Luxurious two level stone house with a private pool that sleeps ten. Rate include 12-hour private guard service.
The house is two completely separate units each with their own bathrooms and kitchen. The downstairs is a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment that walks right out to the pool. The upstairs has a large deck that overlooks the pool. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchenette. The suites are connected by a covered outside stairwell.
This was our primary home for two years so there were numerous upgrades made to the property versus renting a house that is strictly for tourists. The main bedroom downstairs has a king size Tempur-Pedic mattress, the furniture is real leather, all of the mattress are in very good shape (our guests and family use them) with upgraded linens. The house has high speed internet (2MB service), satellite television, and the gardens were changed to allow full sun to the pool all day (water temperature is a constant 87-92F) while maintaining total privacy (cannot be seen from the road).
The house also has a full-size washer and dryer along with a on-demand hot water heater so you never run out of hot water.
The downstairs has two bedrooms with one queen bed, and a set of bunk bed, two bathrooms, a large living/dining area and a full kitchen.
The upstairs suite has large studio-like bedroom with a king bed, and a smaller bedroom with a queen bed, as well as a set of twin beds, shared bathroom and kitchenette, 14ft wooden ceilings with trusses, and 4ft thick stone walls. It is a beautiful set-up which reminded us of a European Ski Chalet that was dropped in the middle of a tropical forest... strange but true - check out the photos.
Keywords: House located in Playa Pelada on the way to Lagarta Lodge. Corner lot that is a 5-minute walk to the beach. Two levels that are completely separate suites, beautiful pool, property can sleep 10 people.

During my 2 week stay, on the 2nd to last night, the house was broken into and all of our electronics were stolen!! That's 6 peoples worth, including all my friends cloths and they also popped the safe. The house sits on a corner lot and the road in front of the parking area is well traveled. In other words the wrong people can see when your home and when your not!! The house gives you a false sense of security with all the locking gates and bars on the windows! These crooks new EXACTLY how to get in quick and easy!!! This definitely wasn't the first time if you saw how they got in! With that being said, the property managers were great! Very helpful! We met all the American locals and they knew them and spoke very highly of them! I would definitely check out their other properties or even their B&B!Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: My lifelong dream was to live on the beach in Costa Rica and for a couple of years we were fortunate enough to 'live the dream'. When we lived in Nosara we loved to play on the beach with our son and three dogs, romp around in the pool, and go to Marlin Bill's for his famous hamburgers! We also lived for a year in Escazu, San Jose (Central Valley of Costa Rica) so we have seen the whole country and experienced a lot of what Costa Rica has to offer. Feel free to ask us any questions about the country to help you plan your visits (whether you book with us or not).
Why the Owner Chose Nosara:
We wanted to live:
1) close to the beach
2) just on the edge of the busy tourist town
3) have a school for our son to go to
Nosara met all of these criteria!
We loved being able to walk 5 minutes to the beach which was practically a private beach. The road comes out to the far end of Playa Pelada and the only people that go there are the residents from the area. At duck there might be ten other people watching the beautiful sunset
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house is large enough to accomodate big groups or families but also intimate enough that a single family would have a great time here.
Sunset at the beach is very quiet and peaceful since at this end of the beach, so it is pretty much only residents from the area that go here.
When you go to the beach you will more often than not be the only people on this end of the 'playa'.
