Our recently remodeled guest house is a perfect place for relaxing in your own private space- yet, it is just several blocks from Baker City's historic downtown and a short drive from an abundance of outdoor activities.
The single-unit house includes a cozy sleeping nook with a comfortable queen bed adjoining a warm and relaxing living room. Nautical decor enhances the relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen is clean and crisp, reflecting our Scandinavian heritage. A hot shower awaits you after a day skiing fresh powder at Anthony Lakes ski resort.
Each night's stay includes your choice of seasonal breakfast baskets, each filled with a homemade entree, side dish, and beverage - delivered to your kitchen door every morning. This summer our basket features are European Brunch, Citrus Splash and Summertime Delight Basket. We're sure you will find this meal both tasty and filling.
If you want to experience Baker City, you can bike, stroll or jog along the Leo Adler Memorial Parkway next to the scenic Powder River. Or you might want to visit nearby coffee shops, stores, restaurants and brew pubs. Also located nearby are two city parks, a museum and sports complex. If you're looking for more exercise, the YMCA fitness center is a few blocks away and the Y pool is located near the freeway. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is just five miles out of town.
Outdoor adventures abound in our area. Anthony Lakes offers great skiing in the winter as well as camping, hiking and fishing during the warmer months. Several nearby lakes and reservoirs attract boaters and fisherman.
When back home to our retreat you can enjoy a movie, read a good book or just sit in the peacful backyard and relax. It is our goal to provide our guests privacy and comfort in a setting that is charming and friendly.
SUMMER RELAXATION...If you are looking for a way to sooth tired muscles after a day of outdoor activity or if you just want to be pampered, ask us about booking you a massage.

Well, what can we add to the previous reviews? Nothing, this property and the hosts are exactly as described! We spent this week in Baker for the skiing at Anthony Lakes, we did not have a reservation and made a last minute call to Bogart's. I spoke directly with Patty and was overwhelmed by her lovely spirit. We are familiar with Baker and wanted to visit some of our favorite diners for breakfast so we chose a "blended" B&B accommodations: Patty prepared breakfast for us the 2 days we skied and we fended for ourselves the rest of the mornings. It couldn't have worked out better and I have to say that the "to go" breakfasts provided by Patty were the best we had during our stay (The Inland Cafe is good but it's not Patty's home cooking). Cozy accommodations, great location, fabulous hosts, what more can I say, we'll be back.Owner response: We were happy to have Jeff and Gale as our guests. It was fun to prepare 2 breakfasts to go as they headed up the mountain to ski. We were glad that our guest house provided them with the relaxing get away that they needed. Anthony Lakes has had some good snow and we hope to get more winter enthusiasts our way soon. Not interested in the snow? Then cuddle in with breakfast brought to your kitchen door, watch a good movie or read a book by the cozy electric "fireplace". Whatever your purpose, we hope the privacy and personal touches of our guest house will make you want you to visit us too. We offer just lodging (at a reduced rate) if that is more suited to your needs than the breakfast option. Hope to see you soon at Bogarts' Bed and Breakfast!

Spent the weekend here on our honeymoon. Beautiful property. Very clean and comfortable. Owners very pleasant and took great care of us without being intrusive. Breakfasts far exceeded expectations. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the local area. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We enjoyed having our first honeymooners here at our Bed and Breakfast. They were fun to visit with and easy to share our guest house with. We wish them many years of happiness together! We have had a good summer hosting bicyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts as well as guests here to visit family and celebrate reunions. We look forward to meeting new guests through out the rest of this summer.

We had such a nice stay here at Bogart's. We were very comfortable and it was such a charming place. The breakfast was delicious!!!!! It was delivered in the morning in a darling picnic basket. We took it out to the gazebo and ate outside under the pine tree. There was a wonderful quiche, yummy muffins, yogurt with fresh strawberries, and orange juice. The owners Patty and Mark were very nice and helpful. We felt at home. There is so much to do in the area and we loved it. We visited the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and would highly recommend a visit to see it. We will definitely come back!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It was our pleasure to have Lisa and Brian as our first official guests at our bed and breakfast. They chose the European Breakfast basket, and we were delighted that they enjoyed their meal. We will be adding another breakfast choice soon called "Hit the Trail" which is designed for those guests who have to leave us early to continue traveling or hit the ski slopes. Mark and I are enjoying our new roles as the hosts of Bogarts' Bed and Breakfast and hope that others will soon visit our guest house this beautiful fall.

About the owner: We are retired educators who have lived on this property for over 20 years. Mark grew up in Baker City and I have lived here for 34 years. We take advantage of the scenic area - walking daily on the Leo Adler pathway (just out the backdoor), kayaking, camping, and cross country skiing. We enjoy entertaining in our home and yard and are excited about our new business venture of opening Bogarts' Bed and Breakfast. We've added lots of personal touches that we hope will make people feel comfortable and welcome in the Guest House.
