This newer home is located 7 canals from open water on the Gulf stream side. It's far enough from US-1 to mute the road noise,so sitting on the porch at the top of the stairs is peaceful. Looking down is a turning basin and dock for water access.

We stayed here in 2011. Excellent, Convenient location, easy access to Ocean, nice clean, quiet canal. We felt right at home after the first day! Close to all kinds of shopping, restaurants, flea market, and produce stands. Close to Key West, but just far enough away to avoid the crowds. Nice fully equipped kitchen. Comfortably furnished with great beds and seating, nice TV. A/C worked great , but the house is so well ventilated that we didn’t need to use it much. Handy boat dock. The owner is very easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again. There is so much to see and do in the area…. Many little islands to go explore… Awesome Cuban deli close by. ..Tiki bar within walking distance…. Nice neighborhood to take our daily walks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: I've always enjoyed being in the keys.Although some of my interests have changed,it's still a special place.
Why the Owner Chose Ramrod Key:
I developed the lot, selected the house design and have enjoyed the time and effort ever since.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Watching the stars at night without city lights, kayaking in the bay and about the islands.Diving and watching the under sea world.A trip or two a year to Key West, going for dinner at the No Name Pub or a more tiki bar restaurant. For me the key's have a old Florida feeling...
