in the garage if we needed them. We were all able to find shade on the lanai if we wanted it or bask in the sun on one of the lounge chairs that were out there. The house had anything you could want from bicycles, kayaks (were we never got to use unfortunately), beach chairs and umbrellas, right down to coolers if you needed one. The bedrooms were quite comfortable as we had guests part of our trip. I just can't say enough about the house and we certainly hope we will be able to rent the house again. Four adults went to the Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples one morning. You do need a reservation for visiting and I do think kids would find this a great place to go and meet wolves, cougars, prairie dogs, and guinea pigs. TheFakahatchee Strand Preserve is also another place to see alligators, birds, snakes, etc. Pelican Bend on the Isle of Capri is outside dining for lunch and very very good. Mango's on the Esplanade is very good for breakfast.Owner response: Thankyou for the lovely, honest review. You are welcome back to our house anytime.

We had a tremendous holiday on Marco Island and a good part of this was due to the location of the villa on Meadowlark Court. The view from both the pool area and the decking is absolutely fabulous. The pool area is excellent with lots of space for both people that like soaking up the sun, or relaxing in the shade and there is plenty of both. The property itself is spacious, clean and tidy with plenty of space to relax in the evening with 2 comfortable lounge areas.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/5

We rented this home in early November. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and the location on the water is great. Upon arrival, we found the house in very clean condition and although the interior is somewhat dated, everything was in working order. The owners responded promptly to all messages prior to our arrival and we received our deposit back in a timely manner as outlined in the contract. We would definitely rent this home again.Owner response: Dear Lynn, Thankyou so much for your review. I hope you will rent here again. We have made several changes since you were here. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Peace, Amy

This is the third time we have rented this house and recently there was a change in ownership. In this case new ownership was not for the better. The prior owners clearly cared about the house and renters; the new owner it seems not so much. Our previous rentals of this property were straightforward. The new owners required we sign a lengthy contract. Perhaps this was because they are in the hospitality business, but it was off-putting. Upon arrival, the house was difficult to access (only by the garage service door which was blocked with many items). and was not clean--dead insects (the exterminator came after our arrival), but less appealing was the condition of one of the bathrooms which had feces in the toilet. Our first evening, the cable TV and telephone failed, and we contacted Comcast. We spent a great deal of time on the phone and had to contact the owner, who was very annoyed ("why are they calling me?"), to arrange for service (Comcast would not deal with renters). The only service time available was a two-hour window the next evening, forcing us to cancel plans. We learned that the cable had been damaged by workmen installing a sprinkler system. Extremely disappointing was the fact that the pool heater was not functioning during our entire stay, and the pool service was not able to fix it because the heater required service by the manufacturer. Because of the difficulty in discussing problems with the owner regarding the cable, we asked the pool company representative to contact the owner. Service was not arranged during our stay. Many non-owner-occupied rental houses have inexpensive appliances, and those in this house are showing wear. Small appliances (vacuum, blender) did not work or were dirty, the stove requires extreme care not to burn the food or oneself on hot non-cook surfaces, the dishwasher absolutely does not clean dishes, and the dryer will either not dry or nearly burn your clothes. These possibly small annoyances became very large because there were notes posted throughout the house telling tenants not to do this or that (notes that the previous owners did not feel the need to post). We truly attempt to leave places better than we found them. Our stay and contact with the owners was so difficult we felt the need to photograph the house before we left so as not to be accused of anything. The location is fairly private, and Marco is great, but we can no longer recommend anyone rent this property.Owner response: We are sorry we require a contract and leave notes about how to use internet access and whom to contact in case of emergencies including our cellphone number (and two tiny notes as to dryer running hot and how to use the dishwasher with success). Prior to renting to these folks they complained about problems they had the previous year. Short of shooting out the street light, we addressed their concerns and repaired or replaced everything they noted. When contacted about the cable they asked we call comcast and give them authority to deal with them. We did so immediatly. There were no mentions of other problems they claim they encountered upon their arrival. We never heard from them until we received a text requesting a 25% refund for their troubles. The pool serviceman stated that when he examined the heater he found the thermostat at 100 degrees which probably led to its failure. Seems the renters tried to run it constantly in order to warm the water. (Mother nature gave Marco a cold wave that no heater could fix). The contract that the renters found daunting specifically asks we be called immediately for any problems. The renters chose to wait until the end to give a list of complaints. Amy Luccaro Owner

We spend tree weeks in this lovely house, everything was clean and in order. A beautiful large pool area and a fantastic view at the canal and Marco River. Many dolphins and manatees swam near the boot dock. With the cayaks we made many tours and explore withe the new bicycles the whole island. We felt right at home here.
