My family has been staying in Arrowhead for years. This year we thought it would be fun to try staying in Beaver Creek proper. We found the Granite Palace on VRBO and it was great. Centrally located, the condo is just a few stairs away from the ice rink and the main shops/restaurants. One more stet of stairs and you are at the main lift and the ski school. The condo itself is beautiful - very luxurious. The owners have thought of just about everything and it is very easy to make yourself at home. Being adjacent to the Hyatt is a real plus. The complimentary breakfast was great and saved us a lot of money. The facilities at the Hyatt were really nice too - exercise room, pool, 3 hot tubs and a theater room. The ski shop/valets are just across the way and they do a great job getting everyone outfitted and giving tips on how to maximize your skiing at BC and Vail. Finally, the owners were a real pleasure to deal with. Communication was great and they came through on everything promised. I would definitely recommend and will stay there again when back in Colorado.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: We are delighted that you chose to stay in our home this year, and that your family had a chance to experience the village of Beaver Creek. It is especially nice for families w/ children given all the activities that take place regularly. Our home serves as a very convenient location to either hit the slopes or to take a relaxing break in supreme comfort.

Our family has been going to BC for a while and 'Granite Place' is the best yet! - From the location to the morning breakfast, heated parking garage, convenient ski storage, and access to hot tubs - made it 'our place' when we stay next year in Beaver Creek. Also the owners were great - our only regret is that we are not there now. Strongly recommend this place for you when we are not renting it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: The amenities that are provided with our home rental coupled with its outstanding location truly make the difference when considering a vacation in the village of Beaver Creek. As avid travelers ourselves, we aim to please and to provide the type of service and responsiveness that we seek when we vacation.

Excellent owners, very helpful, goes the extra mile. We had a little bit of trouble with the coffeemaker breaking and by the afternoon the owners had delivered a new one. The condo location is excellent, just steps from the main promenade, 5 min with ski boots to the kids school. Next door to a great ski rental store. Nice furnishingsRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I spent a week over the Christmas holidays in the "Granite Palace" and we could not have been happier. The condo is clean and superbly appointed, more than comfortable and perfect for a family of four. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a full washer and dryer in the unit. We really wanted for nothing during our stay. The location is unbeatable -- the free breakfast at the Hyatt Mountain Lodge, the ski rental shop literally feet from the doorstep, and the village just across the street made everything so incredibly convenient. Most of all, Jim, the owner, was over-the-top gracious and helpful. We corresponded in the weeks preceding our stay and he provided directions and helpful information about every aspect of our stay -- he even got us a Christmas tree for the unit! I had the good fortune to meet him in person at the ski rental shop and he was as kind in person as he was over email. I would not stay anywhere else in Beaver Creek and cannot recommend this unit more highly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Just completed a 5 night stay. If I could adjust the rating, I would give it a 4.5 star (A-) rating. We loved the location - my 12 year old son and his friend could walk unsupervised to the skating rink, could walk home from a restaurant and head to bed while we waited for the check, and could walk from the Park Hyatt after apres ski s'mores while we lingered. We only used our vehicle once after checking in. The unit is nicely appointed with an iPod hookup and great stemware for drinking a pre-dinner glass of wine. The unit is tied to the Hyatt Residence which provides free continental breakfast and access to a ski valet 10 steps from the condo (note: the ski valet guys were fabulous about providing tips about where and when to ski which was invaluable during this year's sketchy snow conditions). The owner, Jim, is pleasant to deal with and very hands on - calling with directions and following up on arrival and just prior to departure to make sure everything was satisfactory. Our only disappointment was the lack of high def televisions which were key when watching the NCAA tourney. Jim has assured me that this will be rectified soon. We will definitely contact Jim next year when we return to Beaver Creek.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: Our home's proximity in Beaver Creek village makes life so much easier for parents of teens. The safe village environment gives your teen a bit of freedom (and the parents). We feel incredibly fortunate to have amazing support in the ski valet team (bike shop during the summer). We're happy to know you enjoyed your vacation and very much appreciate the constructive feedback. We look forward to serving your family as guests in the future.

Unit 116 was the nicest unit we have stayed at in the Villa Montane. In the past few years some of the units at the Villa Montane have appeared tired and in need of a face lift..The unit is newly renovated, clean and in a very good location...The kitchen had everything we were looking for..The master bath was comfortable for two and included shower jets and a tub whirlpool. The unit is also conveniently located near the outdoor pool and hot tub. The owners are very friendly and accommodating in every way. We highly recommend this unit to others and hope to stay there again next year. Overall we had one of the best accommodation experiences we have had at Beaver creek.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your vacation at our home. We make it our goal to keep the condo well stocked so visitors have everything they might need. The convenience of our location is a huge plus and allows for such easy access to the resort's amenities and the village of Beaver Creek. We enjoyed working with you and look forward to your family staying with us again!

This condo was the perfect place to stay. Great location in the heart of the village. Across the path from ski rental/storage (these guys are also the best!), down the elevator to the Elkhorn Lift or 2 minute walk from the Centennial Lift. Plenty of restaurants, ice skating and tubing just steps away. Great place for teenagers to have just enough independence. Breakfast is included next door at the Hyatt Mountain Lodge and is great The condo itself is updated, nicely decorated and feels like home. The owners are as nice as I have ever seen in VRBO and really do want you to have the best experience in their home. They answer any questions and have great suggestions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and definitely have them as a permanent contact in my address book!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful stay in this property. The homeowners are kind, thoughtful and generous. They thought of everything to make our stay more enjoyable and went well out of their way to accommodate our every need. This home is in a fantastic location - you are literally steps way from the pool/hot tub, the lodge and the ski valet. It takes only minutes to walk to the restaurants (which are all great), skating rink, spa and ski school - a real plus with young kids. The property is exactly as shown/described, it is very well maintained and extremely clean. I would recommend it to both my relatives and friends and we hope to stay there again. This is a terrific property for families or couples looking for a romantic vacation. Have a great time - we certainly did!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so pleased that you found the great location of our home so convenient for your family, especially getting those 5-yr old twins to their various activities. We're also glad to hear you were able to take advantage of our onsite amenities to make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to hosting your family again in the future!

We stayed after Christmas/New Years Eve. The condo was very beautiful and luxurious. We felt like guests in someone's home. The owners went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and provide us with everything we needed. The staff at the Villa Montane was very hospitable too. The ski shop is just a few steps away. The lifts are easy to get to as well. There is continental breakfast in the lobby of the VM every morning and a coffee/tea bar all day and warm cookies on some days as well. The condo had plenty of room for the six of us and we can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are delighted you found our home so warm and comfortable during your stay. Let's hope the snow conditions improve for your next visit - it finally snowed 9" this weekend and it made a big difference on the slopes. Thanks again for staying with us!
