  We had a wonderful visit to the Sea Gem Cottage. The house was warm and inviting and the views were awesome. We really enjoyed watching the bald eagle and we look forward to making this cottage a permanent stop on our yearly trip to the coast.

  My husband & I just returned home from a 3-night stay at the Sea Gem Cottage. This cozy cottage was everything and more than what we anticipated. It was beautifully designed and maintained and the view was absolutely incredible. We were lucky to enjoy two beautiful sunsets during our stay. The beach is beautiful, private, and accessible from the property. We enjoyed every moment. We also liked the location as it was so close to the neighboring towns along the coast. The restaurants were wonderful and yet it was great to cook at the cottage since you could enjoy the beautiful view during dinner. While the kitchen does not have an oven, it does have a nice cooktop, microwave, and plenty of kitchenware Newport has a great Aquarium and Marine Research Center. Near there is a restaurant (Fishtails) that makes an incredible Marionberry Stuffed French Toast...a must try! There are lots of quaint shops to visit. I would also recommend charter fishing for bottom fish & crabbing. We had a great time and brought home lots of fish (lingcod & rockfish). We would highly recommend staying at this wonderful coastal cottage. It is perfect for two people or 2 adults & 2 children. We can't wait to stay here again.

  It's rare to find a nicely decorated beach house and one that is small enough for just 1 or 2 people. A full array of spices, complimentary tea and plush towels. I could read forever in the window seat. A true gem.

  The owners have obviously put a lot of effort into renovating this cottage, keeping it clean and comfortable, and the movie selection on the media player was perfect. I plan to go back, for sure.

  We thoroughly enjoyed a all too brief three days at this well built retro cabin. As the wind and rain were off the charts we were inside alot yet the little place was not cramped but rather spacious with an unobstructed horizon.

  Gem is an accurate description of this small but complete cottage. The view alone sells the property but it is so well appointed that one can stay in and cook or travel to any of the other nearby towns for great food and beautiful scenery. My husband and I spent 4 days and nights at the Sea Gem Cottage in October. We had sun and rain, both brought different experiences on the spectacular Oregon Coast. I would be sad if I never ventured back.

  I cannot say enought about this lovely little "Sea Gem"! My husband and I stayed two nights (not long enough) while in Oregon to catch a PAC-12 football game in Corvallis and also celebrate our 25th anniversary. The cottage was beautiful, well maintained and cozy. Absolutely perfect for two to four people. The ocean view is breath taking and the sound of the surf peaceful and calming. We hope to return soon!   Thank you so, so much for making the Sea Gem available to rent. We had an amazing time on our honeymoon. Some of the things we appreciated most: the well-appointed kitchen, spacious closet, huge windows, and great taste in movies and tv shows. We enjoyed beautiful weather for October, and we loved being able to walk along the ocean between Lost Creek and Ona Beach. We hope to be back soon. :)

  My husband arrived to the cottage to find it just as described in the listing and, guess what, it was even better to see it in person! As many others have stated, the cottage has clean lines, simple and chic decor and all the amenities you could need or want! The owners have made this place feel warm and cozy and very much like a home, not just a rental property. The bed was very comfortable and we found it easy to fall asleep to the ocean crashing. Speaking of, I will admit that my only concern in renting this property was potential noise from Hwy 101 however I was pleasantly surprised that the rumblings of the ocean drowned out pretty much any vehicle noise and we were even able to leave the window cracked in the evenings. All in all, this is the best represented vacation rental that I've stayed at and I am looking forward to, hopefully, staying here again soon!

  Winter was efficient and easy to deal with in setting up rental. Perfect for a couple. Simple and comfortable Well maintained,, clean. Everything you need is there A lot packed into a small space. Great view! Close enough yet far away enough from Newport. We plan on a future visit.

Holiday rates apply during the Thanksgiving Holiday (11/27/13-12/1/13) and the Christmas/Winter school holiday (12/21/13-1/5/13).

Check in time is 3:30pm

Check out time is 11:00am

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation. The balance and the refundable damage deposit are due 30 days prior to the reservation.

Full payment is required with any reservation made less than 30 days away.

All payments are made by credit/debit card through VRBO/HomeAway's secure online server.
