This was our first stay in Santa Fe and Casita Elena was a great spot for us. We were close to the Plaza and left our car parked many evenings. The casita was very comfortable for two, well-furnished with great attention to detail (coffee! wine! a washer and dryer! free internet! a fireplace with a ton of firewood!}. We didn't cook, except for breakfast, but we could have. Too many excellent restaurants within walking distance...

The Casita Elena was a delightful home away from home. We celebrated my mother's seventieth birthday there and the location could not have been better. Just up the street to the Plaza and just down the street to DeVargas Mall with Starbucks, CVS pharmacy, Sunflowers farmers market store for food. Truly a wonderful location and Linda was the hostess with the mostest! truly a delight! We will be back!

Quiet, Comfortable, Convenient Casita in Santa Fe

I would highly recommend this property to any couple looking for a quiet, comfortable , convenient place to stay in Santa Fe. The casita is well furnished and the decor is a credit to the owner's good taste. Everything we needed for our stay was furnished including lots of firewood, which came in handy during the area's first snowfall of the season. The casita is within walking distance of the Plaza and a nearby shopping mall with several restaurants and a movie theater. The Santa Fe Bar and Grill has good reliable food and two grocery stores are also nearby. The owner provided just the right amount of attention, greeting us when we arrived and stopping by before we left. We would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed the Casita and Santa Fe. Linda was easy to work with in coordinating our stay. The home is cozy, well kept, clean and very functional. We enjoyed meals there as well as in the downtown plaza restaurants. It's an easy walk to many of the museums and art galleries. There are great hikes in the near-by mountains and for a real treat try the 10,000 Waves Spa. Linda, thanks for sharing your great place and for the treats you provided to get us started on our vacation!!

As first time users of VRBO, we were extremely happy with Casita Elena. So very charming, comfortable, clean and best of all gave us a taste of the Southwest. We walked daily, sometimes twice, to and from the historic plaza from Casita Elena; an easy 3 block stroll. The food choices & quality winthin walking distance from Casita Elena were so great that we did not utilize the wonderfully stocked kitchen as we could have. Would love to return and will recommed this property to family and friends!

My husband and I just spent 3 wonderful days in Santa Fe staying at Casita Elena. This guest house has everything and then more. It is especially cozy for just 2 people, the kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, and you must try out the claw footed tub in the bathroom and don't miss the two robes and slippers in the closet, it's a veritable spa! The house is a nice walk to the plaza and it's in a very quiet neighborhood. We'll definitely go back to Casita Elena.

We loved staying in this casita. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the location is perfect for walking to downtown. The owner was very gracious in providing us with a bottle of one and breakfast makings for the first morning. The only glitch was getting the WiFi to work which was easily resolved. We recommend this rental for anyone looking for a serene place to explore Santa Fe for a few days or a week as we did.

My fiancee and I stayed at Casita Elena over Memorial Day weekend and we had a delightful time. The casita is absolutely charming and very comfortable. The lights on the bed are very romantic and the tub is fabulous. The walk to the Plaza is short and there are 1,000 things to do/see once you are there at the Plaza. We had a dental emergency on a Saturday night and the owner was kind enough to help us find an emergency dentist. She exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a one bedroom casita, this is the place!

We chose Casita Elena to be our base on a 5 day motorcycle adventure and found it to be absolutely perfect. The off-street parking and convenient location were great, and our first impression of the interior was that it was charming and very welcoming. It was a lovely walk to the downtown area but if we wanted to stay in we felt we had all the comforts of our own home. The washer/dryer really came in handy as we had limited luggage capacity on the bike. We really enjoyed all the healthy breakfast goodies we found on our arrival. Linda is a fabulous host, anticipating your every need. Casita Elena is the benchmark for VRBO's..we'll be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a week in October 2009 and loved it. Great location, walk to Plaza. Several large grocery stores and strip malls in the area. We bought stuff for our daily picnics when we were out on the road sightseeing. Linda( and her Mom) are lovely hosts and very accessible and helpful. Property is immaculate clean, and has everything you may need. Wine,juice,coffee, milk,bread, fruit was waiting for us when we arrived. Such a nice touch! My husband enjoyed lighting the fireplace each morning and evening ...made it very cozy. The only thing I would recommend is to have a full size comfortable couch in the living room. The small love seat was not that comfortable even when sitting and difficult to stretch out in when watching TV. Next trip to Santa Fe will either be in summer so we can take in the Opera or during the holidays so we can enjoy the charm of the city in the winter 2 Bedroom property attached is lovely also.! We stayed in Casita Elena for 4 nights in July 2009 and couldn't have been more pleased with the property. It is a charming place to stay, tastefully decorated and stocked to make your stay as convenient as possible. The personal touches such as a welcome bottle of wine, music, and breakfast supplies are definitely a plus. Casita Elena is a short walk to the Plaza and convenient to highway access. We definitely will stay here again.

