“Family Matters” is a beautifully decorated beach house with incredible Gulf of Mexico or Lake Carillon views from every bedroom—everyone gets the room with a view!
The well-designed floor plan has two separate living areas on the second and third floors, and is the only home in Carillon Beach with an oversized tower, so you’ll always have great sunset views. The house is laid out beautifully, with:

It was great having two kitchen areas and two laundry's. It was a wonderful experience, combining luxury of a hotel with ambience and warmth of a home. We were there for a family wedding, and this house accommodated all of us. In spite of our numbers, the rooms were separated and provided privacy and very minimal noise. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Daughter booked this property for a family vacation. Great fun with children and grandchildren. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our ages ranged from 90 years to 3 years. The property was beautiful and maintained. We had a great time-first class.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I rented this beach house to house myself and my large family for my wedding. We had such wonderful time at Family Matters and were very sad to leave. There was plenty of space for all us to have privacy when needed and at the same time to gather for dinner and watch television on the huge tv screen. Jennifer was so helpful during our stay and even when the AC went out on third floor, she sent someone right away to fix it. I would definitely recommend me this to any family who wants to come to Carillon Beach, have easy and quick access to the beach and just relax and enjoy family and friends!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We go to the beach several times per year and always stay in a condo. This was so much better, I never want to stay anywhere else! The home is absolutely beautiful. The beach and pool are very convenient to the home and not crowded at all. There were 6 couples who shared the home and had a wonderful time and had plenty of room. We didn't have small children but with the gated community and privacy I feel it is very safe. We loved this vacation and plan to be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a wonderful week we had at Family Matters. It started with hurricane Issac and ended with a beautiful wedding at Grande Pointe Pavillion. We had a fun week at Family Matters. Location was great especially for children ages 1-8. We had plenty of bed space for our family of 12. Really enjoyed the giant tv for viewing movies in the evening after a day at beach and pool. We will definitely consider staying here again. We spent the week of July 4th at Family Matters and had a great week. We had three families and with the different levels and all the bedrooms we had plenty of space and everyone had a great time. The house was very well decorated and clean. We have stayed in Carillon Beach before and love it. The beach is beautiful and not crowed. The walkover is very close to this house as well as the beach pool. We also enjoyed the east pool several times. The fireworks over the lake were excellent and we could watch from the 3rd and 4th floor balconies. The house has a nice ocean view from the top deck. Great location! Easy to get to from US 98. This is second time we have stayed at this house. Property clean, well-decorated and beautiful. Noticing some minor maintenance issues (2nd floor dishwasher, 2nd floor refrigerator), lots of rusty nails popping up on porch decks. Did not negatively affect our stay in any way. Lots of room for everyone to have peace and privacy. Media room a big hit for sports viewing and DVD watching! Beach and pools in community are beautiful and well-maintained. Found security bothersome at community pool. Lots of great restaurants within an easy drive and also on site in community. Purchased steamed shrimp at Buddy's Seafood Market, 10 min. drive away....a huge hit with the family! Easy drive to shopping in PC or in Destin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My Wife and I got Married at the Carillon Beach Meeting House on Sunday May 20th and we were looking for a good place for our bridal party to stay. I researched all over and found this beautiful house! I decided it would be perfect and let me tell you it far exceeded our expectations. The pictures posted on here are beautiful but when we got to the house it still surprised us how well maintained and beautifully decorated the entire house was. Jennifer the owner was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and would even email me to check that everything was ok. Everyone had a perfect vacation and are looking forward to going back very soon in near future. I would highly recommend this house and this beautiful area to anyone and everyone as I can almost guarantee a great relaxing vacation! A Huge Thanks to Jennifer for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful home!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have just returned from a fantastic family vacation, and I want to turn around and go right back. Family Matters was the perfect home for our family. We have stayed in Carillon Beach for many years and I must say that this is our favourite home to vacation. The weather was perfect, the beach was relaxing and the marine life never let us down. From tennis, swimming, beach volleyball to watching beautiful weddings on the weekends, Carillon Beach is just what we needed after a long winter. Family Matters has everything we could have needed including the amazing television for evening hockey games (playoffs)!! I wish I could book for the next ten years so I know that we always have Family Matters available for us when we come down. Thank you for opening your doors to us.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
