Nevis -Luxury Villa with Fantastic Views, Pool and Lush Garden

Nestled amidst 2½ acres of private tropical gardens, Moon Hill is a unique oasis of seclusion, escape and serenity. The villa is located at the foot of a rainforest, on the eastern side of the island of Nevis. It is accessed though a private gate and is situated at the top of a hill.

From the front balcony you'll command magnificent views of Antigua, Montserrat, and Guadeloupe, while from the rear you'll be captivated by the spectacular views of Mt. Nevis - a mountain which rises to over 3,000 feet, covered in a lush tropical rainforest.

Next to the house is your own private pool that has been designed and landscaped to seem as though you are swimming though a dense tropical garden. Between the pool and the house is a covered gazebo in which you can be served lunch by your own cook.

The villa itself is a one-story house with shuttered screen doors which open from within onto a 40' covered veranda with an open terrace for sunning.

The House
The house itself is located on the site of the existing Great House for the sugar plantation called the Simmond's Estate. The house overlooks the old estate property and many of the stonework found in the house were handcut from the existing centuries' old buildings on the estate.

The main room in the house is a large living room / dining room with a beamed ceiling. There is a large carved oak Spanish dining table at one end of the room and two couches and chairs at the other. The screened doors overlook and open onto the large veranda with sweeping views of the Caribbean sea.

A television with a VCR and a large collection of videos will keep you entertained if the sounds of crickets don't lull you into a restful state of relaxation before then.

The Bedrooms
From the living room, there is a small hallway leading to two bedrooms. The master bedroom faces the pool and has a large queen-sized poster bed hand-carved from Purple Heart wood.

The other bedroom has two twin beds and a door from which one has a view of Mt. Nevis and the rainforest. Each of the bedrooms has ceiling fans. There is one bathroom with a shower and tub from which you will have views of the mountain while showering.

Food and Cooking
Moon Hill is the only villa for rent on Nevis which provides a cook to prepare your meals. While the shopping for food and the cost of any food is not included in the rental of the villa, our cook, Tessie, will prepare a selection of meals hand-picked from Caribbean cookbooks and Gourmet magazine to tantalize your taste buds as she has been doing for our guests over the last 12 years.

The meals Tessie prepares are lunch and dinner. Lunch is generally served in the gazebo outside by the pool and dinner is prepared for you to eat at your leisure at night (the dinner is prepared and all you have to do is put it in the oven).

If at any time you'd rather eat out at one of the delightful and unique island inns located on the island, just let Tessie know and she'll rearrange the menu to suit your whim and desire.
