Perched at 8290 feet in elevation, this immaculate luxury home has a warm feel with an open floor plan and vaulted tongue and groove beam ceilings that create an inviting atmosphere for friends and family to gather. Relax with a drink in front of the charming wood burning fire place at the end of a day of skiing, or enjoy nature and wildlife on the 800 square feet of hardwood decks. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features custom pine cabinets, granite countertops, hand tile work and stainless steel appliances. Complimenting the open floor plan are hardwood floors throughout.
Best of all, Peakview Lodge is perfectly situated. Here you’ll have the best of both worlds. You’ll love the peace and quiet of this acreage, bordering National Forest Land with a hiking trail right off the property as much as you’ll love the convenience to the town of Nederland which is less than five minutes away. Eldora Ski Resort is five miles away, making it easy to be the first on the slopes and simple to take a mid-day break to grab a bite to eat and head back for more fun.
Choose from endless hiking, biking, fishing, snow-shoeing, Nordic skiing and horseback trails in the close vicinity. The Indian Peaks Wilderness awaits just moments away. Or take the scenic 45 minute drive to gorgeous Estes Park. If gambling is more your style, the quaint mountain town of Blackhawk is just 30 minutes away. For shopping, dining and sight-seeing, the town of Nederland is sure to please as is Boulder, located just a half hour down the beautiful river-side canyon road.

THE RUNDOWN:
-SKIING: SIX Fully transferable Eldora downhill and Nordic skiing lift passes for free skiing you entire stay! (Ski gear not included. Great savings as an adult one day lift ticket costs $79).
ACCOMMODATIONS:
-4 bedrooms/3 full bathrooms/1 half bath
-Master suite with king bed in master. This room has a beautiful attached bath with 2 sinks and dual head shower
-Bedroom 2: one full bed (shares next door full bath with two sinks with guest bedroom 3)
-Bedroom 3: trundle bed (ie: 2 twin beds)
-Bedroom 4: one queen bed, attached full bath.
COOKING:
Fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, stove/range, microwave, refrigerator, all cooking and eating utensils, basic condiments (be sure to ask if there’s something you need)
DINING: We know you’ll appreciate having ample room to comfortably dine after the day’s activities. You’ll find plenty of seating for dining. The breakfast nook seats four, the formal dining table seats eight, and the bar seats five. All dining is located in the spacious great room. Perfect for family feasts!
PARKING: Driveway has snowmelt system which is environmentally friendly and automatically turns on, sensing the combination of moisture and freezing temperatures. This keeps the drive free of snow and ice for your safety and convenience. The drive accommodates three cars (three car maximum). There is one stall in the garage for one of the three cars.

I had a wonderful time at Peakview Lodge with my 12 friends, celebrating my friend's 60th birthday! The lodge is almost new and is in great condition. It is nicely furnished, well-equipped, and clean. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, with the spectacular views. The lodge is close to town, but it offers the serenity and beauty of the Colorado mountains. There was a 16" snow while we were there, but the heated driveway provided a clear path to the road, and the road was graded often during the storm. We had no problem getting into town. Nederland is lots of fun, and we really enjoyed Frozen Dead Guy Days (check it out online)! We came with a group of family and friends and stayed for five wonderful days. We all fell in love with the house and could not imagine feeling more at home. It had everything imagineable to make your stay feel comfortable. Marie was so easy to work with in setting up our stay. Thank you for a new home away from home! We are already looking for a time to come back next year! We came to ski at Eldora and had a wonderful time there. The little town of Nederland is so beautiful, tucked away in the valley. The ride from Boulder was breathtaking! We even went for a little drive and found ourselves in the town of Eldora, do not miss it! It looked like something out of a book. The pictures of this location really don't do it justice. The view is stunning and the accommodations in the house were just excellent. Marie was a delight to work with and she was able to make adjustments for our group of 7 adults who were coming to and from the Denver Airport. I also had my 3 month old baby in tow, and the house was very baby friendly. My work team felt well cared for with the many bathrooms, great beds and all the bells and whistles for us to cook together. I highly recommend this place!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Our son graduated from CU so we rented the peakview lodge. It really could not have been a more perfect spot! Not only is the house beautiful, it is spotless, unique and very comfortable. It was an ideal "retreat" from the madness of Boulder during this busy weekend.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

