Beautiful, spacious and convenient 4 bedroom, 2 bath located 15 minutes from both Sugarbush and Mad River Glenn ski areas.(only 30 minutes from Stowe) Located on private 15 acre parcel 3 miles north (1/2 mile from Route 100) of Waitsfield shopping areas. Entry to home either via a private parking area adjacent to house (rear entry) or from a patio area (via the downstairs living room) Entering through the rear entry you pass through a room with a daybed (two twin beds -- which we will reference as a 4th bedroom)
Through the bedroom go down a hallway and pass a full bathroom and storage area. At the end of the hallway turn left and enter the downstairs living room (sofa bed, loveseat, wall unit with refrigerator, wet bar, flat HD TV) There are openings on each side of the living room to a large second downstairs bedroom (new high end queen bed)
At the end of the hallway on your right is a wide stairway which brings you to the spacious second floor. There is a nice open area that houses both a full kitchen (2 refrigerators, separate freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, eat in counter counter for 4) and a dining room/entertainment area , (large screen HDTV (Direct TV provided), stereo, DVD player, selection of musicCDs and board games)
At one end of the upper level through a set of french doors is the 4th bedroom.There are two full size beds on each end of the bedroom. In the center of the room are a reading area with two leather seats and a table that holds the fax machine and printer. At the other end of the upper level (through a second set of french doors - see pictures)l is a new bedroom suite (New queen bed on one end and leather couch and love seat on the opposite end (this new room measures 13ft x 25ft) A nice deck is accessed from this new addition. Here you will find a charcoal barbecue (charcoal provided) and two chairs. Lovely mountain views from the deck.
The guest house measures over 1600 sq ft. It is ideal for two small families (3/4 per family) or for one larger family.
The guest house is adjacent to a large cleared 5 acre parcel that is bordered by a lovely brook with waterfalls. The lot is hilly and provides excellent terrain for sledding during the winter.. A wonderful private area to be enjoyed by your family.

We spent an enjoyable 3 nights (Superbowl weekend) in this spacious guest house. I occupied the upstairs level with my wife, 27 year old daughter and her friend. The girls occupied the long bedroom (with new full beds) upstairs and my wife and I slept in the spacious new addition. There was plenty of room downstairs for my sister-in-law and husband and their two children. It was wonderful to have two separate entertainment areas. The families were separated (when privacy was needed) and privacy was maintained. A beautiful dining area (part of the upstairs addition) with sufficient room for all 8 of us to enjoy meals. The guest house was well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. Harvey checked in with us periodically to see if there was anything we needed. Location of the guest house is wonderful. A short 15 minute ride to Sugarbush (or Mad River Glen ski areas) and only 30 minutes to Stowe. Harvey recommended some wonderful area restaurants. We really enjoyed American Flatbread (an institution in the Mad River Valley). We journeyed to Stowe on our way home and enjoyed breakfast at the Grey Fox Inn (home of the Dutch Pancake - just fabulous). We really had a wonderful weekend. The Guest House is ideal for 6-8 people (probably can squeeze in 10 people). Plenty of parking right next to two different entry areas. The owners live alone in the large main house adjacent to the guest house. They have a separate parking area. We were not bothered in any way and barely noticed they were home. Convenient, roomy, clean and a wonderful host. What more can you ask for? I will return to the guest house the next time I visit the Mad River Valley.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Property is in very good condition (like new) as described in listing. My family (2 adults, 3 teenagers) were extremely comfortable in the guest house. Owner was welcoming and truly made us feel like we were guests in his home, not just renters. First floor bedroom was perfect for our teenage son (full size bed and living space as well). We stayed on second floor off of kitchen. Teenage girls stayed in room off of main living area (two full sized beds and lots of storage room for all of their stuff). An easy 15 minute drive to Sugarbush Ski area through picturesque Waitsfield. Guest house was clean, cozy, and warm and was perfect for post-ski relaxation. There was plenty of room and we could have easily had 3 more guests stay with us comfortably.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We absolutely loved staying at this house. The space was well laid out with more than enough room for 6 people to stay comfortably without running into each outher. Great fully stocked kitchen with two refrigerators, new cookware and a dishwasher. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. Everything felt new and was very clean. Harvey, the owner really cares about renters having a good stay and checked in periodically through the course of our time there to see if we needed anything. Apparently he will be renovating the house to make it larger in the coming months so it will be even nicer!Owner response: It was wonderful hosting your group. I am glad you had a nice vacation. Hopefully, should you return during New Years in the future, you will join us for our holiday party.
