The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the quiet majesty of the mountains in a community setting. The neighborhood hiking trail, swimming pool, and tennis court are a stone's throw from our driveway. The best ski slopes in NC are 10 minutes away. The first stay at our house was Thanksgiving 2011. The greatest thing about our house is it provides one place for such a large group, which gave us all the chance for more family time. Parents with little children don't have to go back to their hotel room and stay with the little ones. We had 17 and this was the first year we all got to stay in one location. The kitchen works great, with one range and one cook top, enough "eyes" for our short order breakfasts. Toaster and toaster oven producing bagels and toast. while the Keurig and a 14 cup coffee maker woke us all up. The three 80 gallon water heaters made sure there were no cold showers. The cousins that don't get to spend as much together time as we did when we were little really got some quality time together. So what makes our house so unique isn't even there. It is in all the cars that pull up and unload your family. Then the most wonderful family experience begins!

This home is absolutely wonderful! Everything was clean and up to date. The layout of the home was very nice for large group with many couples. The property is close to many area attractions. I have planned the annual family gathering for 3 years now - and I was told this was the best and we are now considering adding a summer get together here as well as future winters. Thank you Alan and Carol for the use of this beautiful property!

Overall, this was a lovely house and we had a great experience. We had a group of 20 people (including children), and with the 9 rooms and 9.5 baths, never once felt crowded (each room has its own bath! Huge plus, though sometimes the water pressure was low). The kitchen was more than up to the task of feeding us, and we had more than enough space to spread out. The pool table and foosball tables were a hit as well, and there was enough common space to congregate when we wanted to. The house is conveniently located near some hiking options, and is a short drive from skiing, tubing and ice skating. There are restaurants and convenience stores within a 5 minute drive. We would highly recommend renting this house if you have a big group – we definitely plan on coming back!

We had a wonderful weekend & a wonderful time at your home! We absolutely loved the house- the beds were ultra comfy, rooms were incredible. Convenient to several slopes & towns. The only trouble we had was in hooking up our laptop to the big screen for our Bible studies- the jacks in the back were really hard to get to- I was glad we brought an AV extension cord so we could leave that plugged in until we left & switch out devices (laptop, Wii) from our cord- you might consider adding one to your big screen TV for future guests. Thank you so much for renting your home to us- we surely felt the presence of the Lord there this weekend. I'm going to speak to the ladies in our church about maybe using your home for our fall ladies' retreat if it's available. Our youth are already talking about coming back next year :)

Could not have asked for a better house for our friends and family ski weekend. The house was easy to get to. We had plenty of space for 6 families - could have easily fit one more. The accommodations were clean and very nice!! I would highly recommend this property. Can't wait to go back next year! Thank you, Alan & Carol for all of your finishing touches! Just Fabulous!!

We enjoyed a family reunion at this house. All adults and children (aged 5-21) had privacy and plenty of space to run around and play. The pool table and living area were a big hit. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath, a nice plus. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with cooking ware. There were many things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed our outing to Grandfather Mountain and the outlet malls.
