Luxurious Historic Ranch Estate features blacksmith shop converted to bedrooms, a possible upstairs hideaway brothel into a master suite, and large formal dining and living areas with the presence of antique furnishings enhancing the modern and up to date decor of the rambling home. Large and view enhanced windows line the living room, added to the original "saloon" of days gone by, where a large fireplace replaces the original bar and the original barroom doors still stand as a tribute to those early days. The bedroom wing features 3 large bedrooms, with a variety of sleeping accommodations, with 2 full modern baths, and a possible 4th sleeping room, as well as a game room. Spacious verandas created from old hand hewn timbers expand the inside experience to the greater outdoors. The nearby cattle and horse operations give credibility to the continued ranching activities on the property. The estate home provides both privacy and access to the greater world outside its doors, where golf and ski resorts can be paired with hiking and skiing, depending on the season.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: Our family purchased this historic 600 plus acre property and lived in the main ranch house for some 15 years. Combining ranching administration with a horseboarding and haying operation, the owners now desire to share the experience with discriminating vacation renters.
Why the Owner Chose Kingsbury:
This estate home is a part of a three home parcel, with the owners living on an uphill location on the ranch.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
This unique property sits magnificently near the base of the Easter slope of the Sierras, just over the mountain from South Lake Tahoe and just 45 minutes south of the Reno Airport. The accessibility to outdoor activities of all sorts, as well as gaming, museums, and world class entertainment, the locale is ideal, the pastoral and mountain views with the huge open space that the high desert offers, is both eye-appealing and healthy.
