Oceanfront Ground Floor Condo. 37 Steps to the Water
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
You can't get any closer to the water! Oceanfront ground floor condo. 37 steps from the water. Enjoy your stay at what I think is one of the world's most beautiful beaches with the ease of accessing your condo at any time.
Enjoy swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing in the warm crystal clear water of Sapphire Beach. Whether you just want to relax, or have a more adventurous time, we have it all. There is a dive shop on location to assist you. A marina is just around the other side of the building to rent jet skis, para sail, book a snorkel or scuba adventure, or charter a romantic sunset cruise.
Enjoy just relaxing on the beach with beautiful views of St. John or the other islands. I'm sure someone will be by soon to offer you a drink, or perhaps a snack.
We provide beach chairs and snorkel gear! Just stop in the dive shop and they will hook you up. Additional equipment (kayaks, rafts, etc.) are available for rent also.
We also have a beautiful pool, the Banana Cabana
We also have a beautiful pool, the Banana Cabana for a frozen beverage and fantastic food, and of course the local iguana population!
Sapphire Beach has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Paradise!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo: This condo truly is the best location at Sapphire. You are far enough from the main beach and pool that you get to relax at all times. Conversely, take 40 or 50 steps and you are at the pool. Walk a little further and you are at the marina. You are centrally located with easy access to everything.
We go shopping as soon as we arrive and usually eat breakfast and lunch in the condo. Aimee and I are beach people, so being at the beach is what it is all about for us. At night we head into Red Hook to one of the restaurants. Duffy's Love Shack is a must visit, but don't go too early. The party has to wind itself up!

This condo is at the perfect location with the same view that you see from the Sapphire Beach Cam. This location is so nice that a wedding planner set up a wedding on the beach directly in front of our condo when she could have chosen anywhere on any island that the cruise stopped at. We thought it was the nicest beach location on the Island. The condo well well furnished and clean. It was a home away from home including wifi and a decent TV. The bed was not great and the plastic mattress pad was uncomfortable but it was typical of a vacation bed. The safe was not functional which made storage of wallets, cell phones, and other electronics cumbersome. You can't swim directly in front of the condo because they ask you to keep off the coral but the swimming area of the beach is only a short walk down the beach and they provide free lounges daily. There is no dinner type restaurant on the grounds but the Banana Cabana lunch area was convenient and quite good with freshly grilled hamburgs, hot dogs, chicken, mahi mahi, wraps and salads along with an excellent assortment of island libations. The Bushwacker is a spiked chocolate milk shake and it is awesome. The BBCs are pretty good as well. There are many excellent restaurants on the island but you need to search them out and they are usually tucked down near waterfronts and resorts. Malofies, and Sweet Grille at Secret Harbor were two of our more scenic favorites.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

For those travelers looking for more personal experience, look no further. The condo is perfect for that traveler. The description and photos accurately depict the condo and the condo was well maintained. The owner was very responsive with our inquiries during our visit. The location allows you to keep costs in check by having a workable kitchen. Eating out every day can be expensive. The location is very close to Red Hook, an area that offers many restaurants and amenities. Visit Fish Tails for their awesome breakfast offerings. In the evening check out Island Time Pub, great pizza and refreshing view of the harbor. If you are looking for more of a local experience, Latitude 18 is the place to be. If you are there on Sunday, a must stop is Pesce for their Sunday Brunch. Visit the North side and check out the Great House, this location offers one of the best views of Megan's Bay and Hull's Bay while enjoying great food. From there head to Magen's Bay Resort for Espresso Martini and some live music. If on the island on Wednesday, plan a day at Bolongo Beach. Start the day with St. Thomas Diving Club on one of their snorkeling or diving tours. Then take the sunset tour. After that head to Iggie's for their weekly carnival festival. Very fun! If you are looking for enjoyable dining experience (pricey, but very good) check out MIM's. This restaurant is next too Iggie's about 100 yards and you can just stoll down the beach to enter. A visit to St. John's is a must. For $16 you can head over by ferry (about 20 minute ride) and enjoy a day there. Grab a Safari (local taxi ride) and head over to Trunk Bay for white sandy beaches. Bring snorkeling gear. Heading back to Cruz Bay, a stop at Barefoot Cowboy's Lounge is unique and fun, then head over to the beach to grab a Pain Killer (tropical local drink) to enjoy the sunset on the beach. If you brought your passport, a day trip to Virgin Gorda to experience the Baths is a feature that can only be experienced in 3 places on the earth. Plan your trip though, ferries only travel there on selective dates. 37Steps rental offers the leisure or adventurous traveler the perfect spot to call home base. It offers amenities to allow for cost effective travel and one of the best beaches on St. Thomas. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is considering visiting St. Thomas.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you very much! I could not written a better review myself! Come back soon. Gregg and Aimee

