Don't let the name mislead you. This Folly Beach getaway - fondly known as The Love Shack - has been transformed into a true vintage beauty. This is not the shabby beach house of your youth, but rather the hideaway you've always envisioned.
Built and designed for one or two couples - or some other friendly combination - The Love Shack is for the selective beach goer. The beach goer who doesn't require a house that sleeps 16 and is replete with hidden charges, or who doesn't crave a cardboard condominium where proximity to the elevator is listed as an amenity, or who doesn't care for a beer-saturated surfer pad for accommodations.
The Love Shack pulls it all together: panoramic ocean views from the roof-top deck, a few short steps to the beach, privacy, two spacious master suites each with private baths featuring walk-in tiled showers and ten-inch sunflower shower heads, comfortable beds with 400 count all cotton linens, ample pillows, down comforters, and cotton blankets, modern amenities, including high speed wifi internet(see below), and a charming midcentury-modern decor.
Dogs are welcome (no additional pet charge), if pre-treated for fleas & ticks. No smoking, please.

towels, beach towels, & cleaning services; No Additional Pet Fee. Please add 11.5%
accomodation tax to the rental rate.

Fantastic New Year's Eve

My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend the last few days of 2011 at the Folly Love Shack and it was the perfect place to welcome the new year. The home is extremely well appointed, very comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated. The pictures don't do it justice. The two car garage, fully fenced in yard and two decks were icing on the cake. Last but not least, the Folly Love Shack is a short walk to the beach (the top deck offers a partial ocean view), walking distance to most of the Folly restaurants (if you like to walk) and about a 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston. This home was the best pet friendly VRBO rental we have stayed in so far and we look forward to staying there again the next time we visit the Charleston area. Our dog loved it too and appreciated the complimentary doggie biscuits which were one of the many nice and unexpected touches that made this such a wonderful home.

We had a such a fun time at your place during our Thanksgiving vacation. The place is even better than described. Literally everything you need to enjoy your stay. The backyard is like its own oasis. Our dogs were able to enjoy their vacation as much as we were. Thanks for providing such a great place with so many amenities, especially the bikes. We look forward to another visit soon.

We came back for another vacation week in May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Love Shack is beautifully kept and has all of the amenities needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, including very comfortable beds and fresh clean linens. The beach entrance is literally just around the corner, and we were so happy that we did not have to drive anywhere to find a parking spot near the beach. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the fully fenced yard which has a convenient 'doggie doody" composter at the rear so you don't have to worry about where to dispose of your canine's waste. The house itself is very private, surrounded by trees and has an absolutely fabulous roof-top deck with a view of the ocean. We spent some time up there after dark relaxing and just enjoying the stars, fresh sea air and the sounds of the ocean. A wonderful location, a wonderful house and attentive owner! Thanks Tim. We'll be back!!

We are regulars to Folly and have stayed a few places. This was our first visit to The Love Shack, and we are hooked. We plan to only stay here when we come to Folly. It is totally perfect! The house is amazingly comfortable and had everything you could possible need- and everything is nice and new and very very clean and fresh. It is very tastefully decorated in mid-century modern and the colors are so beautiful and calm. The area where the house is located is very quiet and peaceful and just around the corner from the beach. There is only a 5 block walk into town- so you rarely if ever need your car. The bathrooms- while small, are GREAT!! The shower with the new tile and rainfall showerhead is a treat in itself. The two bedrooms/baths are virtually mirror images of each other, so no bickering among guests for the best room! They are both great! There is no dining room but there is a nice eat-at bar under a skylight that is a very pleasant place and there is a nice dining table on the screen porch, which opens right into the kitchen. There is a totally fenced -in and private yard - not even small dogs can escape!!! The decks are enclosed enough to keep small dogs safe as well - that also adds some privacy. The BEST is the enclosed spiral staircase to the rooftop deck!!! All views from the house are beautiful. We just can't stop talking about how awesome this place is. We can't believe we've missed it all these years. Glad we finally found it!! We'll be back as often as we can! Tim is fantastic and great to do business with. We LOVE THE LOVE SHACK!!!!

We stayed at the LoveShack in April 2009 and loved the location and the house. Since the house is completely fenced in, our dogs were free to run and enjoy the fresh air. The house itself if equipped with everything you need for an relaxing and enjoyable vacation, and the beach is literally around the corner, just a 30-second walk from the front door. We plan to come back in 2011.

We usually go to Isle of Palms, Edisto, Sullivans Island, Garden City, or Hilton Head but your home and the locals made this the best trip in years..... Thanks again