My family has visited the Peakview Lodge during the winter and late summer seasons, and our vacations each time were outstanding. During the winter, you can't beat the free ski passes that give you access to El Dora Ski Resort, which is only minutes from the home. We also enjoyed the close proximity to many beautiful hiking trails. During the late summer, we again enjoyed being so close to lovely hiking as well as the cute town of Nederland. Peakview Lodge is also less than 5 minutes away from shops, a grocery store, restaurants (including delicious ice cream), and a park. In particular the Wild Mountain Smokehouse and Brewery (just down the road from the home) has yummy food and great locally brewed beer! This home is beautifully equipped and very well-maintained, with all the essentials a family would need. There was ample space for our group of 5 adults and 4 children. Our favorite part of this home was is definitely the gorgeous deck with stunning views of the mountains. We spent a great deal of time out there during our second visit in the warmer weather relaxing and watching wildlife in the yard below us. The owners were easy to work with and work hard to make sure that their guests have everything they might need. We appreciated this attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacations, and Peakview truly felt like a home away from home during our stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Beautiful home with plenty of room for everyone. Close to town and skiing yet very secluded with breath taking views of the mountains and reservoir. Our family had a great time skiing during the day and relaxing by the wood burring stove in the evening. The free ski passes were such an added bonus to this top notch lodging! We loved this home and can't wait to rent it during the summer! The homeowner was also very helpful and accomodating to our schedule. They also had great recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. Peakview Lodge is absolutely breathtaking... everything from the wood floors and gorgeous kitchen to the view out the nearly panoramic windows. It's everything we could've imagined for our four-day stay. Wood burning stove, comfy beds, ski passes, garage, washer/dryer. It's a home away from home. If we needed something, it was there! It was spick-and-span clean, equipped with humidifiers, board games, coffee, stuff for s'mores... you name it! And the owners were so very pleasant and easy to work with. My family and I stayed at this marvelous home while visiting friends in Boulder. We had just a wonderful stay. The home is magnificent inside with outstanding views on the outside. It's proximate to all sorts of activities too. The town of Nederland and the surrounding area quaint and beautiful, Rocky Mountain National Park is just up the road and Boulder, with all of its great restaurants, shopping and the Pearl Street Mall is very close too. The homeowner was also very helpful with hike, trail running, bike riding, restaurant and shopping recommendations. It was a joy to have stayed at this fabulous lodge for our Colorado holiday! The comfort we experienced-lovely beds, fluffy towels and especially the reclining chair delighted us. The home was perfect for us in so many ways. The warmth, functionality and beauty in and out made our stay a complete success. There were clear instructions for each feature of the home. The Christmas tree radiated pure joy. The adults and children made good use of the ski passes and we appreciated that "plus" very much. Thank you so much for opening your lovely home to us! We enjoyed the view, the details and comforts and even getting "snowed in!" Our little ones loved the toys, and we enjoyed being able to sit together comfortably for dinner, having home cooked meals and playing board games after a full day of skiing. What a great place! About the owner: Dan and I (Marie) are both nature lovers. We enjoy being busy parents and lead active lifestyles including lots of family hiking, swimming, traveling and snow skiing. Here we are in China, adopting our second daughter in Sept of 2010…We now have 3 daughters (and need a new family picture). We live in nearby Longmont, just 50 minutes from Peakview Lodge and get up to Nederland as often as possible. Dan works for the US Office of Inspector General which includes the National Parks Service.
Why the Owner Chose Nederland:
Dan is from Kansas and I am from North Carolina. We have both lived together in California and Texas previously. Because we are both nature lovers, living in Colorado has always been a dream of ours. We moved here in 2005. Because we have visitors from all over the country, we wanted a spacious but inviting, well-situated home to host lots of people in the mountains.
We searched the area for the perfect property for over two years. When we stepped into Peakview Lodge, we knew this was the perfect place. We love the serenity and beauty of this home and the endless activities nearby. The lodge is rustic, yet modern (built in 2007), with beautiful wood features and floors and offers outstanding views from inside and the upper deck.
The central location to experience all the best that Colorado has to offer is appealing. From here, endless outdoor activities beckon in all seasons. We enjoy the balance between the rustic charm of Nederland, the eclectic sophistication of Boulder and the breathtaking natural surroundings of the Rocky Mountains.
