Great House! Great Location!
Great House! Great Location!
We loved the house and really enjoyed exploring Matlacha/Pine Island. We went in the pool, rode our bikes, and kayaked every day. We also took the ferry over to La Costa and Cabbage Key. That was great. And we explored the whole island -- from St. James City to Bokeelia. We had a great dinner at the Tarpon Lodge, and also did some shopping at the cool artists' shops in Matlacha. We bought excellent seafood at both Andy's and the Old Fish House. The house has everything that you might want, and a few things you might not expect, like a lovely greeting when we arrived. We saw dolphins and a manatee, osprey, wood storks. It was really wonderful!

This makes our second time staying here, the first was June 2011....and we will be back! We come with our daughter and her family (2 children) and we have plenty of room. The views are beyond description. It is a quiet, relaxing neighborhood. We fish, bike, swim, and eat! We love it and look forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful Week in Matlacha
Wonderful Week in Matlacha
We had a wonderful week in this lovely pet friendly water front home. It's truly a place that allows you to get away from it all and offers a feeling of privacy, while being convenient to everything. There are several good restaurants, live entertainment and groceries just minutes away. But we enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and watching the beautiful sunsets from the dock daily most of all. Booking, arrival, departure - everything was easy and the photos don't do this home justice. It's spacious and clean with the most incredible views! Judy was a pleasure to deal with in making our reservations and having Mac and Amy across the street was wonderful. They provided everything from great suggestions for activities to daily pool maintenance, without ever intruding on our privacy. We definitely hope to return!

Great house, very comfortable, very well maintained. The most beautiful views, dolphins & manatee swimming right off the dock. This place is magical, very welcoming and friendly.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this home. The home was set up perfectly to take advantage of the lovely waterfront setting. The pool was clean and refreshing and warm. Totally enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the antics of the birds and fish and passing kayaks. Sunsets were incredible! Check-in and check-out were very convenient. Mac, the caretaker, was nearby if we needed anything. Can't wait to return!

The home was beautiful as were the views. The only issues we had were the pool light did not work, there were ants in the kitchen and the first time we tried to use the grill there was no gas but the caretaker took care of that.

Manager response: Hello Steve, Thanks so much for giving us a review about our three bedroom splender on the bay! I agree the house and views are beautiful. We are so happy that our house managers live across the street and were able to come right over and address the few items that you had. We are also thankful for your review and would really enjoy having you come back and stay with us. Wishing you and your family a happy holiday.
We stayed in your beautiful home the first week of September, along with our son and daughter-in-law. We found it to be very spacious, clean and cozy. The location is absolutely awesome with the view from the home looking out over the pool and the water! So very peaceful and serene. The sunsets were spectacular, each one unique, colorful and breathtaking. We were sure to take pictures of them all while we were there. We saw dolphins daily, in addition to a manatee. Having the boat lift was great since we brought our boat to go fishing....and we did catch fish! We spent a lot of our time at the house. It was a great way to kick back, relax and absorb everything @ us. A big thanks to Judy and Mac for helping make our stay a pleasant one. Needless to say we hated to leave! Thanks a bunch!

We spent 10 great days in January in this house with friends. The house itself was exactly as shown. It is a large well kept house, very clean, and can easily accomodate six adults very comfortably. Everything that we needed was there, including beach towels, swim tubs, and noodles for the pool. The pool itself was very nice and clean, but I must mention that the pool's solar heating is a bit inadequate for the Winter months. To say that we just enjoyed our stay is also inadequate. Matlacha is a great place, if you enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, as well as sitting on the dock watching birds, dolphins, manatees and wonderful sunsets. I would not recommend Matlacha if you are looking for a place with a great sand beach as there is none here, you will need to drive a bit futher South for those. When you go to Matacha, you do need to contact Captain Brian for some real fun, "skinny water" fishing. We had a wonderful stay with our friends and would highly recommend this house in Matlacha. We found most everything to be as advertised. Judy was extremely professional and easy to work with. There is also a "onsight" manager, a local neighbor, Mac who was there for us if we needed him (even for some fishing gear). I hope that you will find this review helpful and will visit Matlacha.

We booked this house for a week in July and it exceeded our expectations on all levels. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we could need. It is right on the bay and has great access to the water. The pool was great and sunsets are amazing. The house had plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 children. Shopping is very close. We will definitely be back!

Great Vacation Home!
Great Vacation Home!
The photos didn't do justice to the home . . . more space than we imagined. Three areas to choose for dining! Spacious kitchen with lots of room where we congregated most of the time! The pass-through to the inside patio area was a bonus. Everything was clean, well-maintained and plentiful. I would highly recommend this venue!
