  This is the fifth time we have vacationed through VRBO and this is one of the best homes we have rented. The home is surrounded by a beautiful forest and gardens. The layout of the house and the numberous windows, skylights, and decks makes you feel like you are outside. The pictures accurately reflect the home. The home comes with all the ammenties you need...comfortable beds, high quality linens, well stocked kitchen utensils, game room, and stereo system throughout the house. I recommend this for two couples to share or for a girls' get away. We sat on the decks with our books, took several hikes along the beach, and spent a day golfing at Sea Ranch. Truly relaxing! We will be back.

  My husband and I took a couple of our closest friends for a weekend getaway. When you sit on the deck, it feels like no one else is around you. You are surrounded by a luxurious setting and a beautiful setting of the redwoods with a view of the ocean every morning while you sip your coffee and eat a delicious pastry from the local bakery up the road. The house is large enough where you can have a quiet space to yourself or all join together in one room with plenty of space. The bedrooms are VERY comfortable with bathrooms which have a gorgeous view of the surrounding gardens. There are wonderful beaches minutes away and great towns to explore for the day. You can pick up some local goodies and cook up a wonderful meal in the beautiful, fully equipped kitchen. We return every year because we love it so much. It's the perfect location.

  I have never forgotten how I as a young student of architecture almost 30 years ago, saw pictures of Sea Ranch, The Lodge in various Danish architectural magazines. The simple mode of expression of the houses, the weathered woodwork and the setting in the wild coast landscape seemed very powerful to me. Thus, with great expectations my family and I headed north from SF to Sea Ranch the summer of 2011. Our house was well hidden between hills and trees. When you arrive, you kind of enter from the back. You drive to the house on a small private road. The house and the beautiful planted courtyard welcome you with tranquillity. Moving thru the house we entered one of the most magnificent spaces I have ever seen (and that says a lot). You really feel like you have arrived! It is like the house brings the nature and landscape to you and that is what Sea Ranch is all about: The presence of the Pacific Ocean, woods, tall trees etc. It is impossible to separate the house from the landscape. You are part of the landscape when you are in the house. The place fills you with humbleness and calmness and time moves slower. We spend days not thinking much about time. We took walks to the ocean, ate good food and just enjoyed being together. Our daughter (9 years old) loved the children’s ”quarters” and in the master bedroom we slept like the gods on the Olympus with the starry sky above our heads. We left the place with new energy and zest for life. We sure hope to be able to return to this magic place.

  This spectacular home has something for everyone. The house is nestled in a grove of mature redwoods and offers the most stunning ocean views in a private setting. My wife and I enjoyed our morning walks in the redwoods looking at wild turkey and deer, and then sipping coffee on the deck. My children enjoyed the game room especially the ping pong table and home entertainment system. Whether you are looking to spend time in the outdoors, curl up by a cozy fire, or sit in the window seat reading a good book this house is for you.

  We have had the pleasure of staying here at this lovely Sea Ranch home and we love it! The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. The home is beautiful and comfortable, and very spacious. Great family room / entertainment center; great for families. A wonderful place to get away and enjoy the peace and quite. Thank you.

  As a family this location fulfilled every expectation and more. It was totally secluded but offered ocean views in the most magnificent setting imaginable. Every need was catered for with plenty to occupy the young members of the family. The house is surrounded by mature grounds which is occupied by wild life making the simpliest of country walks an experience to remember. It is a vacation destination we cannot wait to re'visit