My husband and I rented this condo. We had a great time staying here for 7 nights. Place was clean and the view is awesome. The beach is right there. The ferry is close if you want to go to St John, or the barge which we took. The snorkling is also amazing. Got some great pics of the fish. I recommend this condo and will rent from again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

After traveling to Sapphire Beach for the past 10 years, this unit was the best! So close to the beach! Everything in the unit worked well, had chairs for the beach and patio furniture. We definitely will be staying with this unit for future visits to Sapphire Beach!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The owner was helpful PRIOR to our vacation but non-existant once we found issues on arrival. The front door was broken, the safe did not work, the bed only had 3 legs (books where the 4th should be), the internet did not work, some light bulbs were burnt out, there were roaches ... I could go on. While the location was good and the snorkeling average at best, the entire complex is rotting away. Concrete is cracking, paint is needed, rusted metal needs maintenance. The pool bar and beach resturant are in ruins. On the good side, we drove the island and enjoyed our week in St. Thomas but I would choose to stay elsewere if I ever go back ... but probably won't since there are so many nicer Caribbean getaways.Owner response: Richard, I am sorry you were so unhappy, but let me address your issues one at a time. The owner was helpful PRIOR to our vacation but non-existant once we found issues on arrival. - I don't understand this comment as I was available the entire time. I do not live on St. Thomas but have a caretaker on the island. I give every guest my cell number so they can call with any questions or concerns. I never received any calls from you. As for the front door, safe and other items in the condo, I rely on my caretaker and guests to let me know if anything is needed. Again, a simple phone call could have fixed any issues. As for the internet, this is St. Thomas. A simple reset of the router would have fixed this issue, again, just a phone call away. The complex is undergoing some renovations so the exterior is not in the best shape at the moment. I could go on, but bottom line, if you have a problem, call me. I am always available. I will assist with the condo, as well as give you info on good snorkeling spots, restaurants, etc. All you have to do is ask. Gregg

First of all, we’d like to congratulate you on having the BEST location in the entire complex! During our weeks stay, we could not find a spot we would’ve rather been than your unit. Between the proximity to the beach & pool, to the fact that it is a corner unit, we feel you really have the best of everything Sapphire Beach Resort has to offer! Walk right out the sliding glass doors onto the private patio. From the patio, you’re right on the beach with a view to die for! The beachgoers (beaches on St. Thomas are public) seem to arrive down near the dive shop which is 2-buildings away & congregate there, so you don’t get the beach crowd down by the condo. Also, this unit is the closest unit to the waters edge along this entire beach! Turn to the right & the pool building is right there…….but the pool itself is on the opposite side of the pool building, so you don’t see/hear any activity at the pool, even though you’re within 30 seconds of being there. Awesome! There are units even closer to the pool, but they look directly out upon it….which isn’t a bad view either since the pool area is nice, but we prefer the turquoise sea with nothing but palm trees & islands in the distance. Being a corner unit, having windows down the side provides great natural lighting, not to mention that if you sleep with the drapes open, you wake up to see palm trees right outside the window without even raising your head! How great is that?! And since these condo units are studios set up much like an extended hotel room, it’s nice to have the additional windows which make it feel more homey & less unit-like. The unit itself is nicely decorated & has a comfortable, summery feel to it. It’s nice enough to relax & read & prepare some quick breakfast/lunch meals, but not too nice that you feel bad coming in from the sandy beach without a full shower first. (There’s a foot basin outside to rinse your feet) The bathroom & kitchen appear original, but are perfectly adequate for a relaxing summer beach vacation, as is the complex itself. Although the resort overall could use a little restoration, all in all this is a great place to park yourself for a week of island living! For the price you can't beat it. Not only would we stay here again, but we’d both be very disappointed if we weren’t able to get this very same unit! Thanks for the hospitality Gregg & Aimee, we definitely hope to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Accurately described and wonderful location. The tiles in the bathroom we thought were dirty...tried to clean them but it didn't work. Looked like cleaning crew passed around the corners with mop. The stove top is a fire waiting to happen. The burners are not level therefore pans are not level. Tried to fix that but they wouldn't stay level. Sheer curtains where hung haphazerdly and need to be cleaned. There should be a note stating the blender should be cleaned and left apart (there was black mold on the rubber). Could also use more silverware. Hope this doesn't sound trivial, but we stayed in building D a few years ago and it was tip top. Like your location better. Enjoyed taking your chairs out to the waters edge and just relaxing. Nice quiet location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
