  After so many years - it's nice that SB still feels like home. Thanks to this little gem! The listing and photos are very accurate. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable; the bathroom was clean and lovely. Everything you possibly need or want for a good stay is provided for - compliments to Ann and Lyman for their thoughfulness. The location is also superb being down the road from upper state and 101. Will definitely recommend this to my Westmont friends or anyone visiting SB. By far a superior experience to hotels/motels!

  My husband and I came to SB for a week of appointments at the Sansum Clinic. This quiet room in a beautiful neighborhood was conveniently situated between the 2 Sansum locations, each less than 10 minutes away. We took walks around the neighborhood during the day, including the nearby Stevens Park. Ann was so gracious in seeing that everything was stocked up in the room, and very respectful of our privacy. We will definitely return to this place when we return to Santa Barbara.

  I spent 3 nights at this wonderful location and I want to go back! I met both of the property owners, Ann and Lyman, and I felt so welcomed by both! The listing photos are exactly what it is like! The bed is heavenly to sleep on! Very clean, well-maintained, lots of attention to detail such as water, juice, milk for coffee, granola bars, tea bags and Keurig K-cups in the room and frig! I have already recommended this property to family in Santa Barbara who have already recommended to others! It is quiet, I could hear the crickets at night! Loved my whole time there! Enjoyed Jeannine's Cafe/Bakery on upper State Street each morning for breakfast! Location is so central to many areas in Santa Barbara! I will DEFINITELY come back! A wonderful setting! Thanks, Ann and Lyman, for such a wonderful place! I loved it!

  My wife and I recently spent 2 nights here at the tail end of our 25th anniversary trip. It was a fantastic way to end our vacation. The property is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood near the mountains -- just a short drive to the downtown/State Street area of Santa Barbara. We enjoyed the gardens, patio and even had a romantic evening picnic under the gazebo with a bottle of wine we picked up on our tour of the Santa Ynez Valley (highly recommended). The room itself is absolutely beautiful and oh so comfortable. Ann and Lyman were great hosts and so accommodating. Their attention to the little details made our stay there an excellent experience. And what a great value -- don't know why anyone would spend money on a hotel when they could stay in this home away from home.

  My husband, daughter, and I were in Santa Barbara for our oldest daughter's graduation from Westmont. We normally stay at a motel conveniently located in Montecito. This time, however, we came across Ann's ad and decided to try someplace different. We'll never stay at that motel again!! For the same price, or less if you're a Westmont family, you'll be treated to a luxurious room, very private, and very quiet. We basically fought over who would get which room, both were so beautiful and inviting. Satin sheets, fresh flowers, bathroom amenities, snacks, and great coffee. (I LOVE when I don't have to take my own coffee pot with me!) The beds were heavenly after a 5 hour drive plus 7 hours of graduation events. We only got to spend one night, but plan on spending many more as our youngest will be headed to Westmont in the fall. I'm a little afraid to post this review because it might make it harder to make a reservation in the future :) just kidding... thanks, Ann, for your wonderful hospitality.

  My wife and I stayed at Casa de Angeles for two nights this past weekend, during which time we were visiting Santa Barbara for a wedding. The accommodations are truly spectacular. The home is lovely, and the amenities make it really special. Ann is a great host and truly makes you feel welcome and at home. The room includes a mini-fridge stocked with juices and milk (for coffee), along with protein/granola bars and a Keurig coffee maker! The decor, bedding, linens, and towels are all lovely and very luxurious. The location is also fantastic, as the property is within walking distance (10 minutes) of State Street, including coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. And a quick 5-minute drive will take you to an amazing hiking spot, perfect for enjoying the beautiful Southern California weather and Santa Barbara mountains. Without question, we will be repeat guests every time we visit Santa Barbara!

  My husband & I were SO pleasantly surprised at this Amazing value in Santa Barbara. Hosts were very, very kind. Everything was just immaculate, comfortable, safe, quiet, and tastefully decorated. We were in SB for a weekend in October 2011 for some meetings, and this was SO much nicer than staying at an overpriced hotel in SB. I would definitely recommend this VRBO listing to any friend visiting Santa Barbara. We are parents of Westmont students, and the drive was about 10-12 minutes to the college.
