My November stay at Casa Rancho was fabulous. Just a short distance to the beach, so much privacy and pristine beauty. A magnificent place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Frequent afternoon dips in the beautiful pool kept us cool in style. The food was simple, delicious and well presented. A great place to get away from the usual tourist crowds. Would highly recommend Casa Rancho.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Casa Rancho was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and the cook provided meals which were tasteful and well presented.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Janice, Thanks so much, our family had such a wonderful time. Your property was more than we could of hoped for.The decor and all of your art made us feel very special. Everything was outstanding. It is a true resort, the pool was magnificent and the breakfast was amazing. Your staff was such a great help in setting up tours and helping us with directions. Decard, your chef, was there when we needed him and Alex was a wealth of knowledge about the area, wildlife and fauna, not to mention referals to great restraunts and night life in nearby Tamarindo. The golf course was so uncrowded we could have played three rounds a day if there hadn't had been so much other stuff to do. The kids loved the stables, when they weren't on horses they were at the beach. Once again, you can count on seeing us in 2012.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My passion has been decorating and restoring interesting properties. While on vacation mayself in 2002 I discovered this villa and thought* A diamond in the rough* and fell in love with it's unique spanish colonial tropical design. Loving travel and newly retired I bought it and set out on restoring and decorating this unique villa.I saw a huge huge blank canvas. Since then I have traveled and brought many items back to furnish Casa Rancho . Everyone who has stayed says wow we love this place . I am happy that Casa Rancho has something about it that instantly makes people feel ,yes they are on vacation in a tropical paradise. That Casa Rancho for you a gem.
Why the Owner Chose Tamarindo:
This hacienda is a secluded exotic oasis but close to all towns, beaches, golf courses and large hotels. This is wonderful place to vacation. Close to people but far enough away for privacy.To restore and reguvinate as well have fun on vacation.

I enjoy strolling the property and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings , I love the birds, the monkeys, my families of Armadillo's and all the lizzards. I have a orchard with mango, Orange, lime, and banana tree's . I plant more tree's and flowers every year and always excited about how fast things grow in this very Tropical climate.
