From our arrival, we were visibly impressed by not only the attention to detail in the amenities provided (fully stocked kitchen, very nicely appointed living room and bedroom) but by the physical condition of the overall property. Although these condos are some of the oldest on the island, they have been meticulously maintained, with one of the best views of upcountry, kihei/walea shore and adjacent islands. The perfect locale for whale watching, and conveniently located to the entire island no matter which side of the island you prefer. The unit and environs boasts the ambience missing from the major chain hotels, at a fraction of the price. Would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a romantic getaway.

Fabulous Condo

We recently stayed in Caroline and Allan's condo in Maalaea. This is a very nice place for a vacation ! The unit is very nicely updated, the kitchen has everything you need and more, Caroline did a fabulous job with the cabinets and countertops ....very nice. The furnishings are very comfortable, bed is great , liked having the one bathroom off the bedroom, more than enough storage, nice flooring, good internet service. We don't know what else anyone could need ! Loved the lanai overlooking the pool, it is offset from the rest of the complex, so any wind doesn't seem to be an issue, wonderful ocean view from inside and out. The complex is quiet and very nicely maintained. We have never stayed in Maalaea before and we loved it..wonderful to walk to restaurants and stores...we were surprised at the lovely lawn area in front of the buildings, from the road you don't even know it's there, lovely morning stroll, I guess we never realized how beautiful the ocean views are in Maalaea.i. Thank you Caroline and Allan...can't say enough good things...see you soon.

Awesome vacation property!

My husband and I had an excellent stay at this property. Beautiful decor, clean, comfortable, bug free, ground level with pool located in front of the unit. Lovely ocean view off the adorable covered terrace which is perfect for reading, relaxing and dining. The owners were extremely accommodating and wanted to ensure we had the best possible vacation. They provided us with information regarding local activities as well as conveniences . The location is perfect for walking to local shops, restaurants and sugar beach (great beach for all activities). Hint-- the General Store has great food! We highly recommend this property -- perfect for a fun, relaxing get away!

Nice Condo

This was a very nice condo. You can tell the owners have done a lot of work to make it very comfortable. I was satisfied with the quality of the condo and had a very nice stay. Once I left, however, there were complaints that I did not properly clean the condo according to the directions listed in the condo. I did follow those directions and did everything on them that I was told to do. I did not leave the unit damaged in any way and I paid the required cleaning fee. I would not rent this condo again.

Owner response: All that we ask of our guests is that they treat our home with care and respect - our housekeeper found 9 days accumulation of sand and Maui red dirt mixed in with coffee grounds on our hardwood floors and a large puddle of water on our wood furniture surfaces in the bedroom - no deposit money was withheld from this guest - I just emailed her that we were disappointed in the condition that our home was left in. We strive very hard to keep this vacation rental in top notch condition for our guests. Each and every one of our past guests have had a wonderful stay - left our condo very tidy - and several have already booked again with us - a motel room with daily maid service is probably more suitable for this guest.

As this was our first trip to Maui, we had no idea what to expect when booking a condo. Through a friend we found this Condo unit and were very pleased with the results. The owners were so nice and went beyond the call of duty for assisting us with information on our trip as well as made the rental transaction go smoothly. Their instructions were well communicated and the condo building itself had friendly faces whereever you turned. The pictures of their unit were accurate and reflected their write up. Their unit is beautiful, comfortable and well kept. It's quiet but if you are looking for a little night life, you can walk down to the harbour and sit in one of the local restaurants for a drink. Although one of the windiest locations, it's refreshing on hot days. Guaranteed Whale sightings right from shore! (during peak seasons) Located in central Maui, it's an ideal location for any excursion you are planning. Whether walking to the harbour to catch a whale watching tour, or driving a short distance to several different beaches, or running to Costco for groceries. Our favorite beaches were Big Beach past Wailea and Kalapalea beach. Aqua Adventures provided a fun snokerling excursion even stopping for some wonderful whale watching! We would definitely recommend this condo unit!

