VILLA ESMERALDA is a newly constructed, distinctive modern villa of Moroccan/Far Eastern design. The Villa is nestled hillside in an unusual granite rock garden and provides outstanding views of Oyster Pond marina.
Adjacent to the large private pool with black granite waterfall, is the living room and dining room complemented with a large covered terrace. Two large bedroom suites, each independent , are in the main building of the villa.
The Master Suite building features a large terrace with great marina and open water views. The master suite building also houses a 4th independent bedroom suite.
Each of the bedrooms provide a bathroom that includes unusual and distinctive rock and granite formations.
Villa Esmerald is two bulding structures blended together as one. with marble flooring and decorated with hardwood furniture customized in Sumatra, Java and Bali.
The living environment is framed by lush tropical gardens with fruit trees; harmoniously blending nature and art together. Villa Esmeralda is gated, and provides off street parking. 24 hour security is also provided.
This villa is one-of-a-kind in the Caribbean, and for those with the most discriminating taste.

Wow. What a superb stay we had. Esmeralda is regal and sublime, virtually no expense was spared in construction and it shows throughout. Tastefully and lovingly appointed throughout. Some details the pictures won't tell you: 1) the internet is blazingly fast and reliable 2) Esmeralda faces the wonderful trade winds so that the sea breezes float constantly throughout the villa keeping you cool and comfortable. 3) The mattresses appear to be top-notch and extremely comfortable 4) the beautiful kitchen is very well appointed to enable wonderful meal creations. We come to St Maarten in part because of all the wonderful restaurants, but Esmeralda's wonderful kitchen, views, and breezes, inspired us to dine in more often than out; we just couldn't bring ourselves to want to leave each evening. The owners live on island and they also have a full time manager (Jill) who seems very passionate about ensuring your comfort and happiness. They even proudly stock the kitchen with some welcoming goodies including wine and cheeses. These folks love doing the hospitality thing and it shows with every detail. Esemeralda is about halfway between famous Orient Beach and Philipsburg, and we found the location to be convenient to Grand Case (fantastic dining) and Simpson Bay (restaurants and nightlife) as well. The rental rates of Esmeralda are a curiosity; they seem a bit low for the size and level of luxury, so grab this bargain while you can. My wife and I are guessing that since it has just been built, the owners are eager to build a following and are keeping the prices low to encourage bookings, but they should be very successful and the prices will likely rise in the future. We cannot recommend Esmeralda enough; we felt right at home and were so very sorry to leave, but we will be back and in fact we now consider Esmeralda our home away from home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
