Our family had a wonderful time staying here on our first trip to Gatlinburg. We cannot say enough about the joys of relaxing at your home while we were here. It felt as comfortable as our own home. We experienced Ober Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, and many more attractions on our stay. It has been a peaceful and relaxing trip as we celebrated our daughter’s National Dance Competition. We enjoyed our visit to The Smoky Mountains immensely. We did lots of activities, including hiking to the falls via Baskins Creek Trail. We found it; thanks for your directions. At the end of the day we always had your beautiful cabin to return to. Lots of room, beautiful kitchen. We ate most of our meals on the screened-in porch. It was great. We had a wonderful visit! My husband and I were married here 15 years ago. Our 3 children have been begging us to take them to Gatlinburg where we were married. As soon as we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy your cabin. This was our senior graduation trip with our last of three boys! It was truly perfect and we loved spending this special time in Tennessee. What a wonderful time we have had here. When we first arrived your cabin and property looked like something on a postcard. We had beautiful snow filled days and we especially enjoyed the fireplace and rocking chairs in the kitchen. The kids made their very first snowman outside in your yard. We had another enjoyable stay at your cabin. What a treat we had on Saturday evening to see a Mamma bear and her two cubs. They walked around the screened porch to the front of the cabin and down to the creek! We were excited and grabbed our cameras! Thanks again for sharing your cabin.

We can't believe that this is our 5th and last night here. Time has flown--we've had a very busy week with Cades Cove, Dollywood, Gatlinburg,and the Biltmore but each day we really looked forward to getting back to Baskins Creek Sounds. This place is wonderful--roomy, comfortable, and so well furnished. We've really enjoyed the kitchen. We ate good food and made many pots of coffee ( which we enjoyed with the goodies--thank you for those)

Our group of friends have so enjoyed the peaceful comfort of the retreat you have created. We have been saying for years haow that we wanted to "get away" together and your cabin has been a perfect venu for this trip. We've enjoyed this thoughtfully appointed cabin and how well stocked the kitchen is. The big farmhouse table is a great place to gather as a group to laugh over the day's events and plan the next! We were thrilled with the beauty of your gardens, blooming with roses, dogwoods, multi-colored quince and the peace of the rushing stream lulled us to sleep so quickly at night! July 2, 2008Whew! Time flies by so quickly in a place like this. We had a marvelous stay. Our one minor annoyance was quickly resolved. I thank you for that.My daughter and I enjoyed the opportunity to cook for our families and enjoy the meals together at the large table.My two teen grandsons and 8 yr old granddaughter watched as a turtle dug the hole to lay her eggs, birds perched to sing to us and the aroma of the flowers and honeysuckle. The cabin was a delight with all the interesting pieces and unique way you have employed them. Even the rain was pleasurable from the back sleeping porch.We hate to leave and hope to see you again.The “S” family

March 21-25, 2008The cabin was more than we expected. The pictures could not convey the absolute beauty and tranquility of staying here. We all went to church on Easter and was truly blessed.All of our needs were met and the comfort was astounding. Both of our families enjoyed everything. Loved the Cabin ....clean and neat with everthing you could asked for. The fireplace in the kitchen was my favorite place to sit and relax after a very busy day in the Gatlinburg Area. I will recommend it to all my friends and family. I can't wait to go again.

This lovely hidden cabin was the perfect setting for a two family get-together. The grounds provide seclusion, the stream a lovely background music. Our children enjoyed finding crayfish and salamanders in the stream, a big adventure for the city-raised kids. Paths meander through lovely, natural gardens, and butterflies abounded. The home was comfortable, spacious and welcoming, with a well-equipped, roomy kitchen and pleasant bathrooms. The bedrooms were lovely, with comfortable beds and snug linens. The proprietor was very gracious and accommodating. My husband and daughter became ill on the last day of our stay and she was so nice, not minding when we had to stay a little longer than scheduled check out until they felt well enough to travel. Though the property is within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, the location at the end of a quiet street means blissful calm and relaxation. I recommend this property unreservedly and would love to stay there again. If you go, make sure to read the guest book; many poetic entries are recorded there!!!

Greeting from Southern Indiana. What a wonderful and beautiful place to spend a lovely fall break.The house and surrounding outside areas were absolutely perfect for relaxing & the kids had an awesome time running, playing & laughing through the yard.As a family we have been coming to Gatlinburg for a fall retreat since 1993. What an awesome week we've had! Your home and gardens are breathtaking! Thanks for sharing them with us. We had a lot of enjoyable activities during our stay-hiking, strolling downtown and visiting Cherokee.