Wonderful 1 bedroom condo in Maalaea Harbor, that is groundfloor and poolside in central Maui.

This is a wonderful condo was remodeled not that long ago and it is in Maalaea Harbor. It is between Kehei & Lahania making it central to most everything on the island. There is a pool just out the door and a spectacular view of the harbor and beautiful sunsets. The condo itself is well equipped with everything you'd need for your stay and the rates are very reasonable. The condo is great for 4 people with a comfortable king size bed and pull out couch. We were just there for 10 days and can't wait to go back. There are lots of great restaurants close by and if you want to drive 10-25 min there many more to chose from in 3 different directions. It can be as quiet or as busy as you want to make your trip to be with lots of near by beaches or tours available.

Nothing says vacation, like a cozy home away from home. Your condo was PERFECT for us as we celebrated our anniversary. Loved every minute on Maui, and coming "home" to your condo after a busy day enjoying the island, was the icing on the cake for us ... Digger and the whole crew in the condo complex were always there for us and always asked if we needed anything. Felt good knowing we were taken care of. Thank you for everything, we look forward to staying with you again in the future !!!

This was absolutely the BEST vacation we've ever had! The condo is centrally located, making it easy to travel all over Maui. The photos are a true representation - everything is exactly as shown online. No surprises. The bed was very comfortable and after a great day of site seeing or snorkeling a comfy bed means a great deal. The breeze kept the temps perfect and not needing an airconditioner was just heaven for us. The kitchen is well stocked with every applicance, utensil, etc. that you desire. We enjoyed walking around the harbor with access to several restaurants and lovely shops from a deli, coffee shop, the laid back Beach Bum to the five star Tradewinds. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

Wonderful location. The unit had everything we could possibly need - from beach needs to preparing a lovely meal at home. The natural air movement throughout the unit made it possible to never need the air conditioning - which we loved. Very comfortable and welcoming when we arrived back from a day of activities. Lahania was our favorite location and we tried ziplining for the first time and it was just up the road from the unit. Thank you! Julie and Eric

Perfect home away from home

This condo was the exact right choice for our honeymoon! It is centrally located, an easy drive to all the activities we chose, plus there are restaurants, a marina, shopping and the Maui Aquarium all just a block away. The condo was super cozy. The bed is so comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. They even had beach chairs, mats and body boards for us to use. The lanai is a perfect spot for your morning coffee or the last mai tai of the evening! The unit is located in a great spot, seemed private and was always quiet when we were there and we enjoyed watching the boats come in & out of the marina. The trade winds keep the temperature perfect, we never used the a/c. We cannot wait to rent this again!

This was the most satisfying trip of my life, Not merely because of our recent wedding, or because this was truly paradise, but because of the "home feel" that this condo provided. After the first day, we had a sense of comfort that I typically don't find when I travel. "Every" possible comfort needed, was provided. Newly remolded with a classy, comfortable touch. The "postcard" view from the lanai was BREATHTAKING! We found ourselves spending a lot of time watching the surf and sailboats from there. Maalaea is centrally located to everything we needed. We walked many beaches to appreciate other condo views, but found none that would provide the serenity of this one. We truly enjoyed this, the first of many to come. Our new "home" away from home.

Exactly what we expected

Exactly what we expected ... when was the last time you could say that about a vacation place? The condo is well laid out and the decor is super nice. From the bed to the couch and chairs ... everything was very comfortable. It was a place that you could stay in if the weather went south and not feel cheated. I was pleasantly surprised with all the extras ... sand mats, beach chairs, boards ... umbrella ... we didn't have to purchase anything to visit the beaches... it was all supplied. Quiet ... not sure why but it was ... plenty of people coming and going but still quiet. The swimming pool is a lap pool - 3 ft deep ... on the community patio, there's a great set of barbeques that were available for outdoor dining. The small beach was pleasant and serene place for a cup of joe ... A secret ... if you need a few groceries but don't want to go all the way to Safeway, there's a little grocery/deli in the complex next door ... quick walk across the grass and you are there! I didn't realize what a genius I was to locate at the Maalaea Harbor ... it was central to everything so it didn't feel like a 'long drive' in either direction. Lastly, the owners are especially nice and helpful. Leading up to the trip, we received many great hints and suggestions to ensure we had the best vacation. It always makes a trip more enjoyable when everyone looks after each other. Thanks - if we return, we would definately come back to this location. I have definately recommended it to friends.

