Paradise Resort was established in 1984 and up until 2008 it was known as Paradise Vacation Hotel. The small hotel was purchased and renovated by the new owners Alan & Deloris Stamm from Jacksonville Florida. They have a vision of creating and maintaining the perfect “Home away from Home” vacation rental.
Paradise Resort is located in Placencia Village at the south end of Placencia Peninsula overlooking the harbor. Our location provides you easy access to the activities in Placencia village in a clean, safe, comfortable and affordable atmosphere.
We are a full service resort with 12 rooms which include Cable TV, air-conditioning, lock box, Hot and Cold running water in tiled bathrooms. Our guests have usage of our Jacuzzi on the roof top, bikes, kayaks, Wi-Fi in the full restaurant, and bar. We offer pick up and drop off at the Placencia Airstrip. You will also find a gift shop, Tour-Tackle Shop, Spa, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere at the resort.
Placencia has much to offer anyone that comes here. From taking a leisurely stroll along the beautiful sandy beaches. Explore the village shops from cultural Mayan gift shops, or local wood carvers or artists, to world renown resort gift shops. While walking around the village you may still see some of the Creole women still cooking outside on what is known as a fire hearth. If you get a chance to try a plate of food from them do not pass it up. You may just want to sit back and relax on the beach or enjoy the views of the sea from our restaurant, gazebo on the dock or the roof top where nature displays her beauty in displays at sunrise and sunset. For some adventure our guests can use our bikes to explore farther afield or kayaks to explore the surrounding waters. Take a kayak out to Placencia Caye or a bit farther out to Bugle Caye or if so inclined in to the lagoon where mangroves abound with wild life. You may even meet an inquisitive manatee in your travels. For those with more of an adventurous spirit day trips both inland and out on the Caribbean Sea or local rivers can be arranged right from the Resort.
Daily tours can be arranged to the Belize Barrier Reef the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere and the longest unbroken reef in the world. Go fishing in the inner cayes or along the reef. We offer trolling, spin casting, drop fishing and the ever popular Fly fishing. Placencia is home to the fly-fisherman's grand slam and super grand slam. Dive or snorkel along the walls, canyons of the main barrier reef or explore the Faro of the inner cayes or atolls outside the main barrier. Want to go along for the boat ride and get some sun and sights, your welcome to join the fun.
Exploring history your thing? The ancient Mayan ruins are throughout Belize and most can be done in day trips right from Paradise Resort. Nim Li Punit and Lubaan Tun can both be done in a day or split them up with the Rio Blanco Falls or Cave tubing the Blue Creek Caves, the Mayan underworld of Xibalba. The stone maiden of Xunantunitch awaits you in the rainforest near the Guatemalan border with a cool refreshing swim at the inland Blue Hole on your way back home to Paradise Resort.
Interested in the flora and fauna of Belize? May I suggest a river trip up the Monkey River to the Howler Monkeys or the world's first Jaguar Preserve. These trips are a must for the avid bird enthusiast.

The owners and staff really make this a great place to relax in a clean, safe, and beautiful environment. Rooms are very clean, food is excellent . I feel like this is my home away from home and highly recommend Paradise . I liked it so much I made 5 trips in 6 months already this year (2011) . Paradise is truly a relaxing place to be and is named appropriately .Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
