My wife and I had a fabulous time in Charleston and really loved the apartment. Everything from the decor, finishes, fixtures, artwork, garden, etc., was excellent. Very walkable to the water, all of the historic sites, and, of course, the restaurants. A perfect, quiet spot for a single or a couple.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Charleston and were lucky to have found this lovely place. It is beautifully maintained and decorated. The location is great, just a short walk to King St., the market and great restaurants. Although the weather was too cool to enjoy the garden it was so nice to have it right outside the door to gaze at! We would love to visit Charleston again and can't think of a better place to stay than this lovely place! Debbie and DonDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We absolutely loved our stay here. Conveniently located, close to everything, but quiet and serene. The property is beautifully maintained, every detail thought out. The owners are wonderful. We've stayed in Inns and B&B's all over Charleston, but this is now our place of choice!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My husband and I had the good fortune of finding this wonderful pied-a-terre while searching through the many privately offered rentals in Charleston. Having lived there previously, we were very choosy as to the area and wanted something architecturally special. This charming place was way beyond our expectations. We spent a wonderful winter here and can highly recommend it. The garden area was beautiful and private, the location superb and the interiors were perfect. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. In the past 12 years we have rented from private owners in Europe and the United States 15 times and I can say, without a doubt, this will remain our favorite.Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our stay in Charleston. The apartment had wonderful historic charm, but was updated with modern amenities and beautifully decorated and maintained. It was conveniently located to all of the downtown attractions, but was nestled away in a quiet, secluded location with a beautiful garden. Although we rented a car, there were several days that we were able to walk to everything and we didn't need the car at all. We were pleasantly surprised that the owners provided on-street parking passes and finding a convenient place to park was never an issue. John and Phil were extremely accommodating in every way and were a pleasure to work with. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this apartment.Did you find this review helpful? We highly recommend this property. It is a very well-designed, comfortable apartment with many custom features and attention to detail throughout. Tastefully decorated and well appointed, the owners have anticipated guests' every need. Views of the lovely garden from the living room door and all windows add to the ambiance. We have traveled extensively and found this property to be unique, a real gem. The owners were gracious and helpful from our initial inquiries and booking through checkout.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We are two long-time girlfriends from Seattle and Tallahassee who were looking to catch up and relax in our favorite city. When we arrived we knew this was the perfect place for us. Each morning new Charleston adventures awaited us, but we just could not tear ourselves away from this lovely little piece of heaven. It was truly a Charleston experience from the comfort and charm, to our very own lush private garden. The only sounds we heard were from the birds in the trees. The apartment is perfectly thought out, from the comfortable furniture and bed, to the 5-star attention to detail in the bathroom and kitchen - we never wanted for a single thing. A surprise bonus was the proximity to the Wentworth Mansion just next door, with its 5-star restaurant and cozy bar. We wholeheartedly recommend this charming and immaculate apartment to anyone looking for a true Charleston experience in every way.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Peaceful, Sophisiticated, Historic District Gem! This beautiful apartment is the perfect Charleston getaway. It is serene, quiet, tranquil, beautifully decorated, very well appointed, perfectly equipped and very clean. The garden outside your front door, which is visible from inside, is a Charleston dream. The location is ideal. You can walk everywhere in downtown Charleston. I feel so fortunate to have spent three wonderful weeks here. The hosts are wonderful! Very thoughtful, and very excellent communication, from start to finish. Truly an ideal Charleston experience!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This hideaway could not have been more perfect for my husband and I. It's located close enough to everything that we rarely needed to drive anywhere, but it's far enough removed from the busy downtown streets that you feel very secluded. The surroundings are gorgeous, the property is very peaceful, and the amenities are just right. Perfect for any couple (or single!) looking to just get away from it all, but still have easy access to incredible downtown Charleston. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, and we hope to stay again next fall (which is a beautiful time to see Charleston!). Definitely a low-key place, great for those who aren't party animals but just want to enjoy the sites and stay in a cozy, quiet place. Perfect for couples, but I'm sure anyone in Charleston as a single would absolutely love the place. The pictures are accurate, but it's even more charming in person. It's located near the College of Charleston, but the presence of college kids was not overwhelming. I was concerned when I saw the greek housing so close, but it was nothing. John was very easy to work with throughout the rental process, and we felt very much at home the whole week. Aside from the property - the best restaurants for our money were Toast and Jestine's Kitchen. True southern cooking, without having to take a second mortgage on your house to pay for dinner! We highly recommend Charleston Cooks - a little kitchen shop on East Bay Street which offers cooking classes where you can watch, or actually prepare, southern cuisine. We took 2 classes, they were both awesome.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