We stayed at Casita Elena for four nights recently during the Oil Painters of America exhibition and conference. We were so pleased with everything...the furnishings were so beautiful and comfortable. Our meetings were held at a hotel on the Plaza which was just a short walk away from the casita. The owner was so pleasant and called to find out our favorite breakfast items, tea and coffee, which were stocked and waiting for us along with a bottle of wine to welcome us. My husband had to work quite a bit during our trip and having the internet available right there was great. Casita Elena is beautiful, comfortable and very romantic...We will definitely stay here again if it is available next time we come to Santa Fe!

My husband and I have stayed in Casita Elena on three separate occasions. On two visits we focused on the Santa Fe Opera Festival. For the other visit - which we made in June of 2008, we brought our entire family (three adult children and one partner, all in their twenties and thirties) for a week long visit. We stayed in Casita Elena and they stayed next door in Casa Colores. It was the perfect setup for all of us. WE CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS LITTLE CASITA IS! Linda and Tim are the most gracious hosts and the place itself is totally charming and couldn't be more convenient for walking to the Plaza or driving out of town into the beautiful area around Santa Fe. We definitely will be visiting again!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this charming casita. Just blocks from the plaza, and withing walking distance to museums and restaurants, this is an ideal place for couples visiting Santa Fe. Fruit and chocolate added a nice touch and the magazines and brochures were useful. This place has a great ambience and we would definitely stay here again.

I have had the pleasure of spending a month at Casita Elena, and cannot say enough about the wonderful landlords and the clean and beautifully decorated historic casita. I came here without my car, but it proved to be no problem, as stores and the center of town is in easy walking distance. The washer and dryer made the extended stay easy, and the generous start up provisions were very helpful. I have felt so cared for and highly recommend this beauty to anyone visiting the area. If you do bring a car, there is parking provided. The kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. to cook great meals, I really enjoyed the fireplace. You will want to come back!

I've stayed in other B&B's in the west and southwest and Casita Elena ranks at the top of my list. A very short walk to town, the location is perfect! But location isn't everything. It's the type of place that feels like it could be a second home the minute you walk through the door. After a day exploring Santa Fe's treasures, I looked forward to relaxing at my little retreat. It had everything I needed (including a washer/dryer). I was missing only one thing. When making my tea, I realized that there was no honey. One call to the proprietor and the honey appeared in minutes! I highly recommend Casita Elena to anyone visiting the Santa Fe area.

The Casita is a beautiful restoration of a classic historic Santa Fe adobe. The entrance is very private and the accomidations and service exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is quaint, great for walking and quite. we had a fantastic experience!

Charming Casita Elena is lovingly decorated in the southwestern style. the owners have thought of every amenity known to man to make this destination a comfortable 'second' home, including a working, wood-burning, easy-to-use Kiva fireplace. We spent a wonderful week in Casita Elena in mid October. This property is ideal for a couple for a week in Santa Fe. It is within easy walking distance of the Plaza and DeVargas Center (a mall with a grocery and drug store). Linda and Tim are excellent hosts. They are available to answer any question or supply whatever you may need (we needed an ice scraper for the car). They supply start up provisions and ask to make sure that they meet your needs (coffee type, pulp or no pulp in your orange juice, etc.). The bed is firm but comfortable, the shower has great water pressure, the washer and dryer work well, and the internet is fast enough and was always up. With the thick adobe walls, the unit is very quiet.

We stayed in Casita Elena the week of Sep 9-16, 2006. and absolutely loved Santa Fe and Casita Elena. We were able to walk to the historic Plaza and most of the shopping district. The restaurants, galleries and shops were a shopper's paradise and having Casita Elena to retire to was a truly marvelous experience. The owner's had Casita Elena ready for us and nice little added touches; e.g., coffee, breakfast foods, wine, and more, eliminated the need to rush out and grocery shop. I rate Casita Elena as excellent and would return again.

We were thrilled after a long day's journey to arrive to soft music, wine, food in the frig, fruit on the counter. Casita Elena is beautifully and comfortably appointed - very livable. Linda and Tim have created a special "home-away-from-home" for their guests.