Happy with Maalaea Harbor location....

The condo worked great for our particular stay. The location of Maalaea Harbor was central, allowing us to day trip to any portion of the island with little time and hassle. Hands down, the King sized bed was the very most comfortable bed we've had in any condo rented thus far. It's so important when you're on vacation to look forward to going to bed at night, and getting a good nights sleep. The unit is incredibly private considering you're on the ground floor. Having a pre assigned parking spot, close to the entry to the unit made everything so easy. The property was incredibly clean, updated, and well maintained. The owners were extremely helpful and attentive. It was so nice having the grass mats, towels, chairs, and boogie boards available. It helped to simplify and streamline our stay. We stopped at so many incredible beaches.......one that we found particulary nice was the public beach in front of the Grand Wailea. They offer SUP lessons and rentals, and the staff is so accomodating. If you get there before 9:00 a.m., it's half price. We also found a great snorkel beach on the last day at mile post 14 as you're headed to Lahaina. A restaruant in the vicinity before the tunnel is called Leoda's Restaruant and Pie House. They do amazing salads, sandwiches, burgers and pies. It's a beautiful, new, very nicely presented restaurant that would be great for a day out exploring. We also had a wonderful meal on our last night in Pa'ia at Flatbread Pizza. Probably one of the best meals we had on the island. Next time we'll be going to Mama's Fish House....sorry we missed it this time around.

A Home Away From Home

We picked the right condo in a beautiful location. We spent 14 days and wished we could have stayed longer. The listing photos depict how beautifully the condo is decorated. Everything is new and very well appointed. The lanai looks right out on the harbor and we loved having our coffee and watching all the boats come and go each morning. Just steps from the condo is Sugar Beach which seems to go on forever. Great walking beach. Also within steps is one of our favorite restaurants, Buzz's. Wharf. This condo is very close to Kihei and more good restaurants. The Sea House and The Hula Bar were two of our favorites. We also recommend one of the Trilogy sailing trips, particularly the all day trip to Lanai out of Lahaina. You will love this place. We would definitely recommend this property.

We had a wonderful vacation at this one-bedroom condo for five weeks early this year (2012). Everything met our high standards, and we felt it was just what we were looking for. The unit was very clean, nicely furnished and well-equipped. The central location was excellent. Linens were high-end. We had our very own parking stall. We could watch the whales from the lanai, and all the people we met in the building were especially warm and welcoming. Thank you Caroline and Allan. You were so very helpful and wonderful to deal with; it is easy to recommend this awesome unit.

The people in the other condos are so nice and it is so quiet here. To wake up to a view that only God could create was amazing. Again thank you.

This beautifully decorated little suite has everything needed for a dream vacation. Very clean, breezy, spectacular view, comfy bed, and convenient kitchen. The California shutters were a nice touch to protect privacy while letting in maximum light and view. The location is central for day trips anywhere on Maui and nearby Sugar Beach is just perfect for walking, swimming and snorkeling. The owners were very helpful and always just a phone call or email away. We highly recommend this condo.

This condo is very attractive, comfortable, and convenient. It was very pleasant to have both the Maalaea Marina and crashing waves outside. The pool is right outside of the condo, which is something to be aware of if you require more privacy, but there are designated quiet hours and the grounds were pretty sedate during our stay. Good beaches and restaurants are within walking distance, and it is centrally located for road trips around Maui, too. The kitchen is adequately equipped for cooking, so we prepared most of our meals and just enjoyed the beautiful condo and surroundings when we weren't out seeing the sights. The tradewinds provided all the "air conditioning" we needed. The condo owners and grounds managers went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property.
