Hale Pomaika'i, your home away from home on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, backs up to a forest reserve of native ohia trees and wonderful bird song. On a clear day you get a fantastic view of Mauna Kea from the backyard!
This is a cozy, relaxing, clean and comfortable house. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to enjoy a meal at home, or you can have a barbecue outside.
Both of the bedrooms have a queen-size bed covered with a Hawaiian print comforter, and a full-sized closet. The bathrooms are equipped with rainhead showers.
The property has a number of tropical fruit trees including lychee, avocado, pink lemon, orange, fig, calamondon, as well as herbs and pineapple that we are delighted to share with our guests in season. There are several varieties of palms, native ferns, orchids, and lovely tropical flowers scattered throughout the grassy fenced-in property.
Owner's studio is right next door, but with a completely separate entrance to ensure our guests' privacy.

From the Guest Book: It was so nice to stay in a real home and not a hotel room. The house has everything we need. We ate all our meals outside, rain or shine. Everything was very clean. We saved our pineapple, papaya & watermelon shells for the chickens. We took a day trip every day and it was great to have the cooler. Just loved everything. Mahalo!
